My son and I did a private class with McKenzie, it was well beyond our expectations. I have welding experience, but its 30 years ago. My son wanted to learn. McKenzie was fantastic and patient with both of us. We went over the new multi-function machines, practiced different methods, played with the dials to see what happens when youre wire speed is too slow or fast, voltage too low or too high, and how manual settings differ from auto on some machines. All in all, I got my groove back and my son is now begging for a new house toy. Thanks McKenzie!

This place is Amazing. Must check it out if you wanna get into welding / expand your skills and knowledge, make metal art or just learn and witness the magic of alloy fusion as a team building activity. Rusty & McKenzie are phenomenal! A rare glace into a REAL functioning welding shop.

Took the day long intensive training at the Hazard Factory with McKenzie and four other students. I learned a lot! McKenzie made it interesting, fun and I went away with more confidence and knowledge about MiG than I expected. Each of us had a welder in our hands all day long and switched at times so you could feel difference in various machines, settings.McKenzie read one of my beads and showed me where I was holding my breath! Then later how important nozzle angle can be. Along with a thousand other bits of knowledge she shared. The provided equipment was better than I expected and the auto darkening helmet was a game changer! If you’re interested at all in welding I highly recommend taking one of McKenzie’s classes at the Hazard Factory!! You won’t regret it.

Recently, I had a 1:1 MIG welding session with Mckenzie and it was fantastic. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. Mckenzie even helped me decide which machine I should buy to get started on my home project. Im really looking forward to going back for a TIG session! Also, there is a great taco place nearby!

Great workshop with excellent classes for newbies to experienced folks. Well organized and great teachers! We made these metal flowers in a 3 hour class: intro to MIG welding + metal working at their “Date Night” event.

Currently taking my third program with this team. I appreciate the hands-on practical learning. The introductory to MIG was a great evening class and I hope to bring my kids soon. The other classes & programs are structured to quickly get you welding and learning how to spot problems and how to correct. Good advice and insight for those wanting to weld outside of classes. Very broad offering - regularly scheduled classes, requested classes & private instruction. Highly recommend.

We took the couples date night class last night for our 6 year wedding anniversary (iron). This was such a great and unique experience. Our instructor McKenzie was outstanding. She is serious, very informative, and also brings lots of humor with her sassy personality. We just loved it and got to make 2 beautiful long stemmed metal flowers. Looking forward to one of their boot camp classes next!

I did the evening class with McKenzie and Jody yesterday. I had never touched a welder before and wanted to try it. They were both really funny and made the class enjoyable. They demod the techniques and then watched closely and helped correct. You do multiple welds and between each I got some tips and you can see the improvement start to finish in a couple of hours. Cannot wait to visit again and try something else. Highly Recommended!

I had the pleasure of taking the MIG class with McKenzie. She was knowledgable and made the experience fun and informative. The course provided me exactly what I was looking for and helped chase away the uncertainty about using this process on my project. Rusty was on hand to offer some additional recommendations on equipment and set-up for my intended use. Overall I thought this this team was excellent at helping someone who has never welded to take the first steps in this exciting space. Well done!

Took an intro to welding class here 1/18/2019. Two hour class going over the basics of welding and the various pieces of equipment anyone just getting started would need to know about. Very educational and our instructor, Mckenzie Smith, was entertaining. The facilities are what you would expect for a welding studio (or at least what I would); Industrial and aimed at functionality. Though not warm and cozy, it was well kept and, as far as an industrial art studio can be, clean.Would definitely recommend future classes at the Hazard Factory.

Took a Make a Thing class here (also known as Hazard Factory) with my girlfriend. McKenzie was teaching, and she was great.McKenzie started the class by explaining some safety rules (hot things are hot, sharp things are sharp, bright things are bright, heavy things are heavy), she showed us a few of the basics, and then we pretty much jumped right in.We picked out our kit ahead of time (we made a pterodactyl), so we got our pieces and set to work. McKenzie wandered about, sometimes interjecting when it looked like you needed help (whether you knew it or not), or if you had questions. This class is NOT for you if you are looking for in-depth information about welding theory or if you want to gain a deep competence in the skill (although they DO have different classes for that). This class IS for you if you want to try something new, learn a little bit, and end up with a piece of home-made art you can drop a bowling ball on.

My work went here for a group event and it was so much fun! The instructors told us what we needed to do quickly and efficiently, and from there we quickly got to work welding on our own for hours. We had some structure along the way to make sure we were getting the basics, but then also had the freedom to build whatever we wanted to build. At the end, we had a really fun bridge building competition - a perfect way to end the day.

I just had a four hour individual session with primarily Rusty and McKenzie for a bit as well, at the Hazard Factory. Rusty is well spoken, knowledgeable and down to business. McKenzie was all that as well. You couldnt be surrounded by better people if you would like to learn the art of welding. And welding is an art.The Hazard Factory is the perfect place to take a class or throw down for an individual session with one or two Masters in the art. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

This Both my son and I took the Mig class and had a follow-up private lesson here. I absolutely love the instructors, equipment, environment, etc. Weve both learned a ton and while my son is definitely the better of the two, after todays private session, my welds are looking tons better. We will be purchasing a welder, will be coming back for additional private instructions and will be on the lookout for new course offerings. Thanks, Rusty and McKenzie for all of your help. Keep up the good work!
