Love this so close to my home. My little one loves walking to the park. The electric is on so you can use the outlets if you need them, theres Pokemon stops and gyms. The pumpkin festival is always fun.
Nice quiet little piece of serenity. Can watch as all the commute hurry to and fro on RT. 8
Quiet park with play areas, basketball courts and a scenic overview of the mountains and river near route 8
I love the statues in the park. We go here for Pokemon with the grandkids.
Really great place to come and eat lunch. There are plenty of benches and a couple of tables. Also a great place to bring your kids to play in a park. Theres a big field around the baseball field, tennis court, and a playground. Great views on top of the hill.
Nice park but police will harass you if there after sunset
Its a nice park
Nice, little park. There are some really cool abandoned shacks in the area if youre into that sort of thing.
A very quaint event called the Seymour Pumpkin Festival is held there every September. Tough to find good parking but worth going!
Nice and clean park
Beautiful place
They have so much to do the slides the bars the tennis court it is so fun!!
One if my favorite parks in Seymour - I bring my 22 month old here quite often during the warmer weather. It has everything that a typical park has... Playgrounds [1 for older children, 1 for the youngsters like mine], baseball field, large open flat grass area, trails & although the public restrooms are boarded up, the park does have portapotties.Extras that make this park truly one of a kind....French Park isnt just a park... as you can read in the name - its also is a memorial for veterans. From the moment you come through the main entrance, making your way up the parks lengthy driveway, monuments & statues along with stone structures instantly capture your attention. Continuing up the driveway is where yall will find where the true beauty lies. To the left, you have the most breathtaking views directly over route 8, seeing all of downtown Seymour & the valley as far as one could see. To the right is the perfect overlook of thee whole park. The driveway continues down the whole length of the park and sits at the highest point, along with one of the playgrounds, swings sets, and an upper parking lot. The terrain & landscape (and the view - all around 360) are the most unique aspects and why i personally recommend this park.Between the upper level and lower level- is a huge hill that begins with concrete bleachers built into the hillside... which creates a path for you to get from the upper level parking lot to the bottom where the fields are. To the left of the bleachers, the hill goes from super steep to less of an incline & widening. Trees break up the hill, allowing and providing sections for the perfect coverage and shade for spectators who want to get out of the sun since the hills provide the perfect view of the entire flat fields below. Park also has a full size tennis court and an actual dugout, along with the youngsters playground which could all be found on the lower level. This park is a MUST SEE next time you want a change of scenery
Very nice place to go and see football games during the fall. There’s parking and a playground with basketball courts too. There are many historical things to see too. Such as old cannons
Great place, nice looking park.. its great to have something in honor of our veterans..
Nice memorial area with ballfield and walking areas.
Great monument to honor our vets put here in 2015! Great views of the hill tops and the highway.
Nice well kept park...dog friendly
Well maintained quiet and relaxing.
After regular spring season ends, there are only porta potties, snack bar is not open and their is handicapped parking but field itself is not flat nor wheelchair accessible. Beautiful fall foliage view. Google maps will tell you to make at right after Webster bank; this is a one way so you will have to reroute to enter park.
It was okay good for kids
Great park in the Seymour / CT Valley area.
Very beautiful view of the valley, huge well-maintained baseball field. Parking was a little tricky.
Beautiful. Patriotic. Quiet. Clean.
I love going there. Really nice view.
Quiet park, nice views, playground for children, portapotty...
Nice clean family and pet friendly park
Nice place to relax and let kids play
Hemi (our dog) loves going here and running around
Nice sized park perfect for event it was hosting( Annual Seymour Pumpkin Festival)
Wish there was a better play ground and wish they didnt cut down all the trees years ago. Was actually a beautiful place at one point
Has a little bit of history and contains a few fair type activities as well as fields and play areas.
A wonderful community gathering place
Great place just not used much smh waste of money for communities that need a park
Great views and the colors blowing in the wind is cool
Very nice park and views
The sunset when youre sitting by the flag pole overlooking the highway.
Stopped by for po go it a ex gym and always fun to stop at
People DO NOT CURB DOGS AND ITS CLOSE TO PLAY AREA IN LOWER AREA BY TENNIS COURT. Hiwever, it is nicer up on hill.
Memorial Day Parade ended there and Congregational Church served hot dogs and cold water....Nice area to reflect
Safe park but, dirty.
