Babeland is truly a gem on the hill. Beyond its incredible selection, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, happy to provide appropriate suggestions, and always goes above and beyond in ensuring everyone feels welcome and safe. Their classes have always been top notch as well. Compared to similar shops, I cant recommend Babeland enough to people.

I really enjoy this store and go out of my way to go there. However, at this time I am offering a four, and not five star review, as I would have in the past, because the culture has changed. When I first started going, this place was like community. I have fond memories of even striking up a conversation with other customers who I never saw again. It offered a public forum to openly talk about a wide range of intimate topics, not just sexual.However, since the sale (yes, in the last two years the company was sold to a larger adult store conglomerate and is no longer locally owned), the climate and become corporate. I wouldnt say its cold. Yes, you can still talk openly, and it doesnt feel uncomfortable, but the sense of celebration about it is gone. Its just stuff.Its still a great store, possibly a five star when compared to others, but not compared to their former selves.And while Im here, I find it obnoxious how the ratings have been skewed by people who read bad PR, and left nasty reviews, despite having never even stepped in the store or had an experience with the company.

Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. There is a shelf with demo units of most of the vibrators so you can actually handle them and see how they run.

Workers were helpful, products were good quality; the only downside was that parking was typical for downtown (scarce).ETA: I visited the store in summer of 2017, just after moving here. Ive also shopped with the company online. I havent had any issues with products or customer service in any of my interactions with Babeland.

I love this store! Im originally from New York (and the different locations there are pretty different from one another), so after moving to Seattle I wasnt sure what to expect from this location...but I love it! Its nice and clean, bright, and the staff are so, so helpful. Always a pleasant experience!

Im sick of the upsell, I went in to get a gift for a friend and instead of answering questions about what I was looking for they just tried to upsell me, or guilt me into buying a more expensive product. Sure, its more budgetary The last time I went in their I knew what I wanted and they tried to convince me that the corded product was inferior to the cordless, but I didnt want the corded product. I am very disappointed that they cant be more professional, otherwise, great products and location.

This was my first time in the store. Ive always heard good things over the years but I was finally kid free for the night so me and hubby stopped in. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were able to help me figure out exactly what I was looking for and even had a few options. They had a great selection of toys and accessories too. I highly recommend stopping by.

Super helpful staff and very knowledgeable. The most diverse in-store selection of gender expression products I have come across. Felt very comfortable and safe in the store and being a trans guy that was a HUGE deal to me. The two employees were so easy to talk to and I never once felt awkward in our interactions. Found what I was looking for and something extra too. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE BABELAND STAFF!!!!

So you terminate poc for taking a stand on racism in a work environment. Without investigating or listening (human resources) to their side of the situation. This took place in front of a client. Its companies like this that deserve a going out of business sale sign on the doors.

Sex toy shops often get it wrong. They market to people who are more interested in unrealistic expectations and titillation. Babeland on the other hand knows that sex is a great way to show love and to have fun. From handcrafted toys to upscale ones, this store is at once inviting and premium. Definitely a great store!

I was expecting a lot more from this place, and was sorely disappointed. The store is a tiny little shop on the street, and you can see the entire store from the front door. Not that theres much to see. I was greeted with cheesy novelties at the entrance, and a very tiny selection of toys in the back. Not much to choose from, and what little there was wasnt that great. If youre not picky and want to feel like youre not in a sex shop, this is the place. Otherwise, go somewhere else.
