I love this place! The owners are local, and so friendly. They come out with yearly pumpkins - new colors, etc - and each one is different and hand blown glass.

My mother and I love to be creative... As a surprise, I decided to visit her over her birthday and take her to a glass blowing class (she does stained glass art so this is right up her alley!) When we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff who checked us in immediately. There lovely girl at the front (unfortunately I cant remember her name) was very helpful, informative and wasnt afraid to be honest about some decisions we were making color-wise. When we went back into the shop we were paired with Ben. I have to tell you... you guys have a rockstar in Ben. He is funny and informative not to mention very easy to work with. Working with Ben you just know he wont let you walk about of the studio without something you absolutely love. He even made my mom something special for her birthday (honestly I think she likes it better than her bowl! lol) We talked about making this an annual thing, and I will say I hope we do! Thank you for giving my mother and I an experience we will never forget... Amy in Denver

So knowledgeable and friendly for my 1st experience! The gal up front who checked us in was thorough explaining the safety rules and regulations. Made us feel a lot safer about handling melted glass. Another lady helped us choose which project we would be doing (we both picked bowls). She gave a ton of great tips on picking colors and what would look best for each project. We were given gloves and safety glassesbefore entering. When we got into the studio itself, we had Edgar for our teacher. He was AWESOME! He explained everything in detail so there would be no mishaps. He went through the procedure slowly and methodically for each of us, and our projects turned out amazing!Well definitely be going back to make more!

Really fun doing the glassblowing experience with family. Recomend to anyone wanting to try something new. No previous skill required. Will definitely go again. Instructors are very nice and let you do most of the work while guiding you through every step. Was able to pick up our pieces the next day and everyone loved theirs. We made ornaments, paperweights and a birdhouse.

I am not one to post reviews, but my experience at the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio made me change my mind. I work and sell stained glass collectables and I have always had a curiosity with glass blowing. After watching Blown Away on TV, my daughter and I decided to take a leap and try the experience at the Tacoma Glassblowing Studio. SHOCK and AWE! Five stars to the gals that work behind the counter and assisted us in choosing the colors, shape and style of what we were going to make. TEN stars to our instructor, Ben, personable, professional and a ton of fun. We have already decided to make it a yearly experience! Thank You Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio!

Can I give them six stars? I wish I could. My wife and I stopped in just to look at glass pieces and they invited us to watch the current session in progress. We were so impressed we asked if we could do it on the spot. They were full and invited to the first session the very next morning. We came back and enjoyed the glassblowing session with Chris. He is very knowledgeable and helped us every step of the way. Chris is the only name I remember but all the staff were great from the check in to checkout. Sometimes you forget that there are fun things to do in your hometown. Super impressed and will do it again as well as give the experience as gifts.

This was the most amazing experience ever. I was in town for the weekend and my friends have been here before and highly recommended it. When you arrive you get to select your project that you want to make and the design and colors. The staff is very friendly and takes lots of time with you to make sure to capture what you want to make.Once you have your colors selected and prepped on the tray, you head into the glass blowing room. Our instructor was Jake. Jake did a fantastic job explaining the process and letting you do as much as you were willing to do. There are a few steps that they have to do like getting the glass out of the furnace and finishing the edges. It is amazing to see the beautiful piece take shape right in front of you. I think that this could be very addictive. If you are from out of town they will ship your piece to you for a very reasonable price. Be sure to make your reservation early because it is a very popular activity.

I surprised my husband with a glass blowing experience for his bday- and of course I did it myself too lol. This was so fun. And people at the studio are soooo friendly- from the folks in the front who help you pick colors and designs to the glass blowers themselves- everyone is so kind. We learned so much and had a blast. Very talented and very kind people. Great activity for anyone and everyone!

My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was great. Obviously you have to have a certain level of expertise in order to not totally mess up the item you’re making but they still let you help out a good amount (more than simply blowing when it comes to that point if your making certain projects). The employee who worked with us (forgot his name, sorry!) was very professional and knowledgeable and made it a great experience. On top of that, since it was our anniversary after we finished he used some of our extra glass and made us a glass heart free of charge. Couldn’t ask for better service or a more memorable item (in addition to what we made) for our day out. We will definitely go back in the future.

This was truly one of the most unique and interesting activities Ive participated in. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic; everyone bubbling with information theyre eager to share. No experience needed to create a project! They walk you through, start to finish. So many projects to choose from and a myriad of colors to work with. Very professional/ safe environment as well. There are beautiful pieces for sale as well; intricate and amazing.

Such a great experience! Chris was an absolutely amazing instructor. He took time to explain the what and why to every step of the process. He was super patient and helpful the entire time. We did the experience and definitely recommend! I apologize that I dont recall the gals name that did the first half of the process but she was totally awesome too! We are so glad that we choose to visit TGS while in Washington. Come to San Diego!! It would kill out here!! Thanks again!

FRAUD WARNING~ They take money for Gift Certificates for Glass Blowing Experience and then never send the certificate. We called them repeatedly, and they always had some story....We finally just reversed the charges. We bought this certificate for a terminal cancer patient, and to say that they wasted precious time is putting it lightly. This place is a joke, avoid them at all cost.
