My granddaughter treats me to this hotel. We stayed here on weekends, and I can say that we had a good time here. I love the breakfast. The fresh bread, vegetable dishes, and juices. Our room is homelike cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Im giving this hotel a five-star review because they deserve it!

Spectacular! Beautifully updated, clean and safe. Our family stayed here for a wedding and it was wonderful. We had the Jr King suite which was very spacious and enough room for my husband and I and I our two older daughters. Views are amazing and you can even enjoy watching the activities from the expansive front porch, but you will want to go for a walk, jog or bike ride around the park.

There is so much to say about this location, but I fear that saying so will make this too popular a place to stay, and consequently any and all reservations would become scarce... but I can’t contain how much I adore this lodge! You have the Golden Gate Bridge in view outside your window, trails leading to it right in your backyard, and accommodations that will make you wish you never had to leave. Samantha at the front desk has made our experience something to look forward to on both of our recent stays. We will enjoy seeing her in all of our future reservations! Suffice it to say, you should book without hesitation. Everything you could ever want to do in San Francisco is right at your fingertips at Lodge at the Presidio!

A fantastic hotel - we enjoyed our fourth of July in San Francisco and the hotel location is perfect - you can walk everywhere. A big plus - your dog can stay with you for a small charge and to top it all off - they have everyday at 5:00 p.m. wine, cheese and fantastic fresh baked cookies!! Rooms are well furnished and staff is friendly and outgoing. Highly recommend you try the Lodge as soon as possible - before it sells out - which it will soon. Added some pictures including Bella enjoying the accommodations!!

The Lodge at the Presidio is another impeccable hotel managed by Waterford Hotels and Inns. The wine and cheese, and complimentary breakfast were delicious. The rooms and public spaces are tastfully appointed and although our picures dont show it, the fire pit and outside patio were lively at dusk. The location offers a great opportunity to explore a unique corner of San Francisco with great history, proximity to Crissy Field and the Marina, not to mention stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We live in the bay area and this truly felt like we had left the city and gone somewhere far away.Highly recommend this and the sister property, The Inn at the Presidio. Also, we ate dinner at the Presidio Social Club, another local gem.

This hotel is just stunning. Its in a beautiful location and away from the hustle and bustle. It was my first time in San Francisco so it was nice to be able to get away from the crowds. The hotel is decorated so nicely, the wine and cheese hour is welcome after a busy day of sightseeing. The room was cozy and we had a nice view. There is a ton to do within the Presidio if you dont mind walking around quite a bit. We will definitely return on our next trip back. The hotel would be one of the reasons to return, actually.

It is a fun hotel that serves yummy cupcakes daily. The staff were very accommodating and fun to be around! The rooms are great for those with allergies. They offer van service to drop you off or pick up in the downtown area as well as a car service to the airport. We did not need a car which was nice because parking is tight and expensive. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Low key and very comfortable in a beautiful setting. This was my first stay. My children live nearby making the location super convenient. Amenities are very nice—towels and beds are excellent quality and staff is very accommodating. However, be aware the hotel is not within walking distance of much else like shops and restaurants. Would I stay again, absolutely. My only suggestion is that they add ways to conveniently plug in devices on either side of the bed.

We will never stay at different hotel in San Francisco! This hotel is top notch. The staff is friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive. They are very natural and professional. The breakfast bar and wine and cheese are plentiful and it is a nice way to meet the other guests. The rooms are spacious and clean. The cleaning staff is on top of everything. We have never encountered a problem but I know if we did it would be resolved immediately.

This hotel is picture perfect. The staff are amazing and were incredibly accommodating for our large group for a family wedding. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and well kept. The breakfast was phenomenal and stocked throughout the morning. We spent hours sitting in the gathering areas of the lobby and it felt like home, with bowls of apples and bananas and infused water always available. Our daughter ran around and made friends with other guests and with the staff. They even moved us into a king bed room at the end of our stay since we were sharing our bed with our 3 year old! Great rooms, soft beds, quality linens and toiletries products. Just wonderful touches throughout. We won’t stay anywhere else in San Fran. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

We traveled to SF to explore and enjoy with our toddler son. We are staying in the standard queen with a pack-n-play for him to sleep in. It’s a tad tight with our luggage, however, all is great and the park is fantastic for him to be able to run and burn energy!

Sophisticated and modern hotel, with next level down to earth service. Bree checked me in after a tortuous flight in and offered a complimentary glass of wine to help ease my troubles - and I was amazed at how that dedication to guest experience was shown throughout my stay. Even the smallest detail, like fresh, locally sourced water was given without second thought in every room. Truly 10/10 reccomend and will stay again.

Just stayed at the Lodge at the Presidio this Friday night to Saturday morning. Not only is the location absolutely beautiful the the hotel inside and out is gorgeous. The cost of parking is extremely affordable. The hotel staff is top-notch. Tyler went above and beyond making us feel special on our anniversary. There was a bottle of champagne with a congratulations handwritten card in our room accompanied with white chocolate truffles. The room itself was comfortable clean and modern and to top it all off we had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The complimentary wine and cheese was delicious and the view of the Golden Gate cozied up by a fire pit made it taste even better. Tyler made sure I had a blanket after going back inside for seconds. The Continental breakfast was just what we needed to get our day started. I cant wait to take family members to stay at this hotel and experience the hospitality and comfort The Lodge at the Presidio has to offer.

Location is amazing. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay from the hotel. I saw the bridge from my room. The hotel is located inside what was a former US Army building. My room was smallish but it has very nice amenities and modern conveniences. I was initially tripped by the bathroom not lighting up when I turned on the power switch. Only after calling the front desk was I told to put in one of the room keys into a slot by the door in order to activate the lights. I guess it was a power saving measure. The continental breakfast is good: various muffins, breads, cheeses, deli meats, coffee, orange juice, grapefruit juice, water, and oatmeal. Wi-fi was good. The front of the building has a porch with several rocking chairs for your use. I used it to watch the picnic that was held on Sundays. Youll see what was the main parade ground when the Presidio was an Army base. Presidio Picnic is held on Sundays so you can join in on the food trucks and bars. Next door is the Disney museum. Theres a fire pit on the back side where you can sit and enjoy the fire. There are plenty of bike and hiking trails nearby. Parking isnt free. The parking lot that most hotel guests uses charge $10/weekday and $11/weekend. When checking in, ask about the parking and theyll give you a tag to hang from the rearview mirror. Parking will be added to your bill. Overall, I recommend this hotel. I wouldve given it 5 stars except when I initially checked in, the clerk told me my room wasnt ready and to expect a phone call from the hotel to let me know that its ready. Of course, that never happened.

Stayed for opening weekend! Hotel is beautiful and showcases a lot of interesting and pretty cool history. Location cannot be beat. First night walked to dinner at Arguello, second night had friends meet us at the Lodge for happy hour and then walked to Commissary for dinner. Both days started with a stroll/ run through the Presidio, one over GG Bridge - gorgeous morning - such an easy and fun location. Sunday was Off the Grid, so very lively on the main parade ground. We stayed in Room 310 which is huge and very comfortable - great bathroom, downtown views. Enjoyed the fire pit in the back and the stunning views of the bridge! Highly recommend!!

Best New Getaway Hotel in San FranciscoMy wife and I were fortunate to stay in this recently opened small historic hotel in the Presidio Park (a national park site) in San Francisco. The location is nothing short of spectacular, particularly if you are looking for great outdoor activities. Out the front door you have the Presidios Main Parade grounds, visitors center, historic Officers Club, Disney Museum and Transit Center (offering express bus service to downtown). Out the back door you are looking at the Golden Gate Bridge, which is just a short, scenic, walk away. The hotel itself is small, with highly personal touches. It is a clever renovation of an 1895 enlisted mens barracks but so completely modern inside, youd never know you were in an old building. We moved the fireplace in the breakfast room and the front hall sitting areas. Our room was large and spacious, with views of San Francisco bay and Marin County as well as views of the San Francisco skyline. The bed in our room was the most comfortable Ive ever experienced in a hotel and resulted in a wonderful nights sleep. The room included a stocked bar and mini-fridge, safe, free wi-fi, and all the other expected modern conveniences. The towels were soft and fluffy and plentiful. We ate dinner in the nearby Arguello, an early Californian/Mexican restaurant with a beautiful sheltered outdoor patio. We really enjoyed this restaurant although there are several others withing walking distance of the Lodge. The room charge includes a breakfast buffet, which includes all the usual good breakfast alternatives, including oatmeal, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, meats and cheeses. Everything was delicious.Of most note was the service. We were warmly greeted by Jose at the front desk, who helped get us settled and oriented. Throughout our stay, he and others were most friendly and helpful. The Lodge is pet friendly, and Jose really helped our miniature Labradoodle, Rosie, settle in.In short, this is a great option for your next stay in San Francisco. Highly recommended. Show less
