This place is such a great place to hold an event. This studio is so eclectic and lovely. I’ve gone to three events there and all of them were radically different, and all managed to worked seamlessly in the space. Definitely worth a check out if you’re looking for any type of venue for an event.

I haven taken a pastel class and intro to ceramics class. I was surprised that the teachers are legit professionals (my pastel professor graduated from the art institute). Anyways, the classes are really relaxed and enjoyable. The teachers are so friendly and helpful.Negatives: Parking is terrible during the middle of the day. The ceramics class has a poor student to teacher ratio. I feel like I would get more out of the ceramics class if it were smaller.

Sewing class! This was one of the best hundred dollars Ive ever spent. Their classes are great, their studio space is great, and their teachers are great. The building that houses Urban Light Studios is so amazing, its three floors of really great art.I cant wait to take more classes.

Various rooms on the top floor are fun to walk through - but the real show is the art walk in the bottom floor. Huge rotation of artists and some that have permanent setups. Also, the the themes for the galleries are great (past have included Twin Peaks, Sci-Fi, Christmas/Holidays)

Wow. This is a phenomenal venue. Absolutely a photographers paradise. There are plenty of settings, and it also has lots of light. The prices are appropriate, not to mention they include additional lighting equipment.

We had my neices wedding here! Perfect for a small wedding. Really really hard to find in the dark, and the pay lot behind here only lets you pay with your phone.

Kimberly was an excellent host, and exceeded all of our expectations. She was very responsive and flexible. One big opportunity for improvement for ULS: we did not like that we were required to hire from a short list of preferred vendors for catering and bartending to avoid expensive fees. Most of the preferred vendors were unresponsive or refused to work with us given the number of guests ULS allowed us to have. Very cool atmosphere enjoyed by bride, groom, and guests. We liked that we didnt have to do much decorating.

I know Urban Light Studios mostly from an art perspective and I must say that they rock from the Mad Magazine Show (Curated by Ryan Henry Ward and I) to the Owl Show curated by local artist Ryan Henry Ward, to the Between Heaven and Hellboy Show--curated by Zachary Sofia --this is the place to see the best of the alternative, subpop and urban Seattle art scene. Love this place.
