Awesome place. We went during the thanksgivings week and it was pretty decorated and looked really nice. Had a nice time around here visited the towerz of America. It had really nice view of the city. Do visit during the evening time so to grab the nicest view around. But beware of some shady people around here as its a tourist location there are lot of people trying to con you for your money. They should make the frequency or number of law officers around the area more so as to keep these people at Bay.

Enjoy a nice brisk walk through Hemisfair park. A free Kids park for the children. Ride up to the tower and get a 360 view of the city or dine at the top of the tower. Moderately priced restaurant. During the day enjoy a coffee or a beverage outside the tower while listening to the water fountain sculptures. My favorite is to take a picture with the angle wings.

This was a fun place to go for a quick date. Walking up there were tons of people on those electric rental scooter things. Weather was nice (November) and during Covid, the staff took good precaution to keep everyone at safe distance with masks on. The 4D quick movies were neat but the glasses seemed broken as the right of both my date and I were darkened when the show started. Either way, we had fun no matter what. The elevator ride to the top of the tower made me get dizzy (which was the point for me. Im afraid of heights but will still tough it out) Theres a bar at the top (I dont drink) so Im sure the observation deck is even more fun after a couple of good stiff drinks.

For $11 you can park till midnight and enjoy all the area has to offer. Wether it’s the giant climbing playground or the splash pad water park, the great thing is it’s all FREE! Depending on the time of year, it gets blazing hot in San Antonio during the summer, you may want to plan your trip accordingly. During the summer they have a free concert every Friday and sometimes the parking price may increase but not bad for enjoying free activities.

We ordered salmon w/asparagus along with rolls, and coconut shrimp. Salmon was great but asparagus was too tough to chew on and the dinner rolls were tough as a boot. My shrimp was delicious. A very relaxing park even though it is located downtown. If you are near the playground, splash pad, sand pit, or ping pong tables, then it can be kind of busy/loud. However, if you walk towards the tower, you can find a quiet bench along the way. There are bathrooms and a station to refill your water bottle. There is usually a band that plays at the base of the tower on Friday nights. Many events take place at this park so it can get crowded at times. The events are usually decorated beautifully, so I would recommend checking at least one out. Huge improvements have been made at Hemisfair and motor scooters are not allowed in the park, which is a plus from me.

I found what I was looking for and it was easy to check out. The only thing was that everyone didnt have masks on and that you had to wait in over 100 degree heat waiting for carts to be wiped off by god only knows who. There was nobody upfront to do that, Im guessing the cart pushers who looked tired as hell. As I was walking out someone said I was being hateful wanting a buggy with only two bags in it. For the facts I was tired and sick as I was evacuating for hurricane laura I stopped to get something to eat and got food poisoning I was hanging on the buggy because I was barely making it. Covid here in San Antonio is really bad because barely anybody here was wearing masks in there. Scary. Come here be careful.

Free or not based on what you decide to do. But it is fun for people who like being outside. Arrive prepared either way to be hot, thirsty, hungry, and do a lot of walking mostly on concrete. I did not see any wheelchairs available, a walker will not suffice as a person who needs a walker regardless of age will tire from all the walking. Rent a wheelchair prior to arrival and walk behind it when able then sit when needing to continue. You can get to the Riverwalk from here but I did not go that far therefore I do not know if it is accessible or safe for people physically challenged by stairs or if there are any stairs. But SA has slippery stone steps in many areas. The gift shop has good clearance racks. I bought a fun light Turquoise colored t-shirt for $5. The observation deck is $15 per adult. There is a water area for all, from concrete pillars, to cool down at (not far from the main entrance). There is a cool looking play area for children. There are movies (I think free, if not with a wristband from paying for the observation deck). There are a few electric bikes & scooters. You can take your own bike. You could spend hours here. Take your time, go prepared for being in the heat & sunshine. Parking on-site is $11. There is free parking nearby and other parking options for less than $11 be patient & kind when searching for parking. Icees are $5 (@ the cafe/Starbucks) b/c they only come in a commerative tower shaped container. Enjoy! P. S. Theres a photo in the Tower from the 1880s that says 1980s. Ha!

Pass is valid until 10pm, you can leave the premises and come back hours later, maybe at night time to see how far San Antonio city light extend.Parking is $10, but there is a street parking on Cesar Chavez Blvd. about 90¢ for two hours, if you can find a spot, and also if you dont mind walking couple hundred feet.

Hemisfair Park is such a Beautiful, Peaceful Park. It has everything from walkways, Waterfalls, playground for the kiddos and tables and benches to enjoy the scenery. The iconic 650 ft Tower is literally one of the best features in the Park. It allows you the opportunity to get the panoramic view of the city from the top. Theres also the Mexican Instituto of Cultura on the premises which has a variety of Artwork and its FREE to enter. The theme of the Portraits and Art is changed occasionally to Support and bring awareness to whatever occasion a particular month is celebrating. Hemisfair Park also has some replicas of the Olmec Statues and Mayan Sculptures. Along with bronze statues honoring Mexico. This is a great park to relax on your lunch, have a picnic on the weekend or just to get away from daily schedules. Most of all the rich history and what this Park represents Hemisfair 68 is great to see and get knowledge about it. Theres a gift shop in the Tower of the Americas along with a restaurant to eat atop the Tower. It even has a garden called Yanaguana Garden which dates back to beginning of time when the city was founded. The landscaping makes it a great spot for photo shoots, Graduation photos or quiciniera photos too. If youre ever in town stop on by Im sure youll enjoy it.
