Pianofight is an amazing indie theater space smack dab in central SF. They have an excellent bar with food to match. There is a mix of live music and indie theater in their two black box theater spaces. Given the disappearance of local theater spots, this is a welcome spot. I deeply appreciate the booking of events ranging from drag queen karaoke to serious politics discussions.

PianoFight is all around an amazing community bar. Just the other night, they were hosting a presidential debate watch party, an improv show, and a nonprofit community graduation. Love it. The food from the kitchen is delicious; its perfect bar food. The staff are friendly and the owner is awesome and funny. Our organization truly enjoys working with him to plan events at PianoFight.

PF is an amazing place for food, drinks, and all kinds of entertainment. The ID checkers are always sweet, bartenders really attentive (especially Kai), and the food is great! Theres different kinds of entertainment for your viewing pleasure. From big sports events, drag shows, burlesque shows, open mic nights, theatre shows of all kind, and improv. Drinks can be a bit on the pricey side but thats SF, and theyre damn good drinks

Fun venue in a rough neighborhood. Great space with good acoustics and they had a variety of shows going on. They book creative fun stuff and we had a great time.Rides can be tricky due to the one way streets and slowness of traffic even though we tried to get someone to come right to the clubs door we had to walk a bit for our pickup, so be sure to travel in a group.

Sweet bar with an awesome theater inside of it, a little edgy drinks, but they arent too expensive so its nice. I work a lot in photography and video around the city and they didnt give me any hassle at all which is really really appreciated. The doorman is a wonderful guy, and the bartenders are wonderfully knowledgeable and intellectual people. Look for their awesome music events and performances.

This was a surprising find for a unique theatre experience in downtown SF.Don’t let the name fool you, it has nothing to do w pianos....It has a bar up front where u can have a drink in advance of ur show. Then the space itself opens in the back and holds maybe 70 people max. It’s on the edge of the tenderloin area so be aware of that.We had a great time w our show “two friends” or something like that. Really funny and surprising show! Would have paid a lot more to see it in Vegas.Would definitely return.

What an interesting place to stumble upon. This is not a piano bar. But, this is a unique place with three small stages/theaters. I walked in for food and drinks and was introduced to a unique storytelling event. Pleasantly surprised. The burger was great, I highly encourage folks to keep the onions on, wonderfully sweet balanced put with the spicy sauce on the side.

What a great joint this place is. The main room is a fun bar with plenty a tables. Has a nice stage with live music. However the cool part is that in the back are two more stages with various theater performances. They were sold out, but will be back in future. Nice little bar menu. Food and drinks reasonably priced. Note profit for food purchase goes to fund theater performances. Really great vibe.

PianoFight is a bar and theater at the heart of the independent comedy scene in San Francisco. The restaurant/bar area often features a variety of musicians and always features the friendliest staff in the city. The two theaters and cabaret stage have everything from standup, improv, and sketch to experimental performance art (thats often comedic as well). I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Two words MAGIC SHOW. Once a month they have a magic show in a theater in the back. They also have posters for a bunch of other performances that look interesting. Dont let the lack of curb appeal fool you, this place is big and fairly nice on the inside. Great unisex streamlined bathrooms mean no lines. The food is so good - way above my expectations and definitely worth a destination trip.

Show was amazing but the one bartender was murdering my patience! If you can try and go see the magic show David Gerard he has a few shows left till the end of the year.I know its tricky trying to staff a tenderloin location comedy club but when you see 20 people walk in on top of your normal business how about jump behind the bar and help out your bartender...now back to David. His magic show called choices was funny and amazing. His tricks stunned and awed us. There is much audience participation which made it all the more fun!Would have given this experience a 5 of 5 but when the bar tender took almost ten minutes to make one of two drinks ordered there is a problem here mary!
