Noodle was the greatest instructor. She analyzed each of our throws and told us what we needed to change to make a better score. She was also extremely personable and a treat to be around.

This was our first time trying this hamburger with our work family. Very fun and competitive environment which made for great fun! London was the perfect coach even through the multiple broken axes we did.Patrons note: this is a beer and wine only establishment. Besides, you don’t want to mix hard liquor with throwing axes any way.Food: food is not on site and is brought in by other local restaurants. Advice, order as soon as you arrive because it may take upwards of 45-1hr to receive. For this alone, I would give the batl 4 stars, but food delivery is out of their hand once the order is placed.

My groomsman and I just went to Batl Axe Scottsdale for my bachelor party and it was the highlight of the trip. They took us day of, we incredibly friendly and made the whole experience (which was a first for most of us) a ton of fun. Cheryl was our coach, and she was amazing. My buddies and I could not stop talking about how much fun we had and how we would absolutely do it again. Thank you Cheryl and Straun. You guys brought my trip to a whole new level!

So fun. We reserved for our group of 6. We had two lanes just for us, and an instructor. Becky taught us how to throw the ax. She was a great teacher - me as a student...maybe not so talented. But, I had some good throws (and some terrible throws that kept me wanting more.) After giving us each a tutorial and some practice throws, she set up a tournament where we all played each other, and ended up with a winner - who hasnt stopped bragging about it. :) I highly recommend going here. I cant wait to go back.

I went here for a team outing. We had so much fun. Our coach London was wonderful! It was my first time axe throwing, so I was nervous. He made me feel confident (even though I’m terrible) and he was hilarious and made the entire experience. We had a great time. I can’t wait to go back.

BATL Scottsdale hosted our company holiday party this past week! The employees who helped us throughout the night, Gray, and Typo were super fun, hospitable, and eager to give encouragement. The bar tender was amazing as well! I wish I got his name.We can’t wait to return!!

We had a group event tonight at this venue and it was amazing. Our host and instructor Cheryl did a fantastic job explaining everything and making sure food and drinks kept flowing! The venue is very clean and well organized. I highly recommend BATL to anyone considering their hand at throwing axes! We will definitely be back with more of our friends! Excellent experience and great fun.Definitely go during walk-in times if you can, but overall it was great. We walked in and threw with Becky and she was excellent. Gave us a lot of suggestions for throwing well and constant tips and tricks for how to improve. She kept it fun and light and made sure we were always having a good time.Also, they have an excellent selection of beers and ciders, which was highly appreciated by a picky group.

I work seven days a week. Went on a Tuesday for a date night with my girl. Don’t go. They had several lanes open and refused our business due to lack of “ coaches” go to Tempe ! Worth the drive - we will NOT be coming back we will take our money and league sign up elsewhere- HARD PASS HARd BOO

Just got finished here for my sister’s birthday. It was a blast. Noodle was a great teacher. Her name is deceiving. She is every strong and throws and axe with the best of ‘em.

Went here with my team for a team building activity. Never knew throwing axes could be so much fun. It is certainly better to being a few friends than coming alone but the community seems friendly enough to take you in if you wanted to try something new on your own.

Fun activity for all! Great for team building and large groups of friends! Not too expensive and the staff is awesome! They show you correct technique and manage you the whole time to make sure everything is safe and fun for everyone!

Pricey but a lot of fun. Went to celebrate my friends bachelor party and can say we all had a blast. Kaleb was an excellent instructor and managed to turn one of our friends from someone who couldnt even hit the wood with the flat of the axe to someone ending a match with multiple bullseyes. Wish the price was a little lower (Id visit more often) but a few of us have eyed up the league option as it makes each visit a LOT more affordable.

It was a blast learning how to throw an ax and even more fun when it actually hit the center (or even just the board at first).BATL The Axe Throwing League is open to everyone, even though the name might make it seem like its for leagues. Its a large upbeat indoor facility with nice pool tables and a bar with TVs & a great selection of beer, coolers & wine.The coaches/trainers are absolutely incredible. They reminded me of golf pros, because they tell you how to adjust every tiny movement, and they do it in such a fun and caring way! I went from not being able to even hit the axe target boards to hitting a bullseye!As one of the coaches affirmed, it is a total body workout, & it was so fun that Im getting some friends together to go back for a birthday party. Theres a bar & grill next door (R.T. Sullivans) that caters a lot of events for them, so its making this a breeze to plan.Helpful notes: You are required to wear close toed shoes, to sign a waiver, and Im not sure if there are age requirement.

Found this place randomly and I have to say it is the best experience I’ve had in Phoenix. Joining a league is a great way to meet new people and a great atmosphere can’t recommend trying out axe throwing more
