I highly suggest the KML School of Comedy classes. I took Sketch Writing I and II and I learned so much! I feel so much more confident in my abilities as a writer now. The lessons are applicable to things other than comedy writing as well. The teachers are wonderful and really know what theyre doing.

I was a student at Killing My Lobster before joining their sketch comedy acting and writing ensembles. Every show Ive worked on, whether Ive made the funny words or performed the funny words has been a delight, and every show Ive had the chance to see has been side-splittingly, laugh-out-loud funny. Theyre an adventurous group and I love working with them!

Killing My Lobster has been rocking live sketch comedy in San Francisco for 20 years. My body physically hurts from laughing for 60 minutes straight after I leave the theater. Ive also taken their sketch writing classes, which were incredibly fun and have made my professional writing much more interesting.

KML offers top-notch comedy writing classes geared towards sketch comedy. The classes are very hands-on, where you learn through practice and feedback from knowledgable sketchers (or whatever the appropriate sketch writer noun is).The shows are great as well. They always seem to be coming out with new productions. Theyre worth checking out, especially if you enjoy local San Francisco comedy.

This is hands down the most entertaining comedy group in the Bay. Affordable and female lead. They have a diversity program for the writing and acting classes and they help create a community of people who are funny and care about each other.

Killing My Lobster not only provides a consistent product in their shows and classes, but they are an organization that prioritize their artists and collaborators. As a Stage Manager who has worked with them on and off since 2011, I have witnessed the care they take in treating everyone on the team with so much respect and provide a space for peoples creativity to run wild. As a patron and a donor, this emphasis on the artist is also why I contribute.
