Worst bar ever. They took my out of state ID (Texas) and said it was fake. I had to call the police to come and help deal with them. The police arrived at the bar and chewed out the bouncer. The bouncer never apologized to me. I hope this bar gets shut down eventually.

Pretty good place in San Jose to show your dance moves.Drinks are reasonably priced, you get good value for your money. We were asked for our ID when entering the club.Music was good, however I would prefer a bit more variety.

If you come here early at night you can get a table and get dinner with drinks, but if you arrive late at night prepare to dance! There’s some kind of an improvised dance floor with enough space for you to show your moves, what I didn’t like was the music, it was always the same and so we got easily bored.

Great customer service, but I bought a shrimp burrito for $14 and it had two pieces of shrimp. Not worth the price, at all! If I wanted a veggie burrito I would have bought one!

The recent stabbing of the security Frank Navarro reminds me that Tres Gringos Cabo Cantina needs to train his security better because I think they are racist. 4 months ago my friend and I stopped by but the bouncer wanted me to pull my driver license out my wallet. I am over 62-year-old. I told the bouncer to forget about and left. On my way out, a man, who I believe was Frank Navarro, told us to go to Lido, a Latino bar around the corner. We are Latinos and the security suggestion was racist. I know of two friends, Latino, that were denied entry because the bouncer was not familiar with ID or passport from another country. Although you have the right to serve to whoever you want, Tres Gringos dont have the right to insult people with racist comment. I gave this place 1 start because you cannot post it without selecting a star, but I never enter this place and I would never enter, like I say before they are racist. Saw other negative comments about this place. The SJPD and the District Attorneys office should look at the conduct of the Tres Gringos.

Acceptable for airport food. Rice was a bit hard. Steak was fine. Not as bad as I imagined!

I came here with a few friends the other night, and will not be returning. The security staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. My friend had gone into the restroom, where he was followed by a security staff who proceeded to stare at my friend through the stall door. Unfortunately the lock on the door wasnt working, so my friend was trying to hold it closed while being watched from outside the stall. Apparently this led the security guard to think my friend was trying to do drugs in the stall, and he was kicked out! Being confused, my friend insisted he didnt have drugs on him, and even offered for the guard to check him, to which the guard refused. The security guard ended up physically shoving my friend out of the door and locking him out. When we tried to talk to the guards at the front door, they refused to talk to us, and instead avoided eye contact and ignored us, shaking their heads. It is already completely inappropriate to watch somebody in the stall to begin with, but then to accuse them of doing drugs (even after they were offered to search), and then to refuse to talk to us like human beings is even more offensive! We were causing no trouble and had absolutely no drugs on us, so the whole thing was just absurd. There are far better places to go in DTSJ, so theres no reason to waste time or money at a place that will treat you like garbage.

If I have to use one word to describe this place, average would be the first word that comes to mind. They have two different areas to get a drink and the bar is tended greatly. Hardly had to wait at all. A great bar to stop at while bar hopping downtown. Will stop by again in the future.

Not the best experience. Its more like a bar than a restaurant... tvs blaring, loud and echo-y inside. I was looking for a decent margarita, and suppose I got one, but it cost more than Ive EVER paid for a margarita.... $14!!! Decent, but no where near the top of the rita list.Salsa was decent. Didnt stay for food (salsa was good), cause the atmosphere sucked for dining. The waitress apparently forgot to place my drink order, so others that ordered at the same time got their drinks way before I did. She also insisted on taking my credit card before the drink order was placed, and it was a fight to get it returned. Not a recommended place for dining.

Grabbed Happy Hour / early dinner with a friend on a business trip. It wasnt busy, and staff was friendly.. so five stars. I know this place gets packed in the evenings though so be ready to bump into people and yell your conversations if youre there at night. haha!

12 bucks for one watered down drink. Bartender guy trying to look like macklemore was an ass on top of overcharging me. Dont recommend unless its to find health code, handicapped and fire violations to shut that place down. Shameful

Music kind of sucks, the dance floor is literally smaller than my bathroom, bartenders dont really give anyone the time of day and just talk to each other, theres no outdoor seating/standing, bottle service is $350 for one bottle and only two people which is outrageous. But hey, the place has alcohol so the sh*** parts can be overlooked.
