Highly recommended if you’re in town and want to get your hands dirty with some mud, or to even paint your own pottery in a very inviting, inspiring and unique shop connected to a very diverse and creative gallery showing the art of tons of local and out of state artists. The owners are very welcoming and kind as soon as you’re greeted, very experienced and genuine. So if you’re in town you should put this gallery on your to-do list!

Awesome experiences happen here! All kinds of classes available; from just trying it & step by step of all the basics, to mastering your craft. Mark Hudak is a master potter and teacher, and the studio & gallery are run so well, its just an all around pleasure to be part of. I vote it one of the best places in Tacoma to try out a new craft experience. Also available in the Gallery is a paint your own ceramic pottery area, which is fun for all ages.

I had to sadly stop attending classes due to military obligations. The instructor is very knowledgeable and will even joke with you about the process and steps to help you remember. The pottery classes are self-paced and what you put into it is what youll get out of it. The only complaint or frustration i have with the way the pottery classes are setup is that once youve past your beginning course you usually sign up for another class to advance more. However, the amount of attentiveness youll receive will be less than your first due to another wave of new students coming into the class. They have Open studio times for you to practice on your own or even teach yourself. Just walk in and start with having fun with the clay. I hope this review is helpful and detailed what youll experience.

Owner of this place was incredibly rude and short tempered and I was only in the store for 10 minutes. I do not recommend going here unless you are looking for classes, and even then, you may be mistreated. A more customer friendly place is Klay Crazy in Auburn. When I went here to ask for open studio throwing/glazing/firing prices and what they have to offer, they were extremely helpful and friendly.
