One of my favorite Wyndham/Worldmark properties. Location Location Location. Easy walking distance to Taos plaza, museums and resturants. Most rooms are studios with murphy beds so not really a place to hang out. Kitchenette with no stove top. However the public rooms make up for it. Kitchen. Gym. Laundry room. Beautiful comfortable lobby with comfortable seating. Fireplaces. Drinks available all day...coffee tea juices etc. Pool. Hot tub and outdoor seating all around. Grilling area too.

Lovely property with an easy walk to downtown. Wonderful staff. Our room (102) had its own patio that exited to a community picnic area with grill. I had thought our room would have a Murphy bed, but it had a (comfy) sleeper sofa instead.

We would rate the resort over all as above average. However, the studio we rented requires rethinking. The couch can leave. By removing the couch a normal bed can be used. Both the couch and Murphy bed were uncomfortable. By removing the couch and installing a regular bed there would be more room and the flow would be better. The position on the TV and Murphy bed required us to sleep with our head at the foot of the bed. There were no drawers other than 2 small ones for 2 people requiring us to live out of our suitcase. The coffee table can be removed as well. We love the resort and love the other rooms we stayed in. Just fix the studios. We will not rent if only studios are available.

The location is easy walking distance to the Taos Plaza. The address on Expedia is incorrect and as a result Google maps show the location north of town. This is due to the address listed on Paseo del Norte (incorrect) instead of Paseo del Pueblo Norte which Google maps correctly displays as in town.

I stayed in one of the rooms with a Murphy bed. The rooms are nice, but definitely on the small side. Kind staff and great facility. The only complaint is that when people use the secondary doors, the doors slam shut and cause all the room doors all the way down the hall to rattle loudly. It was impossible to sleep one morning when one guest down the hall decided to move out early in the morning through one of these doors, slamming the door at least 10 times. Although I was in the room all the way at the other end of the hallway, my door shook every time that door closed. It was extremely annoying and lasted over at least 30 minutes. The hotel should either fix the exterior doors so that they dont slam or fix the interior room doors to absorb the shock better. Thanks to this, I overslept when I finally fell back asleep and then ended up being late checking out.

My husband and I stayed at WorldMark Taos April 2018. The location is within walking distance of multiple art galleries, shops, the central downtown plaza, and restaurants. We chose it for this reason. The rooms appear nearly all renovated and clean. Our suite (king size bed) is that there is a Murphy bed, two bathrooms, a mini kitchen, and a living area. Preparing quick breakfasts in the microwave and lunch for long hikes and outdoor excursions was very convenient and allowed us to splurge on nicer dinners. The two modern full sized bathrooms with good electrical outlets were very luxurious after a long day outdoors. We stayed in room 125 which unfortunately looked out onto a parking lot. We had a patio but never got to use it. We did not use the Murphy bed either. The king bed was comfortable. The only improvement I could recommend is that although the fixtures were new and updated the lighting in the rooms were very poor. The room was very dark despite turning on all the lights and opening all the shades.

No smoking anywhere and it is behind the Fechin Museum which has no smoking anywhere so if you smoke the nearest place to smoke is beyond walking distance. Youll have to drive! Rooms are not well lit and if it rains the TV reception goes out. You can rent a movie from your room for 14.99! Also the tea they provide is so weak, I used 2 tea bags and it still tasted like water. The coffee they provide is so bad youll want to bring your own. No ice in the fridge so youll have to go to the 2nd floor and hike to the end of the hall. Taos is a great town to visit but you can do much better than this place.

We were surprised to learn that we were staying in a time-share-hotel combination in Taos. But it was close to the plaza and we were able to walk most places we wanted to go. And there was a laundry room-with free soap!--at a point in our trip when we needed it. The room (with a Murphy bed) was comfortable . Overall it was a good place to stay, even with construction going on. (It must be the season: we had construction going on in 3-4 of the places we stayed.) There wasnt any food service, but plenty of restaurants within 2-3 blocks.

Its actually a timeshare and currently undergoing renovation. The renovation doesnt really impact your stay (except that parking is a bit tight) The lights in our room were unusually dim - bit not enough to complain. Each room comes with pots, pans, glasses and silverware. Be aware that there is no room service though. One of the biggest plusses is that there are free washer and dryer usage and detergent is provided. The location makes it an easy 15 minute walk to downtown.

This is our 6th Wyndham resort stay, the place is very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, the renovation crews were also pleasant and thoughtful. Our 1, 2 bath bedroom with half kitchen would sleep six, but it is a bit stuffy in here temperature wise. Full kitchen upstairs available for use and laundry is down the hall, but complimentary with scent free soap! Air conditioning seems to struggle so a fan would have been a nice addition in the bedroom. August in the desert... All in all a good location, able to walk to many areas of interest.

When we got to our room, it was obvious that someone had been smoking in it, even though its a smoke-free hotel. When we asked for another room, the front desk said that because we didnt have a balcony, they didnt have any rooms available. This hotel is actually a timeshare that you can book like a hotel, but we certainly didnt get the same level of service that were used to at real hotels. Apparently you can only get *exactly* the same room type - even if theres a defect with your room. The only thing they gave us was industrial strength air freshener, which only temporarily masked the smell. If we didnt have to deal with smoke in our room, this would have been a beautiful property, super convenient to the plaza. Very disappointed on the service we received.

My favorite destination in Taos. And I love Taos. Clean. Comfortable. Centrally located. Within easy walking distance of the central plaza, restaurants, watering holes, the Kit Carson museum, in short, just about everything. We did need the car to get to Taos Pueblo, with its rich history, but it was a short drive. If you can get in to the Worldmark Taos, make it your first choice. You will not regret it. And plan to spend at least a few days, for sight seeing, for enjoying the food, for learning the history, particularly the ancient Pueblo history. Taos Pueblo has been continuously occupied for more than 1,000 years. The Pueblo played a central role in two uprisings, the first in 1680, which drove the Spanish from New Mexico for 12 years, and the second, in 1847, which saw the murder of Gov. Charles Bent. His home still stands a short distance from the Plaza in the center of town.

This is a very high-class resort-style hotel that really isnt set up for folks just wanting an overnight. It was fun that we got to try a murphy bed for the first time, but I had to unplug a stereo in order to have access to an outlet for my CPAP. There also was no bedside table, although we found out that we could have requested one. If we had wanted an extra blanket we would again have had to request it. They do not offer breakfast, but there is a full kitchen, which saved us money if not time. The room was set up for socializing. There are a lot of cautions about damaging things, and they take out a $100 deposit when you register that is to be returned once they inspect the room, I presume. Conclusion: great place for a group who likes to party and hang out after skiing.

The World market Taos hotel is an interesting combination of great style and poor layout, at least in the room we had. The hotel offers nice amenities like a pool, hot tub, decent workout room, and a billiards table (but with crappy cue sticks and $1/game). It also has a full kitchen for communal use. The room has very nice furniture - couch, comfy chair, small two person dinette table, round coffee table. It has a queen Murphy bed that easily pulls open. Also a tiny kitchenette. However, the lighting is quirky, with areas that are always in shadow. The Murphy bed has a single spotlight directly overhead and no bedside tables. My wifes CPAP machine had no place to plug into, so I had to unplug the sound system (actually a large boom box) for her machine. The bathroom has a good shower, but the toilet paper holder is mounted on the back wall, essentially out of reach. We removed the toilet paper from the roller and put it on the sink. On the plus side, they provide a 12-cup coffee maker with decent coffee, and also a pouch of microwave popcorn. The kitchenette also has a microwave and a dishwasher. At check-in, you have to put down a $100 damage deposit, refunded if no damage is done. Oh yeah, the Wi-Fi is free and also secure. You do have to jump through hoops to log in, but not too difficult.

The place is beautiful. The hotel has a hot tub they keep open during winter time and it was a huge plus for us, we really enjoyed it! The rooms have a small kitchen, but there is a larger communal kitchen available as well. We had 2 TVs in our room, and there was one TV in the arcade area as well. There is also a pool table (you have to pay to use it) and a fitness room available to all guests. The rooms are a bit small (for 4 people, its better for 2) and the beds could use some improvement. The rooms do have a very nice chimeney and balconies, there is also a small table in the room. The bathroom is a good size. The place is clean, cozy, pretty, well located (walking distance to lots of good places around town), and overall a great place to stay for your visit in Taos. It is my fault that I didnt notice that the kitchen did not include any type of a stove. Im not sure why there was a colander in the cabinet, what do was I supposed to do with that. The property description states that all rooms have a patio or balcony. They dont, and I never saw anything that mentioned that the studio does not have a regular bed, but a double murphy bed that folds out from the wall. I was a little confused when I first entered the room, I was opening doors looking for the bed, and eventually found it. The kitchenette was excusable, but the murphy bed was so bad that my husband and I were fighting over the sofa to sleep on, whoever got the bed ended up in pain the next morning. On the good side was the staff and the fact that it was clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Their HR department has done an excellent job. This property is owned by Wyndam, so my expectations were not even close to being met. This reservation was book at the last minute, and I took what was available. The only way I would stay there again would be if a one or two bedroom was available.
