Oh what a wonderful day.I have lived in Hawaii for over 25 years with beautiful beaches. This trip was awesome, to get to see Puget sound is a whole different world. Experience I will treasure!! Lots of different bird life and plenty of sea otters. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!Until we meet again Puget sound!!A Hui HOU!!

Today the waves were spectacular when they crashed against the shoreline causing a magnificent show of various levels of spray. The parking lot was flooded and small children in brightly coloured rubber boots bounced merrily from puddle to puddle. The power of mother nature leaves me in awe and the joy emanating from the children made my heart happy.

Me and my husband like visiting this pier, fishing, walking, sunbathing, you name it. We love that we still have some sort of access even though we dont live directly on the water front. It can get a little busy and hard to park sometimes but we dont mind at all.

This area is usually clean, but every now and then youll find people who left their trash laying around. There are two restrooms available, but toilet paper stock is questionable, so I always have a roll in the car just in case. The parking lot isnt very big, it is sometimes a long wait to get a spot because there is no additional parking within a reasonable walking distance. The road parking nearby is reserved for residents. Its a nice place if you can get a parking spot and people havent thrown their trash everywhere.

Quaint and small, the park is perfect for a sunset stroll, fishing pier occasionally open to the public. Parking is limited, as are the number of seats in the ocean front restaurant twenty yards from where the first picture is taken. Ginos is its name make reservations particularly on weekends.

This is a great place to fish, but irritating because of peoples lack of common courtesy. People will throw over your line, blow cigarette smoke all over you and your family (even though smoking is prohibited and its clearly marked), push in 1ft beside you and then throw over your line, throw their lines of your crab pots...a guy on a kayak today was peddling by so close to the pier that he caught someones line as it was cast out and then flipped the guy off after continuingto try and carry his line further out which was crossing everyone else there..so on and so forth. There are some regulars here that are pretty awesome and it looks like a lot of families enjoy the beach...but do not expect to fish comfortably or have your kids out on the pier if you dont want them exposed to continuous 2nd hand smoke, crass language, and rude people everywhere.

Fishing Review:The pier gets fairly busy at peak times (5pm - 7pm) and you may have to knock off a crab or two from your line at any given cast. But, if that doesnt bother you much, then this spot is pretty relaxing with a good opportunity to catch with the right skill set.

Great place for kids to explore. Lots of opportunities including the newly built swing set and playground finished in 2015. People will love the new Decor on the playground at Dash Point, I live on the beach and I see kids 24/7 quite almost either on the swings, slide, jungle gym, or even the doc or enclosed structure was included in the pictures for grilling so just bring your charcoal and youre good to go,.

The drive there is shaded and gorgeous. The playground is simple, but you cant beat the view from the swings. Make sure to wear shoes on the beach to avoid stepping on glass. Fun to watch people fish off the pier. There are public bathrooms and one fine dining option.

Small beach, small parking lot. Located in a community whose private parking is with the park. One way entry. It does have a lovely boardwalk. Kid friendly.

Review №20

Nice place. Very small. Not really a sandy beach as advertised. There is a small sandy area at the playground. It is dirty because people dont clean up after themselves. I would not allow my kid to put there foot in the sand. Has a small playground area and parking is definitely an issue. Nice water front restaurant right out front though. I probably wont go again because of the parking issue. If parking was not an issue I would definitely go again and would have given a 5. It does has benches to sit but not to many. Bring your own chair if you need to sit down. The pier is small but very nice. It is closed due to quarantine but it is still small. It is kid friendly though. Its about a 30 minute drive from South Hill with no traffic. Nice place!

It LOOKED super fun, but parking is ridiculous. If you arent there early enough, you basically have to be a local resident or park far away and walk (there are other parks to go to, so we didnt do that). We may give it another try during a weekday, but I wouldnt get your hopes up about parking there during a summer weekend (especially if you arent planning on arriving early).

Went to Dash Point Park on the weekend with my boyfriend and his daughter. The tide was high, so we didnt have a lot of beach to explore, but we did get a chance to wade through the water, fly a kite, and walk through the forest trails nearby (which, I believe, connect to the campground - we didnt walk that far). The beach was very clean and, although it was a warm, sunny day, there was plenty of space for us to snag a large area of sand. There are restrooms fairly close to the beach which is nice, although we didnt utilize them on our visit. The forest trails are fun - there is an area with a hollowed out tree that is now basically a natural slide. It was super fun to slide down!Would like to come back on a lower tide because, from what I see in other #localguides photos, the beach area really expands!
