Some of my favorites attached. I learned that the Roswell Artists in Residency (RAiR) Program has been going on for over 50 years, where a few artists (and their families) each year get a home, studio, and “generous” stipend to just focus on their art with no distractions. The result is this amazing 12-gallery contemporary art museum, which remains completely FREE to all. Going through Roswell? This is an excellent pit stop.

Absolutely fantastic art museum. Great variety of artists with amazing skill. Love the work of Anderson. His paintings alone make it worth the see. The curators were very welcoming and informative. 100% will come back next time Im in town.

Its fantastic to see a legitimate Art Museum that not only gets involved with the local community, but helps support artists all over the world. Its fairly unsuspecting, but very nice, very organized and clean. In my opinion its a must visit for everyone and if you have children, take them! One of the best ways to express yourself as a youngster is through art. Awesome job Anderson Art Museum!!

This is an amazing museum in Roswell and worth a visit. I took my time (2 hours) as the collection seems endless! Lots of variety too. I’m a fan of Denver’s Blucifer out at the airport so this museum was a treat with so much work by Luis Jimenez. The staff was friendly and explained the story of the museum in a very engaging way. If you like art, this is a must see!

My family and I were on a little touristy road trip, and decided to stop here to take a look. They have some pretty nice displays. My favorites were the sharks made of golf bags and other materials, as well as a couple of awesome sculptures. There were also a lot of nice paintings of various styles and mediums. If you love all types of art, and youre in the area, I would recommend a stop here to check it out.

Absolutely enjoyed this visit on our family vacation to New Mexico. We made this stop for my ART loving soul. It was filled with many breath taking pieces of work from student residences of an art institute that they offer in Roswell NM. If your an art lover or just have an appreciation for amazing pieces of work. I encourage you to go and check it out and learn more about what they have to offer the budding artist.

A really excellent fun museum. Its relatively large and is stuffed with art. Even in the restrooms. No blank walls here. Best of all, it has all kinds of art and sculpture. From doodles to classic oil paintings and everything in between. Keeps your interest. They apparently have an active artist in residence program. Which displays prominently in the displayed works. Love it!
