My husband loves museums of any kind. This one has a good history of many things that have made Truth or Consequences more than a dot on the map. It was only $5 per person (were both over 60) and we were there for over an hour! There is just room after room of history! The huge murals hanging on the wall are gorgeous!

Paying $6 to enter this museum is not bad at all. The Geronimo Springs Museum in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico is small but alluring. Inside the museum building are small rooms that showcase various interesting exhibits. There’s the Apache history room that has a life-size wax statue of Geronimo.Theres a room for stone tools, arrowheads, and pottery. There is a room about ranching. This is the most interesting room — an old Hardcastle Cabin, which was moved from the Black Range Mountains to this new location in the museum. This museum is one of the nicest small museums that is located in a small town.

Great display of local history. Not only is there a section on the recent history of the town of Truth or Consequences, but there are many ‘old west’ and native artifacts. Beautiful paintings and models take you back in time. Admission is cheap.

This is an excellent museum. It takes the visitor through time with informative and thoughtful displays. From prehistoric mammoth skulls to a collection of pottery and stone artifacts from the early tribes of humans from early Sierra County. There is a wide range of history presented. Coronado and Geronimo, Hot Springs and Truth or Consequences , this is a fun little place. Worth a stop.

Nice little town museum. Entrance was $5. Lots of info on the town, how it came to be named after a TV show, how the shows MC and the stars of the show continued to visit T or C, and its history before and after the TV show. There is something for everyone from huge mastodon fossils to branding irons. You can spend two hours there if you read everything. I recommend the two narrated documentaries.

This is more a museum for T or C, but there are displays of Native American pottery and artifacts. It is inexpensive and a good use of a couple of hours. Good display of how Hot Springs, NM became T or C!

A Gold Nugget of a Museum! What a heritage we all have as Americans. Our Country was truly Forged through the Great personal Sacrifice of those who came before us. The pioneering spirit, and the backbreaking work of those who settled this land turned a desert into a blooming garden. Although a small Museum, it has just as much learning excitement as any other!! It is well worth the time you and your family deem investing. Enjoy!!

Tons of stuff to see. Doesnt look like much from the road but once inside.... It is a small town museum with a big citys display. The displays are from local families. Most are private collections on loan to the museum. There is a bit of stuff from all walks of life. One of the best arrowhead collections Ive seen.

I went to see the Geronimo exhibit which was in the far back. The cowboy log cabin next to it looked interesting but was uncomfortably warm. When my friend asked regarding Magnolia Ellis, the famed 1930s healer, the attendant was standoffish as if bothered, stating she didnt know what I was talking about .Yet the museum sold literature on Magnolia Ellis a few years back. That is where I first learned of her. However, another shop owner in the area not only knew of her, but he regaled us with stories of her miraculous deeds which warmed our heart.Of note, the arrowhead collection is unique and the authentic pottery display is extensive. Kid friendly.

Plan on spending a minimum of two hours. Its much larger than it looks from the street! As far as accessibility, I use a walker. The transitions from room to room are not smooth, and parts of the displays are too close together. It is still possible to see everything. If you use a wheelchair you might want a companion to push you through parts. There is handicapped parking near the front door, and there are ramps. A very good display. Worth more than the $6 (with $1 discount for about anyone) admission.

For what started off as something supposedly small and uninteresting, it turned out to be quite a neat little adventure. It ended up being quite large as it encompassed four buildings in all, including an authentic log cabin complete with artifacts of that day. I would definitely recommend this place for a few hours of entertainment away from the hot sun.
