A charming and tranquil escape from city life right in the middle of it all. Perfect place for kiddos to play, couples to reconnect, or for one to reflect.

This is my local park since I live downtown and Im grateful for it! Over the past four years, Ive visited frequently. Ive run laps, played Pokemon Go, used the pull up bars, visited the conservatory, chilled by the duck pond, had picnics, etc. Its a park filled with trees from around the world and its beautiful all year round. Theres a lot of history in this park (apparently the lion statues are one of a kind in the entire world) and I hope its properly maintained for many future generations to enjoy as well.

It was so much fun looking for the painted stones left by WE ROCK TACOMA (TACOMA ROCKS) Washington. The grandchildren and had a great experience. loved them and so did I. Thank you TACOMA ROCKS.. The park is nice with a hot house garden, nice place ground, trails, hills, pounds, awesome ducks, water / splash pad for the kids.

Very unsafe location now days. Homeless folks everywhere, which is mostly fine, but those in a drugged-out psychosis are dangerous and leave garbage and paraphernalia everywhere. It is such a gorgeous park otherwise... shame really.

The park itself is actually decent in size and otherwise well kept. It is within walking distance of the hospital and some restaurants. The park can be a bit hostile at times with people trying to live out of the bathrooms and throughout the park. Definitely would not leave children or pets unsupervised here.

We enjoyed a leisurely walk around this charming park. The Rhodies were in bloom and I love reading the tree names and dates. We used Google Lens to Identify some of the unlabeled plants. The Conservatory wasnt open so Id like to come back when it is. It was a nice park for me and my husband to have a socially distanced outing.

Wright park is an urban oasis in the middle of Tacoma. Well maintained grass areas are perfect for relaxing in the sun. Wide packed gravel paths are excellent for walking, riding bikes and strollers. The playground is large and has a variety of things for young kids. A small water play area is ideal for younger kids to play and cool off. There is a large pond with a bridge which provides an excellent area to just relax while listening to water. Overall its a great little park that is easily accessible for anyone in the Tacoma area.

Lots of homeless but for the most part its a great park. Reminds me of my childhood playing on the playground watching people play basketball. The homeless and addicts are always laid out or have their carts and such with them so just be careful if u have children with u. Be mindful coming here. The kids love it but as a parent Im just cautious. And nothing against homeless either. Im just stating there is a problem in the park with the homeless.

I grew up all over the north end. My mother used to take us to Frisco freeze for burgers and we would eat them at Wright Park. Today I took my little brother to get burgers and we ate them at write park. Its a beautiful park they have 150year old trees with plaques telling you what they are and when they were planted. They also have a squirrel who loves French fries.

I used to live across the street from Wright Park and though I loved the park during the daytime, I made sure to avoid it in the dark/evening times. There were several times where I could hear women crying for help or in distress. The park is beautiful and there are a ton of summer activities which take place here. Just save the jogging for when there is ample lighting.

This is a well maintained historic arboretum (1890s) used as a city park. It has good facilities to include a childrens playground. It has very good gravel trails throughout which are popular with walkers and joggers. There is an increasing number of tent residents near the pond area. Some of the residents can be loud and aggressive, but most are not bothersome. Finding parking can be a challenge, but not if youre willing to walk a bock or two.

This park has always been one of my quick go-to escapes from life. I love taking my bunny or any of my friend’s pets here because they love the stretch of green to run around in as well as seeing the ducks and squirrels haha. I’ve also never had any issues with other owners or their pets because everyone is respectful. It can be a little sketchy at night but I’ve never had any problems and I like to go for a lot of relaxing late night walks around downtown. Definitely a scenic place for photoshoots or to have a nice picnic with a loved one. Any strangers I’ve met so far, have always been polite as well. It’s also a great venue for when they have events.

The lawns are clean and well taken care of, which means you can easily find a pretty spot to sit down on and have a picnic or journal. There are also a lot of trees, different trees in fact, which makes it look really gorgeous and not monotone. Its super pretty in fall. The trails in the park are pretty close to each other so you dont feel like youre stranded on one side of the park - you actually see other people and stuff. The trails are stroller friendly even though they arent paved. There are hills and stuff, but thats what makes a park so beautiful. You can sit on one of those hills and just chill. Pus, theres a tree with poky balls.
