Absolutely fascinating. Wonderful collection. Some confusion on various tours so would like to go back for other ones. Very crowded. Old cars on third level cant really be seen when some are far more interesting than looking at a 92 Grand Am on floor level. Very hot, maybe open garage doors during tours for air flow. Was disappointed that there were not Lemay souvenirs to buy for the kids, like special cars. Only toys were for very young. Nice that you can get so close to the cars. Will definitely be back.

This place has so much going on that its hard to describe. Acres and acres of restored cars and one of a kind vehicles (in one building, there are collector cars stacked on shelves), but also a massive collection of vintage radios and vintage boat motors. Its an incredible collection of collections.

This is a good family fun Museum the guy is very in-depth to all the knowledge of the cars individually to the knowledge of the cars there even where they come from or why they would if they were reconstructed or they were done by them about somebody else the price is now that bad the price is only like $15 and like $5 for a kid after 7:10 I really recommend is for those who like the history of the cars as for those who likes cars in general

Easy to find and very interesting place that is operated by volunteers. It has a small parking lot. Hundreds of vehicles in multiple buildings. I found this place to be better and more educational, overall, than at the fancy Tacoma museum. There is a moderate entry fee and many auto memorabilia items are for sale. Restrooms are clean.

Not just cars, lots of history here. Employees were all very nice and helpful. Went on a whim for something different but needed more than the 2.5 hours we had left in our day. We live close by but never stopped before. Will be returning very soon. Psst. Groupon is your friend.

I love this place! Its the opposite of what you get at the LeMay Car Museum by The Dome... Here cars are all around the place- some of the coolest are outside. Also, there are Rodin sculptures in their sprawling gardens...a wonderful gem in the south end...

I much prefer this, the family collection, to the silver slug (Americas Car museum). Why? Because at this location you can actually get close to the cars. You can look inside and see the interiors, and see the back. At the slug the cars are clumped together side by side and roped off preventing you from seeing them in any detail. Also the family collection has more cars. On certain dates they offer Model T rides, which I fully endorse. It was a very fun experience. Come here, spend an afternoon, its worth the entry fee.

Gearheads & appreciators of unique automobilia, this is your promised land. Ive seen extensive car collections, but can promise you theres no place like this. And its not just cars--there are motorcycles, bikes, & curiosities of all sorts here. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. With that said, there are places to sit & take little breaks. This place isnt widely advertised & is sort of a hidden gem. Hard core car people will appreciate the small group tours through 2 enormous warehouses packed full of priceless cars that you wont see anywhere else but here. Make it a point to visit. You wont be disappointed.

The best collection of autos, motorcycles and various other mechanized war vehicles I have ever seen. LeMay had various tastes that encompassed a wide swath of the motor industry. Cars are artfully displayed, but also shown en mass in warehouses. Go to both museums.

The tour was well led and very informative. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about cars. . . and other things as well. The only slight downside is that there are so many cars a number of them are on racks and difficult to see. Thats only a slight downside because there are still a lot of cars you can see (plus an outboard motor collection, doll collection, and many others).

Worth every penny of the $15 admission. Be sure to take the guided tour of the other buildings that includes hundreds more rare vehicles. Youll see everything from cars used in TV shows, to a fully-restored school-bus from the 1930s, to a Soviet KGB officer limousine. Allow at least 2-3 hours to see everything, and grab a bite to eat before you go since youll want to stay for a while.

Lots of history with every item thats been collected and meticulously restored. You can hear some great stories depending on the tour guide you get. Note that its not an experience for small children since the items on exhibit and in the guided tour cannot be touched, and rightfully so. There is a kids area where they can play and color, but adult supervision is required.

I have lived here forever and finally went to LeMay. Awesome collection of cars, and really laid out nicely. Self-guided tour was great, but I really like the guided part where we went from vehicles in order from the early 1900s to today. The guide was very knowledgeable and he could answer questions about every one. Be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours, and you can spend all day if you really are a motor head!

Like an indoor year round Greenwood Auto Show, a *must see* (once) and a truly head spinning collection of cars of all vintages. You will want to bring houseguests here ... trust that instinct! Wear outerwear. Its insanely cold here in the winter. You will wander rows and rows of oldies, however probably half of them are up on racks above the floor where its impossible to see more than their grilles. No touching anything ever, so a difficult place to bring curious kids. Or curious adults for that matter.Unlike the Greenwood Auto Show, its a *must see* that doesnt really call you back and back (except that houseguests keep coming!). Its kind of a lonely place with not a lot of personality unless you count the cars ... and I know some of us do. But really, in terms of excitement and engagement it literally feels like walking through a crusty old dudes oversized unheated garage (which you basically are). Not to be snarky but I dont know what they do with admission as its not much of a museum ... very little explication, no interactive exhibits, no docents, too few by far activities for the community to participate in. IMHO they could do a lot more to honor this millionaires passion for cars if theyd see their way to evolve the biz from guarding his horde to taking responsibility for deepening and communicating the very unifying American experience of the automobile!

Great place for the hard core car buff. Unlike the more polished museum downtown, this is hundreds and hundreds of cars ranging from gorgeous restorations to well preserved originals to project cars. The docent that escorted me was personable and had a great store of information about Lemay and his collection. Lots of very rare cars, custom jobs, Lemay family personal cars, commercial vehicles and some motorcycles as well. The collection in the main building is well marked and displayed and makes the trip worth the visit, but if you choose to take the full tour be prepared for a bit of a hike and more vehicles than you can possibly absorb in one visit. Some are on shelves 3 high in the biggest building.

This is a hidden gem of the meseums in the state. Both the Tacoma and spanaway are great but for different reasons. The Tacoma has very prestigious collector editions that are well protected. This location gets you up close and personal with cars. I never thought of the smell of 1900s cars, but you can tell. It just feels more personal, like history surrounds you. Neat!

The best auto museum of them all when it comes to volume! There is no lack of cars, they are everywhere. The LeMay family Annual Car Show gives you a unique perspective as they open up Harold & Nancys house where it all started. Harolds inattentiveness to put cars places one might not expect them will make you question, this also gives you an opportunity to see some other collections that are there as well. The grounds at Marymount are well taken care of and take you back to a few decades as well. I would recommend this for an afternoon family outing!

What a great time we had here even though the tour was somewhat limited. The staff and guides were very friendly and knowledgeable even with last minute arrivals. Look for Groupon deals but regular prices are still reasonable. The grounds where the cars are displayed is about as international as the cars themselves.
