I wanted to give a shout out to Micheals Arts & Crafts located in The Promenade North Scottsdale.I was on a mission to learn how to make a breaded necklace for an upcoming birthday gift for a friend.Store manager Nicole was so super patient walking me through the equipment I need for my project and step by step the how to dos. She said you are welcome to call if I have futher questions while working on the project. She gave me confidence and excitement to get started. How great is that right getting support on a project who would not want that to keep you going!The on-going sales and always online coupons gives you an extra delight when your get to the register with more smiley staff members.

Today I took my fathers military items to the Promenade store. I was assisted by Steve in the frame department. Using his expertise, experience and suggestions the finished product will proudly be displayed. I have waited to have this done and I am so glad Steve was helping. Steve immediately recognized the value and honor of my Dads military hat, purple heart and small Bible carried with him in Korea in 1951. I couldnt be more pleased. As you can see this picture showing the items I left with complete confidence in Steves hands. Ill be posting the finished product in a few days.

No complaints. I bring my service dog in here when I shop and the staff all love her. Ive never had any issues at this location and they keep it clean and the inventory is always full. No surprises here.

If you have any bone of creativity and even if you dont this is always the best place to acquire inspiration. Not just that, I was actually surprised to see that there was sale items up to 70% discount... I personally dont go here much because Id spend all my money here. But this time I was able to get 5 canvases for ~$10.00 which is crazy... Imo. So definitely an awesome place to even just walk around.

A huge selection of arts and crafts supplies, however they were a bit understaffed and had huge lines. Other than that, they were perfect.

I dropped in to pick up a couple of things today. It felt good to be in this store. All the employees were helpful. They had good sales and the coupons helped a lot! And, other than one item, they had just what I needed.

This is the best arts and crafts for the rizz. Even a guy like me can find materials to make some really cool pictures come to life! Helpful team members the day I was in. These early closing early hours (not just Michaels) is stifling the economy. The working customers cant make it in to these businesses after work to SPEND money!

First time in this Michaels. I was able to find more than I was looking for, even though I was there for Christmas decor items late in the holiday season. I wasnt able to look at the regular items, but the store seemed well stocked. The staff seemed very friendly, but I really only interacted with the cashier. I still havent been into the new Michaels closer to my home, but I will!

This place has everything you need to decorate your home, garden, office or anything you want. They sometimes have fun activity sessions for kids like painting & craft .They have huge range of art & craft stuff .people those who dont have any hobby should get one once they visit this place & thats what turned true for me . Once my doctor told me that hobbies keep you stress free ... so keep visiting place like this .The staff here is really friendly. You always get some discount coupons here so grab one before you visit .

IF YOU ARE GOING TO MICHAELS, Manager AMANDA was great from my first phone call..She also has a great sense of humor.. Ive been to other Michaels locations, but nothing just avg service at Best...Well, Amanda took me DIRECTLY -WALKED ME, to framing dept. I was introduced to STEVE, who was equally awesome. It was near closing, but he didnt make me feel rushed in the least. Very unselfish, very good framing at Any Michaels anyhow. Just extra service.. He had picture of what finished frame and mat would like on computer.. I was taking a picture- there was a piece of divider in front of it, and he politely told me he could move it if it would help me. It actually DID← and this is for someone I help care for in a nursing home... You get the idea. Great consult advice by STEVE AND AMANDA, who had come back to check on me...Oh, it was 1 minute till closing when he offered to move shield..So I was in a diff Michaels earlier, they started rushing me at 10 min to close and made it a point to tell me. Also, in conclusion, I had 2 interactions w SIERRA cashier up front. Both A+.. I also witnessed her w other customers. Care and courtesy. VEDT MICHAELS! THANKS!! SEE YOU WHEN I PICK UP FRAME. I Went into this michael’s today to buy some colored pencils and some paper. The brand of colored pencils I was buying were kind of pricey but I bought them because they’re really high quality. At the checkout a very nice lady with brown hair and glasses checked me out and unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she was so kind to me and gave me a discount on my colored pencils. Thank you for the great service. :)

Michaels is a great go to place for my projects. I pretty much use the one on Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, because of its proximity to many other of my favorite stores. I like the discounts and variety of their inventory of supplies. l always use a coupon from their website before I check out. Returns are easy if a purchase doesnt work out. Just keep the receipt. Because of all the discounts, it makes their job a lot easier.

So much stuff to see in this store. Every time I come back theres always something new I find or new they have. I have spent 2 hours here before walking all the aisles. Friendly staff and very helpful. Will return to this place

We were able to preorder canvases which were ready to pick up when we arrived. We were able to purchase paint and Valentine supplies at half price.

Its interestingin their jewelry finding section that they have certain things in silvertone but not in gold tone and vice versa. So stocking is very inconsistent

I always love going in here. I just get inspired when I walk around here , which sounds cheesy and lame, but its the truth. I sometimes go in with an idea and manage to amplify it until its better than anything i originally imagined. Other times Im clueless, walking in without an idea of anything at all, and something good comes to me while Im there. I love that I can buy pieces to fix broken jewelry and I can buy good quality coloring utensils to create amazing drawings, and even picture frames which when I get there at the right time , have great sale prices which Im willing to wait and hunt for because frames can be costly. I can make a $3 I print I find online look like a quality picture Im hanging up when I find the right frame at a good price. This store just makes me happy and it seems like the people who work here enjoy the crafting experience because theyre always helpful and informative and seem to enjoy working here.

The store has a lot of great items to choose from. However, the process to make a purchase or return is incredibly inefficient. Other stores have figured out how to process these transactions quickly, perhaps Michaels should take some notes. The staff is super slow. And they miss obvious, easy customer friendly opportunities. For example, after waiting in line for well over 15 minutes, the employee said “how’s your day?”, but missed saying “sorry about the wait” or “thanks for waiting.”

They have a unique and eclectic selection of boutique kitchen spices and foods, which made shopping easy. Store was very clean and staff were helpful when looking for spices.

The store is clean and well stocked. Employees are helpful. You can find actual craft and hobby supplies, not just cute decorations. I did not give 5 stars because I still cannot find supplies for my craft- caning.

Easy to find everything, staff is friendly so if you cant they are nice and helpful. Only complaint I had was an item I wanted was on the very top shelf I couldnt reach and it took a while to find an employee walking around which really isnt much of a complaint.

Do not buy online and pick up in store. Takes forever. The cashier was not friendly.

I really like this Michaels. The store is mostly clean, and most items have prices. The cashier is so nice. The staff is professional too. Theres another Michaels near here at Tatum and Cactus and that one isnt as good.

So many tricks with sales and restrictions on coupons. Nice decorations for holidays, but pricing is a headache

I placed an online order on Saturday and found out that it was in store pickup only, which was no big deal I chose the closest one which is the Michaels at the Promenade. That same day I got an email that my order was ready and that I can come in to pick it up. I went in the next day (Sunday) and was told by an associate that they do not have a separate customer service counter and that if I wanted to pick up my order I would have to wait in the checkout line with everyone else. I waited in line for 30 minutes and then was told they werent sure where my order was and they would need a few minutes. After 25 minutes of standing at the checkout counter I was told my order was actually in the back not unpacked yet and that it would actually be ready the next day if I could come back then. I was slightly irritated that I had sat in the store for an hour for them to tell me absolutely nothing.The next day (Monday now) I did not want to sit at the store again in case it was not ready so I decided to call to see if it was now actually ready. I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes, they then got back on and took my name for the order and put me back on hold to go look for it. Another 15 minutes later she came back to tell me that they actually do not even have the order in the back of the store to be unpacked and that it was coming from another store. Why did they send me an email if it was not actually ready? Why did they tell me it just needed to be unpacked if they knew it was not in stock and needed to be shipped from another store? I do not know. This is such a poor way to run a business and I do not recommend picking up an order from here. If I was them I would make sure if you tell a customer that an order is ready that it is actually up front ready to be picked up if they were to walk in that second. I have now wasted a bunch of my time in store and on the phone and STILL do not have my order.

I went here to get some flowers for my Kentucky Derby hat. Little did I know that the sweet gal in the floral arrangement department could create the hat for me! She made the cutest design and my hat was a hit at Turf Paradise!

If I could give zero points I would. I was flowed in this store then stopped and spoken to, by a manager, in a very very rude tone. Not only was this woman extremely rude she also accused me stealing. When I set my purse down next to her and took off my jacket asking her to search that stuff to see that I had stolen nothing, she just continued to accuse me. Saying things like are you okay? Because your boyfriend keeps walking in and out of the store. First of all, he is just a male friend and I have no control over what he does. He was angry because I was taking my time. Then the Mgr said well you are pacing back and forth nervously.... I said I just dont like standing in the same spot but I was not pacing... At all. I was simply comparing brands of things right next to each other. Long story short.... I spend a TON of money here all the time and on this trip I actually ended up emptying most of my cart so what would have been a 300 sale ended in me nearly crying at the register out of embarrassment and I ly spending about 60 dollars. I have never ever ever been that embarrassed in my life and when I told the other manager about it at the register I got a sorry and a feeling that this woman believed her other worker so I said Ill be outside smoking a cigarette..... U guys should review the tapes and come get me when u are done.... Either to apologize or bring me in for the cops. But they did nothing. Nothing at all. Thanks a lot.

Awesome Place had just what I needed

One of my favorite and regular go-to Michaels locations. We come here several times a month. Our recent online order in store pickup was professionally and carefully packed. A super helpful lady got a ladder to grab some top shelf items for us and cheerfully offered more assistance should we need it. Apparently not all locations care about your glass items making it home in one piece, but this one does!Update:Had to knock off one star for the awful service we received today. We tried their pick up service again for the second time (at this location) and the email we received told us to head to the framing department at the back of the store.We arrived at the back of the store and were standing by the counter when an elderly couple cut in front of us to pick up their framing order. No big deal, Im sure it wont take long. The employee quickly finds their product and they proceed to spend about fifteen minutes discussing whether they like their frames and talking about the pictures inside them. When they finally left, we stepped up and handed over the email on our phone for online order, in store pickup.The employee spent another 5-10 minutes searching for our pick up order before realizing we were not picking up a frame. Even though the email directed us to the back of the store, we had to wait about 20 minutes before being told that pick ups at this location are now at the front of the store.What should have been an in and out 5 minute trip ended up taking nearly half an hour by the end, and it was deeply annoying to have our time wasted by poor communication on the part of the company and the store, and this generic email that tells everyone to go to the framing department even if an individual store does not follow this. Although the framing employee was apologetic about our wasted time, I still left with a bad taste in my mouth.I still love Michaels, but I hope they get their act together in the buy online pick up in store department. It sounds like a good idea, but I think Ill avoid this service until theyve figured it out a little more.

I typically love Michaels. This was my first time in this location and it wasnt pleasant. I went in to get a quote for framing two of my paintings. The woman in the framing department was very opinionated about what color frame I should get. She suggested a bright red or blue. Which yes that would match the paintings but nothing else in my house. I wanted more of a cherry wood to go with my furnishings. When I stated that she said I might as well just frame the wall. Not a very pleasant lady. She did not cater to my wants or needs. It was terrible customer service. I have never had an experience at Michaels like this before. I will not use this Michaels to get my paintings frames.
