Phenomenal place. Anyone born here knows the significance of our Texas history and it is an important reminder that our freedoms as a State and a Nation did not come without sacrifice. We need to continue that fight to keep the Cenotaph in Alamo Plaza.

It’s cool I guess. I mean the whole history of the Alamo isn’t what is really told in the story but I guess that isn’t the point. I think as a work of art it’s great but the whole tale isn’t told. Still something to see.

This is a truly beautiful monument to the men that died at the Alamo and during the Texas Revolution, fighting for our freedom!!! Growing up in San Antonio, we learned at a young age to respect history. This is truly a state treasure that should be kept here for many generations to pay their respect to the men that gave the ultimate sacrifice!

In this city we have city council who seems not well educated in history and do not have respect to a culture, the Cenotaph for him become an eyesore and he want to please to certain political groups of San Antonio. They going to spent millions of dollars to move the Cenotaph away from the place where it perfectly located and that place was carefully chosen by talented artists and sculptors. These money better to spent for preserving historical buildings and monuments.

I am giving this poor rating because it is being removed. An important part of the Texas history disappearing. Sad day for proud Texans.

This is a commemorative tribute to those who battled and lost their lives at the Alamo. Its in the Plaza area, right outside The Alamo. Its a very large, tall, impressive statue. Dont leave The Alamo without stopping to see this beautiful monument.

Beautiful monument to our Alamo Defenders! Sad that they are trying to move the Cenotaph down to in front of the menger hotel where it will be forgotten and moved away from where most of those men lost their lives. :(

Fighting crowds of people but not as bad as some places; they employ crowd control. Still nifty to see and read about the history and see TXs oldest Pecan tree, muskets, bowie knives, etc.
