Although I dont live in the northwest, every time Im in Seattle I try catch a show here. On this visit we saw Poncho Sanchez. Showed up 10 minutes before the doors opened without reservations or tickets. Staff is totally helpful and happy to greet us in. Fun selection of drinks and the desserts were just right. My previous experience with their food has always been positive. Awesome venue to watch any Entertainer in a very intimate environment. As a musician and sound engineer, the audible experience is Heavenly Bliss to my ears. The sound and acoustics are perfectly balanced to deliver an exquisite Studio sound over the live performance. Its the closest thing to being in a studio with a tableside dinner and a small crowd surrounding. Really is a great experience. Highly recommend.
Great experience with great food and music! Arturo Sandoval was on the card and he and his band did not disappoint. Live, interactive and engaging. The service was also excellent! Our table of six got an upgrade due to a cancellation and the host was very gracious in offering a better vantage point. Would definitely recommend and revisit next time we are in town.
1) The acoustics are incredible. You can hear yourself talk without yelling, using your inside voice. And the sound system brings the performer to your table. 2) Not a bad seat in the house. 3) Delectable food prepared and served by professionals. First time here and well be back.
This is a very intimate venue to see a concert. I dont know if there is a bad seat ...it seems like you can see the performers well from all the seats. We also had a very nice dinner prior to the concert. The parking garage is just around the corner from the venue. It was free parking with validation.
Despite the size of the venue, the feeling is intimate. Sound management is extraordinary and sightlines are excellent. We also had dinner and its excellent. Delicious lasagna and calamari appetizer. Prices are high, but it is in a city. Service was great! The photo is from The Blind Boys of Alabama set before the show. Three of the originals are still singing, but theyve added a guitar/vocalist, drums, and a bass-guitarist/vocalist who is a fabulous counter-tenor. It was a great show, a great venue.
We saw Regina Bell. The performance was amazing. The shrimp and grits were wonderful. We usually get cornbread with it but the waitress didn’t ask if we wanted. She also didn’t come back for our dessert order after I told her I would be getting dessert. Worst server we’ve ever had there. But an awesome night out despite her service.
This was my first time at Dimitrious Jazz Alley to see Philip Bailey perform. When we arrived there was a long line to enter, I thought for sure it was going to take a long time. There were two ladies checking people in and giving them their ticket for their table which made things go smoothly. As soon as they open the doors the line moved quickly. There were staff members to lead you to your table. Soon after that there was a waitress to take your order. The waitress was very attentive throughout the whole night which was great. Philip Bailey was terrific he had a great performance along with his wife and the band. I would definitely go back to this venue it was just very professional and seamless from start to finish.
Music and the environment were premium. Good for date. But the food was not as good as expected.
Wonderful show! Had the pleasure of seeing Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, service is even better than expected and the food is outstanding. Drink selection encompasses all tastes and vegetarian/vegan options are easy.
Was privileged to see The Blind Boys of Alabama in dinner show. They were absolutely awesome! Had dinner before show. Best food Ive had in a long time. Highly recommend!
Loved it. Great food, great music, great service!
If your favorite band.is playing, or just a group you cant wait to see, Jazz Alley is the place to be! Intimate venue with great food and drinks. Make a reservation and have a memorable date night!
Great venue, but they need to have more staff at large events. Staff is scrambling to get orders and they skip over simple items like beverages and refilling them in a timely manner. 10 to 15 mins sitting is idle. Gave me time to decide not order anything else.
I love Jazz Alley! The food was really good. Tonight I had the barbecued short ribs. They were lean, tender, and flavorful. The greens were well seasoned and tender with just the right amount of crunch. We had great seats but then most of the seats have a great veiw and all are comfortable. I highly recommend them they are the quintessential jazz supper club.
We visit here every couple months, they have the best shows. Sound is great, the food is fabulous and the atmosphere is relaxed and dressy casual. Shows can sell out super fast so its best to sign up for their advance notifications, the Alley Cats. Jazz Alley is one of our favorite places for dinner and music and its a fabulous place for a date night!
My wife and I have gone to Dimitrous twice now and both times were wonderful experiences. Five stars for the terrific environment and selection of jazz musicians. We most recently went to their Christmas jazz concert with Bobby Caldwell performing, and it was spectacular to see him perform live and up close. The food served here is average at best and overpriced. Weve dined here for a full meal once and just had dessert the second time. Both times we regretted ordering anything. Its clearly a venue focused on the music, so if youre interested in good food, Id advise you to go out to eat and then catch the shows at 9:30.
First time here and we had a great time. Food was excellent and service was great. Our seat was to the side of the stage. We could really see the band but I suspect a seat in front would have been even better.
The only premier jazz clubs/lounges in the Seattle area. Always packed with a huge line up of Grammy award winning artists. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. The food menu is incredible. Its a great date night location. Once you go, youll be going back more often.
The music was fantastic and the staff was wonderful as usual. The food and drink is just a little overpriced. Its fantastic. I had a great time.
Go for drinks, food looked two to three stars. Drinks are overpriced also but worth it for the show. Saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, awesome intimate venue. Might be worth calling to understand your seating as we sat at an awkward sideways angle.
I love the up close and personal seating and Entertainment is five Star. five-star. But the service this time was exceptionally slow and unacceptable, especially considering the prices there charging for dinner. Employ more and better qualified waitress and waiters. I was not happy. The service can make or break an establishment.... at least for me.
We had a great night at the jazz alley! The whole program including dinner is a little pricey. We went just for drinks, music and some dessert another night - in that case the tables are not too close to the stage though. Definitely check it out!
Really enjoyed dinner and a show (Anna Popovich). Great food. Great music. Great service. They have bar service and also BYOB for each they are happy to pop the cork.
This place is amazing! The food is good!! the Aviance is just out of this world! Im a young female mid 20s never experienced much live music or a venue like this so it blew my mind
Acoustically great jazz club. Delicious dinner menu and cocktails. Definitely come for dinner before the show, you get the best seats! Dont love the stairs to get down into the club level, but the ambiance is very nice for a posh music club.
Great music, great good, great service, validation parking. Not a bad seat in the place. Intimate venue.
This place is one of a kind. Impressed on all levels from service, to food, to sound quality, to the concert its self. Definitely will be returning. A true gem of Seattle.
Fabulous ambience, reasonable ticket prices, terrific lineups. Food and drinks a bit pricey, but delicious.
Best place for food & booking jazz legends. Looking fwd to going back after covid19!
Best date night in town. The jazz artists are always stellar. Dinner service is top notch.
Great artists and intimate venue. Recommend to have dinner at another restaurant, but meals are fine here too.
Take one-of-a-kind performers, throw in delectable food and beverages, efficient servers and staff, along with the warmth of a softly-lit intimate venue where every seat is great and you have Dimitrious Jazz Alley in Seattle. I just celebrated my 4th visit there Sept. 29th for Sergio Mendes and it was sublime! Canadians simply dont get to see acts like this at home. Back next April for Tower of Powers 50th anniversary and cannot wait. Praise all around!
The food was to die for an Chris Botti was absolutely Amazing
We made a reservation for a Show and Dinner. The Performance turn out great but not the food and the drinks.$14 screwdriver with unpleasant after tasteBut still we love Jazz. Next time will eat Dinner somewhere else and we’ll come back just for the show.
Amazing staff and an overall lovely venue!
We absolutely loved it!! The ambiance was very nice. The show was excellent and the food delicious. I highly recommend it.
Great place. Wonderful atmosphere and fabulous music. I cant wait to go back !!!
Small venue, big acts, good food, great sound and great admission prices.I have been going to Jazz Alley for over 25 years and there is nothing better...anywhere! Absolutely love it. Thank you JA.
Absolutely phenomenal place to hear great music. Oh yeah it has good food and drinks. Really its all about THE MUSIC. What more could you as for.
Awesome venue in downtown Seattle! The acts are all world class, the place has a really chill vibe, and the food is really good. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially with all my allergies. Everything went smoothly and the food was delicious. One thing to keep in mind is the food will cost you more than the tickets, it’s really pricey, but worth it for the kind of service you get. (And honestly, pretty much everywhere in Seattle is pricey).Overall, 9/10 would definitely come here again. 100% would recommend
Love Jazz and Heavy Metal, but I dont fit in either crowd real well. A bit too high end in the Jazz crowd (especially for what I make), and the Heavy Metal crowd (well I dont smoke anything and cant stand tattoos either).
Took our son to his first concert at Jazz Alley to see Boney James! AMAZING concert, cozy atmosphere, and great food!! Highly recommend!
As a group of 6, we saw Victor Wooten on March 21st with a nearly stagefront table. I try to visit jazz clubs in every city that I visit.Dimitriou’s is a beautiful venue. The ambience, service, food, and wine list are amazing. In terms of food, the use of genuine parmesan reggiano is particularly appreciated. If you’re looking to order the prime rib, arrive early! The seafood options are also fantastic. The experience, however, was frustrating to enjoy due to the two stagefront guests constantly recording video for both Instagram and Snapchat. No action was taken to enforce the venue’s rules despite bringing this to the attention of our waiter.I’d love to return, hopefully without the presence of those constantly recording short clips.
Been there twice. Loved it Great artists cozy venue. Im jealous Seattle
Awesome good and service, great venue to catch some jazz, will definitely go again!
This is such a great place for great food and music. I have been there a few times and I highly recommend you do the dinner and show not just the show. If you dont do dinner you dont get the good seats. If you can ask for Raelyn as your waitress she was amazing
Seen war here recently LOVED IT! try the key lime pie mmmmm! so good!
Always a great time. Friendly wait staff.
Great intimate venue and food. Amazing entertainment.
Great atmosphere, clean, well kept facility, excellent food, good service, free parking...even the sound system was top tier. Honestly everything was great except for the fact that they play jazz, which shouldnt even be called music. Hence the three stars.
Amazing venue for live jazz. I can see why its so timeless.
We have been visiting Jazz Alley for years and they continue to bypass expectations. The venue itself is grand yet intimate. The musical offerings range from big name stars to new artists that this organization promotes so well. The menu is great, drinks are generous and service is impeccable and accommodating. You often will meet friendly folks sitting at the table near you. This is a great night out!
Absolutely awesome. Love the show. Ill be back for Tower of power
Its Jazz Alley in Seattle, the best jazz venue in Seattle. Get there early to get a seat in the 2nd level above the stage. Good food too.
Really enjoyed dinner and a show (Anna Popovich). Great food. Great music. Great service.
We absolutely love Jazz Alley. Recently saw Freddie Jackson. Shrimp & grits were bomb
Fantastic venue for intimate concerts and great dining.
Great show last night and had a treat of local artist standing in for a couple tunes. Thats why this place has been here so long. Both my wife & I felt the food has improved and enjoyed our meal. Chicken Picata can be made gluten free Id you request
Jazz Alley is an amazing place! We have discovered it 3 years ago when we visited Seattle for the first time as a family (my wife, 3 kids, and I). And since then, we are loyal customers who come here a few times a year. We would want to come more often, but we leave in Vancouver, BC, so its a 3-hour ride. Its a very cozy place with great sound. If you are early enough ordering the tickets, you can have an excellent table right in front of the stage. Their manager, Bernie, is a very friendly and accommodating guy. Every time we come here, he treats us as VIP customers. The ticket prices are affordable. I would even say that for the top artists like those that come to perform here (and I mean they are really the top of the top in their genre), the prices are low (in a good sense). But the food prices are terribly high. If there is one thing I would want to suggest is lowering the food prices. However, those who come here for live music, the food is secondary, so the overall experience of seeing and listening live to your favorite musicians, and being able to take pictures with and talk to them after the show, is invaluable. Looking forward to our next show, Tower of Power in April.
Jazz Alley has first class acts. The food is a little pricey but really tasty and this helps support a good show. The waitstaff overall is very professional and know when they make themselves present. Id like to see more explanation on the menu about dairy and gluten-free options. And Id raise this to a five-star if they would replace the padding in the chairs, their rock hard. Sitting for an hour and a half on the chairs is not pleasant.
Intimate venue with big name artists. Best in Seattle for live music. Delicious food offerings and large wine menu. Comfortable seating.
Love this place. Always has great service and wonderful artists performing.
Always a pleasure coming here. Atmosphere, varying artist, and located in beautiful Seattle so nice. If you have a date, if you, celebrating a anniversary, if YOU are a jazz music lover this IS the place to go. Thank you Jazz Alley
Very elegant and upscale in the Vain of the Frank Sinatra
You want to experience something different. This is definitely the place.Mindi Abair is AMAZING..
Great place for live music and dinner. David Sanborn.
The Staff was amazingThe music was great. Management ( Bernie) very very approachable
I love the intimacy of this place, you can see the sweat pop right off the performers...
So the place is a hidden gem. The seating works well for this venue. Surprised by the food. It was very good. Prime Rib was spot on. The shrimp appetizer was also very good. The place is reasonably priced for cocktails and food.
The music was amazing and the ambience is very intimate. The food was very good. Highly recommended.
A fantastic jazz venue to see a variety of jazz shows. Efficient seating and service as well.
Incredible intimate venue, a true gem to see talented acts coming through Seattle.
Always a great time at Jazz Alley. Im not sure theres a bad seat. If there is, Ive never found it. Great variety of musicians and decent food. The dinners arent excellent but theyre decent and the music is always superb. I wouldnt mind if they changed up the menu more often but maybe it just means Im there too much. ;)
Very good seating. Good service and a nice menu.
Great food, great music! Whats not to like? One of my favorite places.
Fantastic music,(Peter White)Very good food, and service. Intimate setting, definitely will go again
Had a Fantastic time Saw Sugaray Rayford and its always an Awesome Evening!
We love everything about this place. Great people, music, great food.
Jazz Alley is one of the most prestigious Jazz Clubs in the country if not World. Jazz GREATS come to play here. Years ago, I saw Ahmad Jamal, and recently, I sat up close and personal to hear KEIKO MATSUI, she was beyond OUTSTANDING, a STELLAR performance filled with electric energy and rich stories. I am a big fan of her and Jazz Alley. You will find the CUISINE as well to be quite worthy of applause. Its more than a Jazz Venue, Its a beautiful experience in great music, sound acoustics, and hospitality. See for yourself, Jazz Alley is THEE PLACE FOR JAZZ.
Great venue, not too big, not too small, with good to excellent lines of sight throughout. Always great music, many different genres. Really good food and good drinks. Seen two shows there so far and plan to go back many more times. Oh, and free parking!!
This is, in my opinion, the best jazz venue in Seattle. You feel like a special guest since the moment you arrive... no need to print a ticket, parking included and being able to select your table. Additionally this is one of the only jazz places where it is not mandatory to purchase dinner (it is delicious, but it is nice to able to simply have a glass of wine if you are on a budget and want to enjoy live jazz). The ambiance and the quality of the artists is remarkable.
Wonderful vibe, music, service, and food. Great for a date night!
Im a man who loves to impress his wife. 3/09/2019 was not the truth. Michelle whom my wife loves ( I am also a big fan) did not perform as advertised. Not her but some dude. Not saying he was bad just not what I paid for. This was not billed correctly. I spent a hell of a lot more money than ticket price for my wife to see one of her favorite artist. Hotel, parking, dinner. Once in a lifetime event for her. Billed wrong. With the right information I could have come out better. The venue is to die for, loved it. Is Victor Wooten going to perform. Might like to see who I paid to see.
Amazing music, food, and entertainment. Definitely worth the pretty penny it costs getting in and ordering food. If you have the expendable income i highly recommend it.
