My son was in a play here. This is not the ideal venue for watching a play. They have about 10 round tables with 5-6 chairs around each table. A very strange set up for watching a play. If you are at the stage side of the table, you have to turn your chair facing away from the table in order to face the stage. The room looks more like a gymnasium than a playhouse. The acoustics were adequate but not ideal. During intermission they offered cans of pop and plates with 3 small pastries at $1 each. All in all a relatively enjoyable evening for a community theatre setting.

Wonderful little community theatre in Skokie put on a nice production of Hello Dolly . The theatre was packed. Lots of parking, very affordable price, glad I got tickets online yesterday.

Devonshire always puts on exciting performances for the community with a dedicated staff and volunteer group. It is a great place to see professional community theater done well in a mix of genres and styles.
