Its lovely, cute & cozy, quiet place. The bed was sooo comfy! And the jetted tub was nice. My only complaint is that their internet doesnt really work which is a bummer due to service being poor in the area, but we made it work.

Definitely off the beaten path. No real services in the area but it is next to a Lotaburger!

We were traveling to Colorado and decided to check out Taos. We looked for a place to spend the night. Most of the places we looked were not safe looking. We happens on Touchstone Inn. Fantastic looking place. We thought it was probably out of our price range but it was actually quite reasonable. Been, the Manager, was very kind. She is also a fantastic artist. I purchased one of her painting. I love it. The inn itself was very clean and comfortable. The mountain view is breathtaking. We spent three relaxing days there. So glad we checked out Taos. Feel replenished.

The property was quiet. The room was nice. The bathroom towels were delightful. The room was small which was okay however there was too much extra stuff in the room that made it feel tight versus quaint and peaceful.

Failed to get me a room after booking online. Nobody there, no response from them via booking company, Agoda, which is equally as terrible.

We instantly fell in love with this charming and cozy, relaxing and romantic Inn. The owner (hi, Bren!) and staff (hey, Joyful!) were so chill and welcoming. We felt right at home. The private balcony was one of many highlights and taking in the view from that balcony was the perfect way to start and close each day. Clean, comfortable, and centrally located. We will absolutely return and wholeheartedly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. If we book there again, we will make sure to get a bigger room. Our room was very tiny. Loved the heated tiles.

Great quiet hotel close to everything. The fireplace was great for the extremely cold nights in Taos. Make sure you get a reservation at Love Apple (the restaurant directly in front of the hotel) while you stay here!

The best thing I can say about Touchstone is that it is close to everything in Taos, and the bed was fairly comfortable. It could use a good cleaning, the bottom of our feet collected dirt from the floors. The two flights of stairs to our room were not lighted and hazardous after returning from dinner in the dark. A call to Bren and she said she would have her grandson look into it. The second night was no different...no lights on the stairway. I am sure this was a nice place at one time. Before booking the room, I toured the website and of the reasons for booking the Dora room was to see a mountain view from the deck. The only thing we saw was a yard that needed some attention and trees that needed trimming. I would not reserve a room at Touchstone. It is overpriced.

We booked with Touchstone last minute as we were driving to Taos, so we had no idea what to expect. It was a wonderful surprise. This is a lovely B&B right outside downtown Taos on a beautiful piece of land. Every room is decorated with an artists touch (including hand-painted sinks in the bathrooms). Our room was enormous (we stayed in the Royale), with our own patio overlooking the grounds, a living room and little kitchenette, probably the biggest bed Ive ever slept in, and a large bathroom with a whirlpool tub. We were late arriving,so Bren gave us a call letting us know where to pick up our registration information, where our room was, and how to pick up our key. It was very easy (but really dark!).The room was so comfortable and charming, but the building is old so expect some typical old-building issues (creaky floors, loose door handles). The rooms could be cleaner, but once we brought it to the staffs attention, it was taken care of immediately. Make sure to book breakfast if you want to enjoy it there. Its about a mile to walk to the main Plaza, but there is great food very close by. I highly recommend The Love Apple for dinner (make reservations) and Gutiz for breakfast. The WiFi at Touchstone is touchy, so if you need your internet fix,The Coffee Spot about a half-mile down the street is a great place to relax.

Worst experience I have ever had & NO Air Conditioning at all, with No windows operating,,,,,, DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT BOOK HERE AT ALL !!In the summer time this place is as hot as your oven, and she/ Bren does not tell you anything, just to lure you and over charge you for a room that will Sadden and disappoint you to your bone !!On the day of my call for reservation I asked Bren the owner what are the charges would be for one night stay ? , Since she does not even include her price in the google map advertising to inform people !She intentionally did not mention any other charges , only the base charge !!Only after she had already charged my visa, and I was on my way to Taos I noticed there are Other Fees equal to another $20.00 extra, and of course plus Tax.The $20 extra was charged for Bank fees for using your Visa or master card, and other unexplained charges that you never see in any Hotel, Motel, INN, or anywhere at all. I do travel a lot and stay overnight. This place used to be a B&B but no longer serve breakfast, and there are no Innkeepers, no help, and no janitorial services, she tries to do it all herself, but she does not even do that since she is too old to manage. She is the only person we saw the entire time, and there are no other employees to help clean the grounds, and rooms.I tried to open the windows since there is no air-conditioning, but windows were too old and inoperable, and only she knew how to open them, there were blinds and were stuck together, and at the end she accused me of damaging her blinds, and windows were aluminum single pane which you had to operate the Hand Crank to open, and that was broken too. After complaining she moved us to another room down the stairs, and even then we had to leave the place for dinner and come back late at night. It finally cooled off somewhat with window wide open. tried to sleep but few dogs in the neighborhood kept barking all night without a single pause, then closed the window to avoid dog barks, and we eventually slept barely a few hours, you will read dog barking in few other guests reviews as well .There are many Heath ,Safety, and Building Codes issues that I noticed, and our room was separated from another room just by a piece of Styrofoam which is a fire safety hazard, including few other building, and safety , and Heath Codes which are questionable to say the least.I will be addressing, and reporting these issues with the local Building, Fire Safety, and Health Department , and other licensing, and certification just for the protection and safety of public.

This was the most disappointing accommodation we have ever experienced. After arriving, we discovered that the breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was an additional $40, and even though we had a coffee pot in our room, there was no coffee provided because we hadnt paid for breakfast. The heat was radiant heat from ancient baseboard heating that took a full 24 hours to warm up the room. The bed was only a full and not a queen, because the room was so small that a queen wouldnt fit (as it was, my husband kept tripping on the baseboard heater every time he got out of bed on the wall side to stumble to the restroom), and the head board was up against the sliding glass doors. By 1:30 in the morning of the first night, we were both awake and hurting from the ancient mattress, so we got on top of the covers for cushion, even though it was only about 50 degrees in the room. The box spring was so old that the lining of it was hanging down to the floor and it was full of holes. The owner, who was very gracious, tried to help us by digging up some coffee and adding blankets under the sheets, but after the second night (we actually piled up pillows to sleep on top of) we said thats it! We didnt care if we had paid for three nights non-refundable, we were out of there! We forfeited our third night stay, and left a day early. Even though the owner knew we were uncomfortable and unhappy, there was no offer to refund for the third night.

Though presented as a less expensive alternative to higher priced luxury hotels, the property was a bit rundown and our room was an awkward hodgepodge of do-it-yourself refinishing. The entire experience felt like a self-service destination. Though it wasnt presented as an a feature, there are NO views. This said, it was quiet and clean. Well look for an alternative next time.

Weve stayed here before and the stay and Brads breakfast was amazing. This time, we came here solely for breakfast (frankly we couldnt really afford $150+ a night to stay + pay for breakfast for two additionally) and we were saddened to see our meal would no longer be prepared by the chef, but aides in training, instead. Though it was nice, it was one course and vegetarian only breakfast for which I thought the $20 was too much for :(Saddened by my second visit here.

Very comfy bed, cozy room. Overall a cute place, but there was no toilet paper, toilet was tough to flush, and there is no temperature control in the room. Like everywhere in Taos, cell service was sketchy, no wifi. Would stay here again, though, it was really a quaint and comfortable place.

The floor and throw rugs were covered with dirt, dust bunnies and lint. The jacuzzi in the bathroom spewed an orange gunk that floated on the surface of the bathwater. Yuck!! The towels and robes were old and scratchy. The wifi was practically non existent except from the parking lot! There was no breakfast, and I never saw the innkeeper. For $139 plus tax per night I would have expected more.

This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a Bed and Breakfast! I urge you not to book here!!I booked a reservation at the Touchstone Inn, which is listed all over the internet as a Bed and Breakfast (as it is here on Google). As our reservation got close, I sent an email to the owners to let them know that my sister and I are gluten and dairy free in our diet. Brad, the owner wrote me back and said that they had quit making breakfast and had no food acommodations available. I wrote back to him and told him that they should not advertise as a B & B since they dont serve breakfast. After Brad received my email, the day of our planned arrival, he called and spoke with me in a very angry tone, telling me that he was canceling our reservation. This left us scrambling to get a place to stay because we were literally a couple of hours away from Taos and our expected stay at Touchstone Inn.We would have stayed, even though the Inn was incorrectly advertised as a B & B and couldnt believe that they cancelled us because of an email advising that they are incorrectly advertised!!
