My daughter, grandson and I got food at metropolitan market for a picnic lunch at Old Town Park. There are 2 tables under the awning and another closer to Anthem coffee. It was clean and the park is well-kept. We appreciate these outdoor family areas especially during Coronavirus.

A quaint yet fun park for the whole family. Park consists of a large open green space for play as well as a large play structure, basketball hoop with small court and covered picnic gazebo. This park was a pleasant surprise off a busy street but set far enough back that its a fun and safe play area for kids. There is also a circular paved walkway perfect for childrens scooters or beginning riders. Close to fun shops and eateries. Well definitely be back!

We had sp much fun at the events put on at this park over the summer. We got to learn about the founders of tacoma and asked many questions about their cabin. The staff was friendly and eager to answer questions/share their knowledge. The event we went to had point defiance zoo bring iut some really neat bugs and the kids were absolutely enthralled the whole time. The handler even let the kids touch the bugs! Right outside the cabin is a beautiful park and we stayed for a good part of the day.Parking is very limited though, so plan ahead!

Beautiful Park in the depth of Old Town Tacoma. Had a nice pavilion and a incredibly historic Job Carr cabin. There wasnt any trash or litter and was really clean. Also, there is the Athem Coffee shop which influenced my morning. I had a great time there.

Quaint neighborhood park with a small playground and swings for smaller children. There is also a small basketball hoop. The park is flanked by a coffee shop and a local museum like educational area making this a good spot for a day outing with children

Lovely local park with bandstand, play area and childrens history log cabin museum. No public restroom, though a honey bucket is often available. Local food and coffee shop are nearby.

Perfect playground for toddlers and preschoolers, unless you have a runner- there is a big grassy area dividng the playground from the street, but no fence and 30th St is very busy. Come on a day when they are doing storytime or another event at Job Carr Cabin (best for ages 3+). Park is adjacent to Anthem Coffee. Limited parking directly in front but plenty on the side streets.

I love this park. Its nice and big, you can play fetch with your dog; quiet; good for long walks; plus a place for kids to play! There is. Also a cabin with historic meaning, not just for Old Towne, but for the entire Puget sound and Tacoma community.

Pros: Shady, clean, free parking, not crowded.Cons: Few facilities, potentially limited parking on a busy street.Tiny, hidden little park on North 30th in Old Town. There are no picnic tables it nevermind: the green lawn is mostly flat and free of litter; bring a blanket and youre set. Theres a small playground, a single basketball court and a view of the waterfront. Local favorite Anthem coffee forms one border; a cozy replica of Tacoma founder Job Carrs log cabin houses a museum on the other. Parallel parking on 30th is free at parks entrance and a steep hill at the back prevents little ones from wandering into traffic. I found it nearly empty on a early August Saturday afternoon, and a nice escape from the summer heat. A gentle breeze wandered up from the Sound, and the mix of towering evergreens enclosing three quarters of the park provided ample shade.
