A party without James Daniel Entertainment is not a party. We have used James Daniels for many occasions from my wedding to the recent 50th birthday party for my husband. If you want a PARTY, James Daniel will bring it!!! Your guests will only ever remember the food, alcohol, and music - and our guests are still talking about how Jimmy played an awesome mix for all ages and ensured that the dance floor was packed all night! Jimmy even heeded our request for no line dances, so much so that he stood up to the mother of the bride! Thats a brave DJ! He also did a great job MCing and keeping everything moving. Leading up to the wedding, he took the time to talk often with my husband and me, to get to know us, and really put us at ease. We have been to many weddings, and some with James Daniel DJs, and there is NO comparison!!!My only little notes were that you need to be VERY specific about ALL your needs, and Jimmy will heed them: for example, we requested some standard country songs, and Jimmy played all the country songs almost immediately at the reception, all in rapid succession (usually theyre best a little later in the evening, and not all together!); he also ended the night with Proud to Be An American for no discernible reason, much to the chagrin of my husband and me (instead of something like Friends in Low Places or whatever). So, just be specific about your needs and he will do it!

I had heard about Sean Big Daddy from some friends and I have to say I was astounded with his service. First off, he was incredibly polite and excited to be a part of our big day from the minute I contacted him. From there every correspondence and all the planning went super smooth. He even met with me to get a copy of the song I wrote for the first dance.Now flash to the day of our wedding, he showed up with true excitement and skill. From the moment he set up his equipment, the music selection was perfect. He was able to play the music requests I asked both for the ceremony and the reception. Personally I like Christian music and he made it seemlessly coincide with all the other dance music. He was even able to switch the way my bridal party did introductions completely last minute. On top of that, he even sang songs during our event. Ive got to tell you - DJ Big Daddy is an absolute FORCE OF NATURE! Oh my gosh where to begin? I am part of a group that needed to hire a DJ & MC for a function we were having and we called James Daniel to see what they could offer. After speaking with a very friendly and knowledgeable person in their sales department (Paul, as I recall), they told us that we had to have Big Daddy and his team and that he would bet his job on the fact that wed be blown away with his service and performance (!) So, we went with it and... well, that salesperson still has a job and should get a promotion! There is seriously *nobody* who entertains like this guy: the welcoming of all our guests and how he immediately got them to let their guard down and feel involved in the event was amazing! People were going up to his booth all night and requesting songs from him and just sharing a laugh or even a hug... Ive just never seen anyone bond with a crowd of people... of strangers... like this. Mark, the DJ he brought with him, was great too, keeping a steady stream of fun dance music going on the whole night and playing all our requests, but the absolute crowning moment of the whole evening? When Big Daddy took the mic and BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN with the most amazing *live vocal performance* of Dont Stop Believing youve ever heard! The whole crowd was on its feet screaming along with the chorus while he held the mic up over our heads! Seriously - the best party Ive ever been to and this man was the reason why. Our immense thanks to Big Daddy and James Daniel for making this happen for us. Be ready for our calls to re-book for the next 10 years!

My company recently had an offsite meeting and it was a total success. James Daniel handled both the audio/video work and entertainment. The presentations went well. There were zero technical glitches with the sound or the TVs. The suggested entertainment was a casino night that included several tables and fake money. Neal and Elmer were amazing casino hosts. The night was high energy and great fun. I would not hesitate to hire James Daniel again. They helped with everything from the vision to the execution of the day. Everybody was professional, on time and focused on making sure that the group had a good time.

James Daniel Entertainment was provided a DJ and photo booth service for a wedding reception I was at a couple of weeks ago, but I would not have been aware they were providing anything at all had it not been for my friends and the bride.Sure, there was evidence they were there via equipment, but they were not the ones DJing, maintaining the photo booth, or engaging with the guests. Had it not been for some wonderful guests there, this service would have been nothing but equipment. Youd probably be better off renting it somewhere else.

After being deployed twice in under two years, it is a challenge to schedule a proper wedding which was important for my wife and I. We were referred to James Daniel Entertainment with very high expectations in hopes that they would help make this important day to us one to remember for a lifetime. They did just that, except in the wrong way.Two minutes before introductions, the DJ told us that he did not have the songs for our first dance, the daughter father dance, nor the mother son dance. The DJ could not mix music, which resulted in multiple awkward silences, and he did not play the types and genres of music requested. Also nothing that we scheduled on the itinerary that we provided was complied with. With this disaster, one of our friends who was a DJ in college had to take over from the DJ provided and only then did people start dancing.The photo booth was a disaster. The company promised my wife a guest book that we could pictures in. This did not happen and now my wife and I dont have a guest book for our wedding. The individual working the photo booth was not inviting or advertising the photo booth and instead just sat in a chair to the side of it. This also resulted in many of our guests not being aware that we even had a photo booth.In an attempt for James Daniel Entertainment to rectify this situation by some sort of financial refund, we were told that asking for even half of it back was unreasonable after ruining one of the most special days in my life as well as my wifes.

He was not able to remix music on the spot. It was so humiliating for guests to watch the DJ step aside while a GUEST took over the opportunity for FREE. I recently was in a wedding that they were to provide DJ and photobooth services, this was the worst experience I have ever seen. The DJ didn’t have any of the “first songs”, couldn’t keep the music playing, and only played what he wanted. Thankfully a friend who had DJ experience from college stepped up and took over for him and got the event back on track. Only after she started getting things back in line did people begin dancing. I know that my friends spent a lot of time and energy planning this wedding and the last thing they needed was this worry about a DJ company that can’t perform as expected. Be a great company I’m sure for the local middle school semi formal.

Threw my parents a 25th year wedding anniversary and decided to go with James Daniel Entertainment. Let me tell you - I am glad I did. The DJ got in contact with me very quickly, and throughout the whole process of picking out songs was very accommodating. The Photobooth and av was also above par. When the big day came, we were all stressed out because we didnt want it to be a flunk. Well guess what? The company set up hours in advance, told me everything would go great and it did! The pictures from the photobooth were crystal clear, you also get a text with your booth picture! The amber lighting was absolutely amazing, as well as the custom anniversary gobos. I could not have been happier, thank you so much James Daniel!

Just had my company x-mas party last Friday . It was a casino themed party and Neal and his dealers were very professional, it seamed like we were in Las Vegas. we would definitely use James daniel again .

They were hired for a wedding I attended and their services were so poorly executed that it ended up noticeably detracting from the reception. Heres a list of things they did wrong:1) The DJ showed up without the list of songs for the first dances, and let the couple know just minutes before they were scheduled.2) It became apparent that the DJ was pretty inexperienced, which resulted in awkward silences and confusion and required one of the wedding guests to take over for him. He did not adhere to the list of requested music genres he was asked to play, and did not follow the planned itinerary of the evening.3) The couple also had a photo booth set up for the night, and they were assured the staff person on duty would be attentive and welcoming. Instead, he sat in the corner and did not talk to anyone. Many of the guests didnt even know there was a photo booth there.4) The pictures from the photo booth were supposed to be put together in a guest book, which didnt happen.5) The company is now refusing to even partially refund the couple and are also withholding the pictures from the photo booth.

We had a large family wedding at the Candlewood Inn and the lack of professionalism and awareness from James Daniel was awe-inspiring.The volume was consistently too loud to have conversation over dinner (I get doing that during dance times, but not DURING dinner). The crowd was split pretty evenly between generations (30s and 55+) and both generations were LITERALLY fighting over who got the ear plugs that a few people came prepared with. When I approached the DJ to ask him to turn it down during dinner, he was watching football on his Ipad behind the DJ stand. Just a complete lack of awareness of reading the crowd.There was a period of time when the dance floor was full and people were having a good time, however many of us escaped to the mosquito infested outdoors to have any semblance of conversation (we did conclude that the volume was correct for normal listening / dancing was approximately 20 ft out from the closed off venue).Maybe the coordinators of the event knew what they were signing up for, but as attendees, while the wedding was fantastic overall, we were not impressed with James Daniel Entertainment.

Please do NOT hire James Daniel Entertainment for any of their services. They are the most unprofessional, disrespectful company I have ever worked with in my life.To start with the DJ for our wedding FORGOT OUR MUSIC which resulted in long awkward silences, messing up our first dance song, completely ignoring how everything was scheduled and playing little to none of the songs we had spent hours picking. The only reason the night was salvageable was when a friend and wedding guest took over the music for the DJ.When we called the company to explain the horrendous evening their company was responsible for we got push back, were called ‘looney and ‘unreasonable and the owner defended his DJ and called what had happened a ‘bummer’. Well that ‘bummer’ was something that ruined our wedding. DJs bring people together and make a happy time even happier. they should not be responsible for wedding guests telling you they cannot believe how well you are staying composed and how they would be hiding in the bathroom crying if this was their wedding.Finally, we had a photo booth. there were a number of problems with this but the biggest was they failed to provide a photo book, which had been confirmed multiple times. This photo book they did not provide was supposed to be our guest book. so due to this we do not have a guestbook for our wedding. They were also supposed to dropbox the photos to us so we could share them on social media. Due to us not liking the service and writing a bad review they are refusing to send us our photos until we take the original review down.As the bride of a wedding that I can never redo I am heartbroken over what happened at my wedding but I am devastated with the disrespect and unprofessionalism I received from this company. Please save yourself the pain I am in and do not work with this company.

James Daniel Entertainment is the worst. I was a groomsman in a wedding this past weekend where one of my best friends just married the love of his life and this company sent speakers that were too small for the venue so no one could hear the music or the speeches in the back of the room. They also did not have the pre-selected song list or the songs for the first dance, father-daughter dance, or mother-son dance. The delays were incredibly awkward as the bride and groom were trying to tell him which songs were correct as he was trying to find then online. No one was dancing at all until the groom ejected the James Daniel Entertainment DJ and brought in another DJ who saved the remainder of the evening. Then, when they asked for a partial refund the owner was extremely rude and refused to do so. I wouldn’t use these guys unless you want a crappy wedding where all of your planning is thrown away and no one dances or can hear the speeches. If I could give them 0 stars I completely would.

Unfortunately, I dont have the best reviews for James Daniel Entertainment. From start to finish their lack of preparation held the wedding, I attended, back from being a great time. The host was off, the music was eh, and the photobooth looked like it was homemade. In all fairness, at least they didnt mess our names up in the introduction.Nobody wants their first dance to be awkward. For two minutes the DJ was trying to find the song and it felt like an eternity. Weve all been in that situation but, with the expectations we had, it shouldnt have happened. Somebody broke the silence with YouTube. Really...? No bride and groom should be motivating guests to enjoy the reception. Thats not their job. To boot, the music sounded like a playlist from 2006.To put the icing on the cake, no pun intended, the photobooth looked like a rushed job. I dont even think anyone knew it was there until closer to the end of the night. It was blanketed with these white sheets and the wires were all over the floor. Very unprofessional.Just to close this out, I wouldnt recommend this company for a superbowl party. The cost far outweighs the return on investment. I hope this was able to help whoevers reading this. Youre saving your money.

Where to begin... First the DJ messed up the first dance song. When the bride and groom were at position they looked over at the DJ and he just kind of gave them a confused look... turns out he didnt have the song list with him and decided to wait until the first dance to let the bride know that. For the rest of the night he played random songs and a few that were on the brides DO NOT PLAY list. No one wants to do the electric slide at the wedding anymore. But thanks to the DJ we were all forced to bring it back now yall. The only reason the music wasnt a total disaster is because one of our friends took over for the DJ and literally held his had through out the rest of the evening instructing him on what songs to play. Understandably, the bride and groom has asked for their money back but the company has refused.

Unprofessional. Didn’t have mother and son or father and daughter dances ready, which caused the bride and groom a lot of stress. I would look elsewhere for a wedding dj.

Would NOT recommend. They ruined my sister’s wedding by messing up the music for the first dances. All the guests were confused and felt awkward. Additionally, they were very unprofessional and offensive with how they handled the issues. The boss was virtually impossible to get ahold of.

Cant believe how terrible this DJ was. He managed to turn a special event into a nightmare.

My wife and I hired James Daniel Entertainment to provide DJ and Lighting Services for our wedding reception on June 27 at the Darien Community Association. They were extremely helpful and easy to work with for the entire process. The light crew set everything up a day in advance and returned at the end of the night to collect everything with no damage to the venue. We had 107 guests at our reception and Jimmy did a great job getting them all up and dancing after dinner. The online program for uploading our requests prior to the event was very easy and Jimmy even was even able to play an obscure track off of someones phone through his system the night of the party.

Don’t be cheap. Spend the money and get a real dj, or just due without one.
