This hotel tops out at customer service. It is well managed and well owned. Rooms and hotel were clean and the staff was super friendly.From the front desk staff like Shelly to the guys that worked in the back, the house keepers....everyone. You could tell the people that worked their were happy to help and on top of anything we needed. The pool area was very clean and the kids loved the arcade. Good beds, comfortable soft blankets....I could go on but I would say the staff was the real delight in our stay. Very kid friendly......very capable of handling big parties of people and making sure that everyone was satisfied. Any time we stay in San Angelo this will be our choice.

This place has some great potential. The atrium area was nice. Yall REALLY need to get the pool heater going! Pick up some new ping pong paddles and a better net as well. Many of the arcade games were not working.Keep up the good work on your remodeling and it will be a great place to visit in the future!

Bed and a/c was good. All else was BAD. Mini fridge sounded like a train. Unplugged it. Coffe pot did not work. Fortunately my husband is a plumber. He fixed the shower head. There was no water coming from it. The tub did not drain. Looked like ketchup was splattered on the wall. Entire motel is disrepair. Vert nice pool, but the water was cloudy.

Its like a working mans resort with indoor pool, bar and grill terrace, put put golf, pool tables, and air hockey. Would recommend for the dad looking a fun custody weekend with the kids. Walking distance to the river walk area of downtown and all the downtown amenities. Ill be back!

I was hesitant on how hard it would be to to live in a hotel but due to work I had to . It was the most pleasant experience I have actually ever I countered at any hotel . There website doesn’t tell or show you , first how at home the whole staff makes you feel . They went above and beyond to make me feel I was family. The rooms are very nice , clean roomy, with an air conditioning that is amazing! There is so many fun things for the family to enjoy. My Grandson had so much fun playing in the arcade , pool , put put , pool , and our Favorite Air hockey! We enjoyed the wonderful food and occasional drink in the restaurant & Bar . And you can’t beat there rates . So to sum it up if you need a place to stay for one night or months you will not be disappointed!! Thanks to the whole staff !! I’ll be back !

I rarely write a hotel review but I never retract what I write. Again, if you want to go to a place with great customer service, you will not be disappointed, the staff is great!!! This pandemic has everyone on edge but I could have been not been so judgmental with my review. I was pleasantly Surprised when I received a call from hotel management wanting to know more about our stay, she was very apologetic and truly concerned. She did not need to do that, we were just one family that stayed at the Pearl of the Concho in a fully booked hotel. My daughter attended ASU & worked in San Angelo after graduation, she took me around the hotel area & commented on all the businesses that have closed due to this pandemic. Ms. Jean shared the history of the hotel & spoke about all the renovations that have been done, with more to come. They are a family owned business. Our furr babies enjoyed traveling with us, because they were able to stay at a pet friendly hotel. No where else will you find a place where people truly care. Thank you & God Bless.

Rundown. Owners have 0 pride and 0 reinvestment in this potentially good hotel. All of it was shabby. Coffee horrible. Breakfast a joke. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars was the customer service. Great group of people. Friendly and responsive. Respectful and efficient.

Very clean rooms, enjoyed talking to staff as well, would recommend to family and friends. Compared to other places in the area prices are just right. Super family friendly place to stay. The pool is in the center of the hotel and there is an arcade and restaurant located inside as well. The staff have all been very friendly and welcoming. The entire place is aesthetically pleasing and cozy.

This hotel is very large, for its size the grounds remain really well kept by staff. Each room has large windows and nice furniture including desks, beds, seating etc. the hallways are spacious and always free from clutter and the inside pool creates a nice welcoming environment. This would be a really great place to host a party for adults or children alike and the hotel staff is very accommodating. They offer a really yummy breakfast and the staff in charge of food service is very attune to the guests needs in that regards. There is plenty of seating and tables available for a group of guests small or large and the breakfast is very filling. There are some parts of the hotel currently under maintenance/ remodel but I’ve never had this interfere with the quality of my stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and I plan on staying there myself again in the future.

For the most part our stay was good. The apartment that we are moving into is not yet ready so we decided on the Pearl on the Concho Hotel. Initially our stay was supposed to be 3 days but on the third day we had been told that it was not yet done and so we had to basically pay day by day until it was done. Our first night here the toilet sprung a leak so maintenance had to be called up and then we were told that we were probably going to have to change rooms when my girlfriend went down to get the keys she explained to me that the man at the front desk was being very rude in exchanging the keys. I overlooked that as well as my girlfriend so we moved to a room two doors down, no problem. On the 5th day my girlfriend went down to pay for another day, it being our last day the same man that was rude before was yet again rude to my girlfriend as well as we were told that we were going to have to move rooms because there were reservations on that room and instead of changing the room for the reservation we had to go pack our stuff and move another two doors down to a room that has double beds no desk, no space so I could work on my laptop and to top it all off we were charged more than the rest of the days we stayed there. I dont know if he charged us more because of the double but we had a single before that was perfect. My girlfriend was already running late for work when when we had to go back up to the room pack our stuff and move to another room and the reason the man said he would not move the reservation was because he had just gotten there and he did not feel like it so he made us the guests move rooms which can be a hassle because he did not feel like it. I do believe his name was Ismail or something like that. Other than that the rest of the stay was good.

This is a neat historical hotel right off the Concho. Its a one stop shop complete with a restaurant, bar. arcade, indoor lounge area, heated indoor pool, a hot tub, and the all important room in which tp retreat after enjoying all of the amenities. The rooms are comparable to the average, ever mundane room, but so are their rates. Id recommend bringing the family out and enjoying a few nights off.

I have been coming to the hotel since I was a baby with my parents and I will continue to come here as long as they are open. They have everything you could need for a trip or just a staycation. They have ping pong, billiards, a small putt putt area, air hockey, a swimming pool and tons of arcade games to play. They also have an attached restaurant and bar.

Its a nice place. Good value. The staff is excellent. Very nice, welcoming, friendly people.

We stayed March 19, 20 and 21st. Thank you so much for everything!! My kids got to swim on Thursday and Friday. Then the pool was mandatory shut down, which I totally understood. You all were so kind and helpful! The rooms were very clean! The front desk people were so wonderful and helpful. They dialed a locksmith for me when I locked the keys in the car. You have a very beautiful hotel. The atrium was so nice! The kids loved the bridge and water feature over the little pool. The beds were wonderful!! The best we have ever had while staying in a hotel. We will stay at Pearl of Concho the next time we are in San Angelo!! Thanks for making our stay wonderful!!

Great place over looking the river, worth the 6 hour trip to come and enjoy the indoor amenities and services.

The ac drips into the bathtub, the bathtub doesnt drain, half the arcade games were broken, the floors were so dirty our feet were black from walking barefoot, and there was a used needle in the parking lot. They also hold an additional 40 dollars a night, which wasnt mentioned when reserving. The only good thing about this place is the staff were very friendly.

To say this place is dated is an understatement. Bathroom fixtures are rusted. Tub, bed skirts and box springs are dirty. Went looking for my kids shoe under the bed and found a lighter and other bits of trash. Every fabric surface (carpet, towels, sheets, chair upholstery) feels damp. Rooms are dimly lit. Has mini fridge but no microwave. Arcade games are old and show obvious signs of wear. Several of the games dont work. The pool and atrium area are beautiful and appear to be clean and they deliver breakfast to your room. They are remodeling so hopefully these issues will be fixed. Im not sure if the room we are in has been remodeled or not. This place has tremendous potentialbut I dont see us staying here again until these issues are corrected.

Its a nice place to stay. The only reason why Im not giving this review 5 stars is because it took 15 minutes for us to find our room once we checked in. The floor plan is confusing. Even the some of the staff had a hard time showing us where our room number was. Once we got to the room, we realized that we were placed in the wrong room. We had paid for a room that was pool side and they put us in a room that was close to the parking lot. Other then that, I had a good experience here and would come back again

This is the best place to stay with children. One of the few indoor pools in town. Lots of games. Food is good. Bar drinks are nice, nice but severely overpriced. Rooms are always clean an comfortable. As a family we wouldnt stay anywhere else!

These beds are not meant for sleeping. The hardest most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever experienced. The pillows also needed to be replaced. Every pillow was rock hard. We stayed 2 nights. It wasn’t worth it. Now I need to go see a chiropractor. Didn’t get any sleep.

Throw back to my childhood when part of going to stay at a hotel ment swimming, fun, and games. The staff was amazing! Updated room was very clean and smelled fresh. We were made to feel welcome the minute we walked into the lobby.

It was my wifes birthday & we werent able to eat dinner till after 9. Most places were either closed or about to but we saw 333 was open till 11. Food was fantastic, even my 5yr old daughter liked it & thats rare. Service was excellent & the pricing fit the quality of food, u get what u pay for. Wonderful birthday dinner & all by 1 person, yes the bartender, served & cook positions were all well handled by the same person with a lil help from 1 other employee. Im curious as to how the atmosphere is on a busy night...Intend to find out as well

Friendly service inside pool easy to get around

Nice size rooms. Grandkids had a blast with the pool. Adult kids did the arcade. Restaurant was nice menu small but still a good variety. Food was good and it was nice to be able to eat there. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is a family friendly place. You dont see many hotels like this. The price is great , considering all the things it offers. The food is really good. Great coffee! I love the feel it gives of being in an old hacienda home with the fountain in center (pool instead) . I would definitely recommend it to friends , especially those with children! As always, the staff is outstanding and attentive. The rooms are clean and well maintained. I stay during the week so its always quiet. My only minor complaint would be that the maids carts sound like freight trains when they go by the rooms. A minor annoyance.

Nice place lots to do and wonderful service

As a former employee, it is so good to find out that Mrs. Shelly Jenkins is back as GM of that hotel. Shelly is a wonderful lady who works extremely hard. She always goes out of her way, to make 100% sure, that all of the guests are well taken care of. Pearl on The Concho is now back in the hands of a master at work.

The exterior room that has two beds was crowded for a family of 4. The front desk help was unwelcoming when we got there to check-in. They didn’t explain nothing to us on when check-out time was or even explain anything about the pool or where breakfast was going to be at. We won’t be staying there again since that was the first time staying there and had a bad experience.

It was a nice room, clean and plenty big. The only drawback for me was the pool; its nice but not quite heated enough for me. The grandkids had a blast, though. Overall, the Pearl on the Concho is well priced for all that you get!

We along with the rest of our baseball team were scheduled to stay there for a baseball tournament. The tournament got canceled last minute and we were still charged full price plus taxes. The person I spoke with was rude. This was our first time booking here and our last. The last tournament was also canceled and we got full refund on our rooms where we booked. The Pearl on the Conch was not even willing to work with us at all. I will be recommending to the tournament director that this hotel NOT be put on the preferred list.

There’s not even blankets on the bed!!!!!! Terrible rude and lazy staff. Heating/air units old and dont work. Cant hear tv at max volume over outside noise. Dirty bathtub. Half of the arcade games dont work. I can’t say enough about how badly this place blows!

We stayed here two years ago and my kids had a great time. The indoor pool and atrium with games were family friendly. The restaurant was good and the rooms were clean and cared for.This year there are signs saying the hotel is under renovation. The restaurant wasnt open because of the renovation which was a disappointment since our plan was to check in and stay put for the evening. Neither the renovation nor the restaurant closure were disclosed when we made the reservation.Im not sure the extent of the renovations as there didnt appear to be much underway in the atrium area and where our room was situated. The bathroom in our room had tile that was falling off the wall and the tub was stained. I got out of bed and crossed paths with a cockroach.We were unable to find a staff person when trying to check out and explain our disappoinment. So we ended up having to call after leaving. Her response was one of indifference.I understand that this is a historic hotel and under renovation however this experience was sub standard.[Rm 144]

We booked three rooms together and the staff made sure we were right next to each other and by all the fun. The atrium has an indoor heated pool, mini golf, pool tables, ping pong, air hockey, an arcade, and restaurant with decent hours. Housekeeping is prompt & pleasant. When I ended became sick unexpectedly they extended our checkout time with no hassles. Then they let us wait for hours as our car was repaired. Staff made us feel welcome and at home the whole time. Great experience.

The rooms are clean and furnished well there is no mini fridge. They are small but as I dont spend a great deal of time in my room while traveling I didnt take off for that. Drinks are delicious at the bar. They let you play billiards while drinking which is outside of the bar getting rid of that cramped bar feeling while playing. Food was good for the price very sit down casual dining. The staff is the friendliest Ive seen in a hotel like this. I actually talked to some of the other guests there I was not forced the activities area made it easy to make small talk.

Family that visits San Angelo loves to stay here because of the pool area. The pool area is clean and fun. The last time we were there, the owner was making rounds with a tub of iced drinks for the kids in the pool. Who does that!?! He informed us that he had plans for remodel. I think the place is already great, can’t wait for the update. We also enjoyed appetizers at the restaurant. Another nice thing about this place is that the bar is separated from the restaurant by a wall. It makes for pleasant ambience away from too much chatter. Plus, it’s family friendly because of this.

Really enjoyable stay here! The staff is all very sweet and thoughtful; quick to respond to any request. The indoor pool isnt like any other Ive ever seen! Very beautiful! We stayed on the second floor. The room was very quiet even when children were in the pool. We will be staying here again!!!

Our supposed King suite was small so small 2 beds couldnt fit neither. And our bathroom was dirty. We went upstairs to the restaurant and yes the food was so good and the drinks were plentyful. Our waitress was so sweet and nice. And she made our 30th anniversary worth staying that night. Over all I gave yall a 3 stars! pillows make that difference, that are fluffy and Not flat ones !!!!!

The pool was cold,they had no blow dryer and they never put my deposit back on my card they make it sound historic,I know now that means old and not up to my standards I was also verbally attacked at breakfast by one of the trashy guest thats stayed there from now on Ill stay at the hilton,the say on the concho river it very nasty and stinky and u cant even c it unless u walk past the parking lot they make it sound like u can c and hear the river from ur room and there is no jaquezi tub and tons of rude brats at their cold indoor pool not for anything but trashy folks

Friendly staff and very helpful. No issues with having my service dog here. The pool area is amazing. Pool table and air hockey table are a nice touch In the common area. The rooms are a little out dated and the ac is okay. I would recommend this place for a short family stay.

Overall the stay at this hotel was very nice. It is a bit dated but they have obviously taken steps to bring it up to date in the most important ways ( I saw brand new plumbing coming from the wall). The a/c worked well and kept up with my demand for a very cool room, despite 7 bodies in the room. The pool was cool, and my children thoroughly enjoyed it. The shower head was a bit short, but honestly thats to be expected of older plumbing. It didnt seem to bother my 61 husband. The staff we very helpful and enthusiastic, greeting us warmly every time we came back from a long day in the heat. It was also a relief, though you usually dont spend much time there, that the lobby was kept comfortably cool as well. Last but not least we made it to breakfast fairly late in the morning and everything was good and still stocked for us. I cant wait to visit again and spend more time in my hotel.

Amazing!!! The room is so clean and smelled good when we walked in. The food at the restaurant is amazing. We got appetizers, a pizza, and drinks and everything was so good. The pool, arcade, and all the tables are awesome and in good shape. Definitely a great place to stay.

The outside of the hotel kind of looks run down. As long as you get on the front building it is not too bad. I wouldnt want to stay in the back section of the hotel rooms. The kids had a great time at the pool. Though it was very cold. They also enjoyed the putting green, pool table, air hockey, and ping pong. The pool table was $1.00 and the air hockey was $1.00. They also had a few arcade games. If you have young kids I do not suggest staying on the bottom floor near the game tables. It was very loud until late at night. The rooms are decent. They come with an icebox. One bad thing is you get one tiny trashcan for the whole room. That is not great for a family of 4. Lol. The rooms were comfortable enough. If you want to please your kids with the extras it is a good place to stay.

This is a very nice place. Every employee we met was friendly and helpful. All the kids had a wonderful time. We loved it.

The housekeepers they were nice and gave us a nice room services, but rooms were dark. We requested Double rooms and gave us at the beginning a single one. Plus the breakfast was not great at all.
