Grew up being apart of the magic of the Moon. I am the daughter of the original Red Witch that would lead visitors through the winding paths down in to the enchanted fairy land up the rabbit hole and on to penny land. Everyone knew when the Red Witch was there when they would hear her cackel up to three blocks away.

The most magical place in Tucson! Kristen helped facilitate a part of a birthday scavenger hunt here at Valley of the Moon and she was patient, kind and most of all FUN! We absolutely loved it and will be returning for future events :)

A nice place to spend an afternoon. I can see how it would be enchanting but if too many people show up for an event the facility gets stretched to their ability to accommodate.

What a beautiful experience. I opened a door, passed through a curtain and a too a look in a window to find construction and cleaning supplies, that was the only down side that the groundskeeper doesnt do a better job of preserving the other worldly vision. Besides that the whole experience was very pleasant! Lots of family and laughing happy children! Even think I caught a glimpse of a fairy or two!

What a fun and magical place that weve been blessed to have for nearly 100 years in The Old Pueblo! Considering I am a 3rd generation Tucson Native, its almost surreal that my grandmother, my mom and I all enjoyed what this place is about! Id definitely recommend a visit to these grounds and encourage any donations to help keep this place around for another 100 years!

We went for their Halloween event, we had never been before, and we were curious. This place is cute, and quirky. This is definitely geared mostly for young children, but adults will probably find something a bit endearing.

Historic theme park. Magic and Faeries are the themes. Look past any expectation of technology and remember this place was established many years before computers and the tech that comes w them. The grounds have real grass, a treasure in Tucson. The buildings and hidey holes are for Faerie folk so keep your eyes peeled. Could use some attention to details like reseating displaced figures but the Faerie lights are fun. Wedding here was simple and the day was perfect. Think historic and old but the grounds can take you back to a time you believed in magic. Make sure to visit the pond!

Quirky theme park for local kids & couples to roam around. Kind of a playful Mad Max vibe to the place. Cheery staff, here and there, to answer questions.

I went for the first time for the winter fairy lights event (which was at night, but they are usually open during the day) and it was pretty cool. I would say its very kid friendly and definitely geared towards children. There is a big stage area in the middle (I hear they sometimes host concerts) and surrounding that, a winding trail that takes you around to see the various displays (fountains, fairy houses, etc).

The hallowen tour left much to be desired. I get they are volunteers but if you are charging for something you should know whats happening. Our guide didnt know her lines and then the actors along the way seemed more like they were having conversations between themselves and full of inside jokes.

First time visiting with my 4 year old daughter and we both really enjoyed it! Very shady and earthy retreat into a fairy land garden complete with water features and actors who stayed in role the entire tour. It was like a moving play, very fun for toddlers who would not sit still in a theatre performance.

A wonderful and unexpected place... fanciful and mysterious...tho currently a shadow of its former magical glory the founders vision can still be seen and experienced. New life is being breathed into The Valley of the Moon by some very dedicated people who have rescued it from the brink... if you live here or just passing through the history alone is worth an afternoon and the cost of admittance

I have been attending and volunteering at valley of the moon since I was a child. This place is one of Tucsons greatest treasures. This fantastic fantasy land (although geared towards children) is a wonderful experience for all ages. No matter how old I get I always come back. The grounds are generally open during the first sat of every month and for at least 3 shows a year. My very first show that I was in was a Halloween show but I had seen many others before becoming a volunteer. There are many unique and fun shows including Alice in wonderland, Peter pan, the princess bride and the current show, the crossroads, as well as more. I highly recommend experiencing this beautiful land. Once you step foot on the grounds you become part of the valley community and family and youll never want to leave. Azeo and health to all!
