Had a blast! This place is amazing. If you are older I would probably go in the evening because of the traffic jam of young ones with the walkers but I definitely recommend!

Before COVID great place. 18 degree restaurant is worth a visit while there.

I cant say enough good things about this place. Excellent customer service, great resturant, great coaching, and everything runs smoothly and organized there. A very well oiled machine. I would highly recommend for both the hockey programs and free skating.

Best sheet of ice in Phoenix. Ice tends to be very wet and takes a full period of a game to dry. Not sure if ice coil arent cold enough or they dump on too much water. Locker rooms arent the most luxurious, but are the bare minimum of what youd expect.

Had so much fun skating here today on open skate time!! Very clean, nice rink. Ice was smooth & hard just the way I like it!! Enjoying my hot tub now though! May have overdone it a bit my first time on ice in years!! Thanks Ice Den for a wonderful skate!!

Wow...Mountainside continues to impress me. The staff at all the clubs are first rate. I am a Chase Field member but in the Dale for a WMPO contract for the month. 2 guys stand right out. The opening young man Anderson polite, on top of it, pretty funny. Sean the GM is exactly what you want in a top guy. Respected by his crew as well as the clients. Well done on these hires. Oh the club is great also lol....clean as always!!!

Overall this is the best-maintained and best-run rink in the city. With its three ice sheets, the most of any rink in Arizona, it is home to the AAA Jr Coyotes and figure skating. It also servers as the AZ Coyotes practice rink.

My family came here on the Friday after Thanksgiving way over crowded they need to put I cap on how many people they allow to skate. It was so busy they didnt have 3 of my kids sizes they had to wear a different size. At some point they need to just tell people we can not take anymore in at this time. I would rather be turned away then put my family though that. They need to some adults out there helping the teenage kids my wife got bumped because there where to many people on the ice and they gave her hockey skates because they didnt have her size in the regular ones. The teenage kids that helped her just gave her a ice pack and left her there. Finally I was able to find her and help out. I am beyond disappointed with this place. I will never recommend anyone to ever go here. My family and I call the place the HELL DEN not the ice den.

Clean and good food and good ice

Totally awesome until on my last time around I fell three different times lol. Once knocked the wind out of me, once I saw stars, and the last and final time I tweeked my ankle. Im just good enough to be dangerous apparently

Came with two children for a work social (open skating) on a Saturday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I was impressed with the quantity of ice skating walker devices that are great for the children who are still learning (there are actually two varieties).We even enjoyed seeing the Zamboni machine after it was all over.My two girls loved it and want me to take them back!

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the ice rink itself was super nice. It was my first time, and i had a ton of fun.

Scott Gruber who runs the developmental hockey program is a jerk and had the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. He was very rude to my wife as well. Everyone else there is great. The ice is nice and the entire facility is clean including the locker rooms. If it wasnt for that one jerk the place would be perfect. Oh and the parking stinks.

Pretty expensive for a family of five during free skate time. But not busy at all. Will try a cheaper $5 Friday night time next but will have to deal with it being packed Im sure. The facilities are great and seem brand new.

Great for public skate! Its wonderful to see your children improve each time. A beginner can start with a walker to feel comfortable on the ice and in the skates. After a few visits they can skate on their own!

My mom works here. Shes an amazing worker and so are all the other employees and cooks. I have skated there and loved it. I grew up here for as long as my mom has worked here which has been for 9 years!

My rink is ice den Chandler...but even I have to admit that ice den Scottsdale is beautiful. 3 rinks, all of them with great ice. Not too cold inside either. A great restaurant and friendly staff inside. Again, it pains me to say this since Chandler is my rink...but it is a beautiful rink.

Went open skating. Had an Ice Den prepaid card that did not work the last time (hadnt used it in like five years). The staff took down my info last time to look into the matter. This time, I had a $50 credit! Thank you Ice Den! Great place for summer fun, and to beat the heat!

What a nice break for the whole family. Its five stars even though the food at the rink is barely average. The rink itself is a great time for everyone. Also they are always trying to make the on site restaurants better so that helps. Go and beat the heat at the rink.

We went for the first time right before Christmas. It isnt our location but by the reviews choose it. Wow! I havent received customer service like this in a long time. Everybody was super friendly, made our experience so comfortable. The place was clean and prices are reasonable. We are going back Today!

Coming from Albuquerque, where we have only three rinks, this place is a wonderland. We didnt get a chance to interact with the staff. There werent many places to sit and watch the back practice rinks, and all the seats were metal, so bring something to sit on!

5 bucks, for 4 skaters including rental. (Veterans price) Really? 2 hrs rink time. Ill be spending my hot Scottsdale summers at this arena. Ill be looking good in my t-shirt and shorts while others broil. Ah, forgot. Good food and awesome equipment selection. Kid friendly and courteous staff. Even if you dont skate, youll really enjoy watching your grandkids having the best time ever.

Me and my daughter go every Thursday and Friday night have a great time Skating to music. 18 degrees the restaurant has pretty Snappy food. Great burgers, I mean really good burgers.

Rec hockey is not as fun as the other rinks because there is way too much slashing, high sticking and hooking that is allowed. It is really not a safe place to play. This comment is based on many games and different officials. Parking lot is a nightmare with slots that are too small and not enough of them. The lot is also poorly lit.

Options for open skate are slim around the valley. They do a decent job of smoothing the surface, plus their rentals are better than most. And not to mention super cheap to open skate.

The skates dont have a lot of ankle support that they rent out. Plus they charged me 20 dollars on my card after I gave them 11 dollars in cash. So they robbed me.

This is the standard to which all other ice rinks across the country are judged. The ice, its quality, the dressing rooms, the food services, an its quality. The cleanliness of the bathrooms, An the overall appearance of the facility. I believe that in the past 6 yrs of doing these rating I may have only found a couple of facilities nation wide that are its equal and again only a couple that may exceed the Ice Den Only detractor; would be parking, when large events are going on.. An thats an expected consequence of having a facility that this nice!

Always fun. Most public skate events are packed from the start time to about halfway in the first hour. The line is right in front of the door so its a Lil awkward and upsetting when u show up. But they move kinda fast. Skates are good but the hockey skates need more pads or need to be updated. Only other flaw is the price for drinks and food. Its expected like a fair or carnival, but the line is just as long and its a Lil ridiculous.

I have played on all the ice surfaces in the metro area. Ice Den Scottsdale is the best kept ice of all of them, save the Coyotes home ice. The facility had three sheets of ice and has good spectator seating for two of them. The entire facility is well run and quality. I have not played league games here, so i cant comment on the league management, but local house and Puckheads games are excellent.

When we went it was pretty busy, but otherwise a great spot.

Too many people allowed on the ice at a time and they played only rap music. The line to pay was very disorganized.

The womens bathroom is gross and half the doors dont lock, they close down the snack bar hours before the place closes. If we werent there for the hockey tournament I would go to any other place. They definitely need to fix some things.

This place is like a case study in why monopolies dont work. Their nearest competition is in Chandler and it shows. They treat customers as disposable and frankly, they can, since the Coyotes practice there and if your kid wants to play hockey or figure skate, theyre the only place to do it in the NE valley.That said, their operations manager, is an insolent know it all with little experience who runs the open skate and other activities very poorly. After my son and a friend (both beginning skaters using the equivalent of walkers to skate) were run into by more experienced skaters, he kicked the two boys out and banned them from coming back for a couple of days saying that they were disrespectful. HUH??? Its a bit like rear ending a student driver and then arresting the student driver. When asked politely about it, his attitude (which is a mile wide) was basically kiss my a** if you dont like it.Like I said, theyre the only game in town, so if you dont like it, tough luck, but be careful if your kids arent perfect skaters as these guys are definitely NOT looking out for them.

Love it.. What a blast very clean and big facility. Always busy and hopping. The full ice is maintained with a very high standard. We love the restaurant and all of the things for siblings and parents to do during practice times. The kids love the open ice times.

Went to watch a high school hockey game. They have 3 rinks, 2 of which are really nice but the team I watched was in the very back that has little to no seating and referees officiated like they could care less about what any of the players were doing.

We had the pleasure of working with both Kristina Kelm and Krystina with a y via the phone and in person. They held skates for us while traveling to their shop to get fitted for recreational skates. Kristina is quite knowledgeable and was adamant on helping both my husband and daughter get in a pair of skates that were properly fitted and comfortable. There was no sales pitch to buy a certain brand or model. After finding the skates for my husband and daughter, Kristina even checked the fit on my sons and my skates to ensure our comfort in new skates that were purchased from another shop in Las Vegas while on vacation.The customer service we received was amazing!! It was above and beyond what we expected. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!
