As much as I like the place, pool, and activities. I have to say the pros and cons of this placePros great pool. And lil kid pool. Large area. Sand volleyball.Cons. we called numerous times to ask questions. Never got an answer. Or call back. We arrived early to set up for the party. Kids / staff didn’t know where to put us. Mind you it was empty upon arrival so we hoped for the tables near the pool. Instead we were put in one area. Then the manager decides to relocate us further.Another problem was the only one life guard on duty. So occasionally he would say adult swim. At a party which is a majority small kids. I think this was due to the fact he was the only one working. No one enforced the masks. There was definitely more than 100 people at a time. And we would cross paths walking to the pool. When we left the staff tried to over charge us on people. But they miscounted the party. And never took down any names of the people coming in and for what party. The other parties had loud music with explicit lyrics. And most the parties where for kids birthdays.

Beware of Refund Practices & Poor Customer Service - I have been trying to get a refund for my childs summer camp for weeks before it even started. There was no indication of a No Refund policy on the whole registration process. If that were to be the case, I would not have enrolled my child as work is dependent on COVID-19 restrictions. I got the run around, and never received a call. I dont like to complain about a business, but considering every week costs over $230+, & money is tight with a lot of us, keeping money for services never rendered is horrific. If they had been ethical, not given me false info. & given me my refund, I would have used their services for years to come! Taking advantage of people is not right. I should have looked at the other 1 star reviews with other people having the same issues. Just so sad...

I booked an event at Green Tree Tennis Club; I rented out their pavilion and additional areas and the event, a company picnic, was a success. During the planning and coordination process the staff was responsive, easy to contact, and helpful. On event day the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a successful event. This venue has everything you need, if you are looking to host a private event outdoors.

Green Tree (GT) tennis club is a great place for casual or competitive tennis. Eric and Jacob provide excellent tailored instruction based on your needs. Other staff members like Jessica are always polite and helpful. Courtney, the owner, takes an interest in her members and is never too busy to stop by and say hello. She’ll also provide advice on your game if you ask her. There are club leagues for most levels for men, women and mixed. The club also participates in USTA league team tennis that compete throughout the year. There are both men’s and women’s teams at various levels. They also have a nice size swimming pool that members can take advantage of after playing a hard fought match in the South Texas heat. I’m going on my third year with GT and I’m glad I became a member.Art

We had a party on Labor Day with about 25 guest. Everyone had an awesome time and kept raving about how wonderful the place was and how friendly the staff and owner were. Courtney and her staff did a wonderful job of having the place ready for us. We asked for a second BBQ pit and it was brought to use immediately. Some of the guest wanted to play sand volleyball however we had forgotten the ball. The staff brought a volleyball out for us to use immediately. The toddler pool was perfect for the several toddlers that attended. They were able to get in and out with easy and felt very independent. Several of our friends are thinking of joining to become summer members next year. We will definitely be having future get to gathers at Green Tree. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I were invited to a get together, swimming and bbq party, to celebrate Labor Day. The facilities and grounds were top notch. The kiddos got to play at the volleyball court while the “grown ups”, chuckle, played with the water guns and swam in the pool. It was a great day surrounded by friends and great shaded landscape. We even got to meet the owner of the facility. Great times. Thanks Cynthia and Israel for the invite!!

Green Tree is a one-of-a-kind place. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, whether that be for tennis clinics, summer sports camp, or company picnics. Plus, the actual tennis club is gorgeous, surrounded by trees and tucked in so that you almost dont think youre in San Antonio anymore! An environment that you really cant find at any other tennis club in the city and one thats great for birthday parties in the summer (trust me, Ive had quite a few there). Love that place.

Best camp of the summer for both parents and kids. First, courtney is wonderfully patient with us crazy moms. I had about a 100 questions and she patiently answered every email and phone call. The camp itself was super fun for my 6 and 10 year old boys. So much so, that they had a mini revolt when we went to a different camp the next week.My only minor issue is that my boys are not the greatest at putting on sunblock onto themselves and after a brand new can came back home empty on the first day, i switched them to creams. And one still came home burnt on another day. I will switch to swim shirts next time. But it is an opportunity for learning self-care. We added the 13 year old for the next session. Ill update with her thoughts...

I have been a member at Green Tree Tennis Club since the early 1990s. It has been a wonderful family oriented club where we raised our children playing tennis as a family. Both of my children worked at Green Tree during summers in high school and I spent 4 years as a bookkeeper and tennis instructor at the club. Obviously, we have high regards for this place! The membership dues are reasonable, the club grounds are secluded, beautifully nestled in the trees, and great settings for casual parties/camps/etc. Owner Courtney hires personable staff. Of course, there are things that can always be improved upon at any club, and there will be times when there will be dissatisfied customers, but overall our personal experience has been very positive through the years at Green Tree. The tennis leagues are well organized and the grounds are maintained well. We have loved our many years at this club!

My family and I were invited to a Birthday party yesterday 8/8/18. The party began around 4pm and about 2 hours in we were all bombarded with a swarm of bees. We figured it was normal since we had food and sodas (brisket sandwiches). The party went down hill fast when they brought out the cake and attempted to sing happy birthday to the birthday girl. The bees became very and I mean VERY aggressive. They started stinging several guests, kids and adults were stung. It was chaotic. My daughter got stung twice while trying to get away! The poor parents of the birthday girl asked everyone to jump and stay in the pool so they wouldn’t get stung. The family then attempted to start packing everything up while people tried to help them and continued to get stung. They had a cake made with fondant and wrapped cookies, so it wasn’t as if there was a sugar overload. The mother and the father of the birthday girl both got stung and still continued to pack up, it was a very sad situation because there was lots of crying from both kids and adults that were stung. When they finally packed up and loaded everything it was almost 8:30 and we all got out of the pool and ran to our cars. Even the life guard was spraying some guests that got stung. As we left the mother of the birthday girl cried and apologized to everyone and stated that she would be calling the office in the morning. We all asked her if they had warned her of the amount of bees in the area but she said no. We had bug spray but that didn’t work on bees and both life guards stated they didn’t have anything to repel the bees. In total about 8 people were stung. The family tried their best to keep the kids in the pool to keep their mind off the chaos that was happening by the picnic tables. They didn’t get to cut the cake or pass out the candy bags they just wanted to get out of their. In my opinion the party was ruined. I looked on Green Trees website and their is no mention of bees or warnings of possible bees. I also called the mother of the birthday girl to see what Green Tree had said and she simply said they offered to let her have another party but no refund. This poor girls party was ruined and even though the family tried to keep the kids occupied in the pool it was still ruined. I would have bought my own repellent if I had a warning of anything other than flies or mosquitoes. The purpose of this review is to serve as a warning to all. If you book here than be forewarned of the possibility of bees. To Green Tree, please put up a warning on your website. People need to know that bees will be around and there is a possibility of them attacking. If it never happened before then let this be your one and only incident like this. You have a responsibility to warn people.

I have signed my kids up for swim lessons at GTTSC two years in a row (2017 & 2018) and initially had some issues both years with my kids registrations. After speaking with the owner, it is clear that she really cares about the families that attend her programs and making sure that everyone has a positive and pleasant experience at her facilities. She was very apologetic and worked to rectify the situation and I am convinced that our situation was a fluke instead of the norm.My kids, especially, loved it here so much that I signed them up for an entire month this summer. I love the facilities...they are beautiful, peaceful, and well kept. The swim instructors are top notch and are so great with the kids. I finally feel like my kids are really learning to swim! I look forward to a month full of peaceful mornings sitting by the pool, reading a book, and watching my kids learn to love swimming.Thank you, GTTSC, for your dedication to teaching our children and creating fun filled programs in a safe learning environment. We will definitely continue to visit during our summers!

She is constantly recruiting new talent to the club, so you can always hit with someone new. The people are chill and love working on skills to improve their game. Whether you are looking to play singles, doubles or mixed, in the evenings, weekends or weekdays, Courtney will get you plugged in and get you playing as much tennis as you can handle.

My issue stems from the fact that Green Tree Tennis Club (Green Tree) mistakenly accepted our reservation and didnt do enough to right the situation. We made the reservation and payed the $285.00 deposit on 16 May for a Friday 01 Jun bday party with approx 45 guests. We purchased invitations and sent them home with 35+ kids on 17 May. On 22 May we received a call from the Director, Courtney Mayer, explaining a mistake was made and Green Tree should have never agreed to the reservation as they normally dont schedule Friday afternoon parties. She proceeds to give us options for different days/times when we could have the party, failing to acknowledge the invitations had already been sent out, people were traveling to the party from out of town, and people, including myself, had already requested that day off from work. I ask if theyll refund our deposit to which she responds, Ill *consider* refunding your deposit if we cant agree on a new date. She then offers to uphold her (Green Trees) commitment for the original date on one condition – we agree to prepay for 50 guests. Well, that puts us between a rock and a hard place. Were thinking, no matter what, we have to have this party or were going to face a logistical nightmare attempting to reschedule the party and break our 8 yr olds heart in the process by pushing it further into the summer. Were coerced into accepting her offer and later, pay the additional $248. Between 30-35 ppl attend the party and I ask Courtney if a compromise can be reached considering the issue of overpaying stemmed from her companys mistake. She proceeded to scold me for having the gall to broach this topic. She said, people would kill to have the facility all to themselves as you do today and It cost us more to prepare for your party than what you paid for it. We had our daughters bday party at Green Tree the year prior and we could care less if theres concurrent parties. I told myself I would hold my tongue and just eat the overpayment but Courtney prodded me by being her usual pestering self. I was stringing up the pinata on the same tree as last year and she told me to move to another location. Turns out she needed to have one of her workers mow that area. What!? I stopped the gentlemen and politely asked if he could wait till the party was over to mow. He said, I have to... We do it every Fri at this time. Courtney, again, its not my problem you all mistakenly booked our party. We shouldnt have to deal with a loud lawnmower drowning out everyones conversations. In addition, its a significant safety hazard to have kids running / playing while the maintenance staff is using a lawnmower and pressure washer. And she reminded me to clean up after ourselves when the kids were finished hitting the pinata. Geez, I got it Courtney! This is after she asked a group of party guests to pick up trash that was there before we arrived. We brought in a speaker that we ended up not using. But, of course, Courtney had to chime in and remind us not to turn it up too loud. Youre killing me, Courtney! I never signed a contract designating 50 guests, so Im demanding a $50 refund for the 5 guests I overpaid for, plus $50 for the maintenance staff disrupting our party. Last year we undershot the # of guests and ended up paying extra when we checked out. Its unfair that Courtney makes you pay for extra guests but doesnt reimburse you for over estimating. I realize the allure of Green Tree when it comes to planning your event but I implore you, fellow San Antonians, we cant let Courtney Mayer continue to get away with her deceitful business practices as well as her unwelcoming, unsympathetic, combative disposition. Final Note: I saw Courtney taking pictures of the party guests. Not sure of her intentions, but no one signed an authorization form allowing her to post those anywhere.
