57 years of Seminole football tradition are engraved on 106 Sod Markers in the Cemetery.The opposing team, year and score of road game victories where FSU was not favored, all road wins against UF, and all bowl and playoff wins are shown on bronzed markers buried in the Cemetery. A history of the tradition is on a bronze monument on the Cemetery fence.The Sod Cemetery celebrates victories when others thought that a win could not be a achieved.The Sod Cemetery has been voted one of the top 100 traditions in college football and is featured in ESPNs College Football 150, celebrating the best stories in the college game.
