That was one of the best culinary experiences I had in the US. Tons of creativity, techniques, amazing service and atmosphere. Every single bite was a bomb of taste in the mouth. The wood fired oysters were one if the best I had. The angielotti was superb with the gentle preserved lemon... perfect. The presentation, the plates, and the gallery made it all lot more than a dinner. We were there during Covid restrictions and had an outdoor sitting.Definatly a place to go back to.

Amazing delicious fusion food! Each dish was brimming with creativity and exploding with flavor. The black cod was a personal favorite. So delicious and creamy... I never knew fish could taste like ice cream. The duck confit in the rich mole sauce was also exquisite. The restaurant is very careful during covid, providing each person a personal disposable hand sanitizer and well-distanced outdoor seating. However some of the staff wore vented masks, which should be avoided.

We dined here the first weekend the terrace opened. Service, food and setting were stellar (especially during this weird time). Social distancing and cleanliness protocols are taken seriously. Food is presented beautifully. We had the duck confit tacos and the kombu cod with miso glaze, some bites and cocktails. All were delightful. The whole experience was a treat we hadnt realized we had missed.

How do you provide a completely unique dining experience in the culinary mecca of San Francisco? Palette has the answer, a visual and dining experience like no other in The City.

Great decor and ambiance. Youre close enough to the fire oven that you can feel a bit of the heat. I went for lunch and it was a fixed menu which was strange but turned out great. They had the option between halibut, chicken, and vegetarian. The sweet potatoes was seasoned well and was a delicious entree. The apple tart for dessert was a little lacking. They also have a decent selection of bottle and can beer.

Disclaimer: I didnt get any food in this establishment but live in the neighborhood. If they treat their customers the same way they treat their neighborhood I would be concerned going here.Palette has done renovation of their inside tables outside regularly during the weekends with constant noise (see attached video). It is even more inconvenient when the weather is 110F and you have to keep your windows opened. I personally attempted to contact the establishment (on yelp) and ask if they can do this work inside and/or reduce the time. Never got any response and they continue to do so.New to the neighborhood I was planning to try them once COVID-19 restrictions ease. But I will pass and rather keep going to zero zero (next door) that have been working on putting an outdoor space without disrupting the neighborhood on a regular basis.

My company threw an intimate 12 person dinner at Palette a few weeks back and it was amazing night! They planned a beautiful 4 course dinner for us with wine pairing and apps + champagne when we arrived. Everyone could not stop talking about how special the space was (private dinners are in the gallery) and how innovative and delicious the food was.The whole team from the GM, Karter to the servers provided exceptional service and took such great care of us! Definitely consider Palette for your next group gathering.Cant wait to go back and try the restaurant side!

We noticed this restaurant (or cafe? Bar? Art gallery?) was finally open, so we decided to check it out. The four of us ordered the artichoke fries, the tartare, the sausage, the halibut, and the chicken. Portions were much larger than expected, which was a nice surprise! The plates they used were super cute too!The fried artichoke was perfect, I almost prefer these to normal fries. The tartare, which was made from beets, was enjoyable as well. I liked the sausage, but the real star was the sauerkraut that it came with. Halibut was nice, maybe a cooked a tad longer than I prefer, but had a perfect sear. And lastly, the chicken - meat was very tender and fell off the bone. Total cost was about $50pp, pretty reasonable considering the quality and general SF pricing.Overall, there wasnt anything I didnt like, maybe except for the weird flashing lighting above the bar. Not sure if thats from construction or on purpose... Will be back to try drinks!

Invited by friends to this newly opened restaurant/art gallery/lifestyle concept venue. Came here for dinner, and the food was solid. There is only beer and wine, so plan accordingly. We came on a Monday night, so that was perhaps the reason for the low turnout. But the food is the star here... Loved the artichoke fries, kale pizza, and roasted chicken. Service is on point too.. prices are $$$, so its not going to be a cheap date.

Palette is amazing and a welcome addition to the Yerba Buena neighborhood! Peter is an amazing chef, artist, and curator of delightful experiences.Palette is fine dining at its finest, even in the cloud of Covid. The outdoor dining patio is truly the best in the city, with safe, metal boundaries protecting you from cars, (real!) plants surrounding the entire patio, and sexy gas flame patio heaters. The staff is super friendly, service is impeccable, and the food is fantastic. The menu changes often, but currently I especially recommend the confit duck tacos. But dont let the name trick you - this is a beautiful, plated dish with a large duck leg with vegetable mole, radish, and homemade tortillas on the side. We also loved the focaccia, crispy monterey squid, oysters on the half shell, and halibut. Everything is delicious.Just a note - we were surprised that the monterey squid was deep fried - we expected grilled. But it was still quite delicious. The inside ambience is also fantastic - cannot wait for indoor dining to reopen. And to the right, theres a nice art gallery. Every detail of Palette is perfect!

We loved this place! Beautiful restaurant! Excellent service! Most importantly, amazing food! The beet tartar, duck confit, gnocchi were all absolutely stunning. The plating, creativity, and flavor were easily at least one Michelin star. We were all impressed with how well every ingredient work together. The only thing that fell a lol short was the dessert. It tasted good, but It kind of feels like the creativity and high standards for the appetizer and main course just weren’t there for dessert. I hope that Palette can put more thoughts and efforts into dessert in the future. We will be back!

A beautiful restaurant with creative menus. It was on my “Want to go” list and I took my husband and daughter out for SF Restaurant Week and we had a good time. The ambiance was cozy and I love how even the details are original art down to the glassware and cutlery. The food was delicious.Edit: we went again on a none event day and the prices were the same just not fixed price menu. One change wed make is the portions are not big enough for the price. Just make the portions big enough and the prices would be worth it! So I drop a star for that.Note: SF is pricey so sometimes its hard to tell what is pricey for any restaurant or pricey because its SF. This is fancy dining and pricey for SF.

The place is really cool with a combined shop and artgalary for which one can browse in between courses. The food it-self was interesting and tastefull. Especially the octopus flatbread was (surprisingly) good as I am normally not a huge fan of octopus .

Overall: a month after their opening, the restaurant was quiet and romantic. Its a great space for a date night complimented with delicious food.We arrived right before the happy hour ended and ordered two glasses of wine, talked with the bartender and ordered the cheese focaccia.Flavor was spot on. You get the richness of the cheese and the delightful roasted garlic and mustard notes. The portions of wine were smaller than usual. As main dishes, we ordered the octo-pie (which is a black pizza with ginger and octopus) and Blanc de Blanc (white fish). The octo-pie was very different. A unique experience. Flavor was good but a bit all over the place. I wish it was smaller so its easier to embrace the multiple flavors in one bite. The fish dish was good as well, very buttery. The spinach was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The fish was seared but didnt have as much flavor as I wished. Thankfully the butter helped.Prices were not cheap, but its San Francisco and this feels like good value considering the beautiful atmosphere.

This space is beautiful and the food is delicious. Tonys Beet Tartare is a must have. They also have an incredible wine program (on Wednesday nights, they have a cellar raid and their bottles are half off!). Great to go alone and sit at the bar for a glass of wine or a full course meal.

Overpriced; food descriptions are pretentious to the point of being difficult to figure out what it is youre ordering. Points for being quiet and uncrowded enough (even during big conference at Moscone Center) for a good conversation, though.
