Went for some fish tacos for lunch. These are, without a doubt, the best fish tacos Ive had anywhere. Monday-Thursday, $1.00 each. No limit. Rice and beans on request. You can watch the xhef make them and their freshnest is unquestionable. Ive sent many friends and recieved many thanks.

Food was better in the past, but not any more... Waitresses are rude and you have to ask for every little thing you need... Might try this place in the future if they change ownership/cooks.

Ousters where bad. Not fresh no sauce tasted like a salt lick. Shrimp was overcooked. Lots of good Mexican food in SD. Find another spot.

Excellent service, friendly staff. Great fish tacos, large pieces of fish with a nice light crispy breading. Intriguing decor. We were there for a family lunch. I felt it would be fun at night.

The fish tacos were delicious the vegetables were fresh. The waitress was pleasant.

I was hoping that this would be a new go-to neighborhood spot, but I was mistaken. Sure, the food was decent: a solid 7/10 at best, (though I specifically asked for $1 fish tacos, and they turned into another order of $2-3 tacos), but the Margarita I had that was made by the older woman cashier was less than satisfactory. I actually had to ask if there was any tequila in it, because it tasted like a mix over ice. When I let her know, she didnt care and offered nothing, assuring me that she added a shot. Little did she know that I worked as a bartender for years, and I know the difference between a legitimate drink and when someone is cutting corners/lying. Definitely not going back

Went for the first time and I was excited to try and was quickly disappointed when the waitress was rude and acted annoyed we were even there. Then the food was probably the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. Everything tasted sour and now I’m hoping I don’t get sick. I had 4 bites of my food before throwing it away. The place was really clean so I’m shocked the food was so horrible and service, too.

Sat at the dive bar in the back...99c tacos were great for a buck BUT The bartender tried to over charge me for the tacos. Also has to ask for change back when I gave her 15 bucks. The bill was 10 something...cute waitresses, could use some English lessons as well. Would only go back if I had a party or dollar tacos. Would have been 4 stars if charged right and got change back. Also if the bartender spoke some English, that would have been nice too.

Just left there, we ordered our food and we’re enjoying when my husband found a ROACH and we spit out our food.I called the lady serving us and showed her. She said it was from the tortillas and that her restaurant was clean.When we got there the place was empty just us. We thought we’d give it a chance and boy was that a huge mistake. Next call is to the health department. I hope I don’t get sick, I have surgery next week

Ive only been here once and it was for a Quince. Im not sure the price but you can rent this place out for events. Im told that this place is great on weekends. They offer fun drag queen shows. While we were here for Quince several general public left upset because it was closed to them

The food is good but the service is not good at all. It took 30-40 minutes for the food to be served.

Food was disgusting and over priced. Food did not have flavor. Ordered spicy shrimp there was not a hint of spice they even called it ranchero. Tortillas were so hard as if they were old the shrimp had a weird taste... overall horrible experience and way too over priced for the quality of food.

So so. Service. was fair. The margarita was really weak. The quesadilla was OK. I had to double check because the menu said with guacamole and sour cream. So I then got a small plate (too small). I havent tried any seafood dishes which is their specialty. Loud Mexican music for those who enjoy that.

Website said they closed at 2am, My family and I arrived at midnight and rude waitress locked the door rudely! I called on various occasions and the women answered the phone and hung up continuously! Never will family/ friends return! Horrible place!!!

Delicous Food!

Decent place but nothing great about it. I need to try different food because the shrimp in sauce was good I just didnt care for sauce. I am just not into karaoke or the cross dresser for entertainment.

I clearly ordered a california burrito, and they give me different kind of burrito looks like corned beef with some jalapeños etc. I should have open the food before i leave the place to check it. Not good at all.

Got the seafood fajitas and it was a mess of not shelled seafood. Who wants to dig through sauced items to pull out shrimp with heads in tact, clams, and mussels in the shell and full of sand. It took forever to eat and it wasnt even good tasting. The only redemptive quality was my boyfriends chipotle shrimp was delicious. Not worth a return trip though, mine was horrible. I would much rather get Mexican elsewhere. If you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and go to Bankhead Mississippi Style Cooking across the street. They are top notch.

Ordered a shrimp....carne asada and a fish taco.. Not too impressed....the fish taco was the better taco though.. Waitress needs a smile on her face seemed like she didnt want to be there.. Probly cause it was 5:30 p.m. Over all I rate this a 2 star spot..

Camarones de la diabla was the most spicy that I have found. Chips were so-so.

Have the best fries and really good mexican food and they have amazing service they are so nice but not all speak well english but they are moderatly good and are just sweethearts

No where near expectations horrible cockrails food was bland. Took forever for my food and the limes are extremely dry. Dont recommend unless you like half decent food and have lots of cash.

Mexican food?? The lunch trucks has better food ! The food takes for ever! Bad food honestly. I dont recommend this place. Better food in Chula Vista El camaron , La cacho , kikis lunch truck DE mariscos 100% good food!

The food is terrible the service is worse one waitress doesnt know what the other waitresses doing they both think theyre getting stuff when neither one of them are not really the kind of place you want to go to not if you want to eat food anyways
