Some very nice and interesting art pieces on display. A must visit place if you live in or visit the Rockford area! Thank you for allowing me to walk through and view the items displayed!

We really enjoyed the museum. We were the only visitors on a Sunday. Because its not big, we were able to take our time and enjoy each piece of art.

I love this art museum! It is well kept, nicely maintained, and they always have interesting pieces in their gallery. Its a cozy museum with two main gallery floors. I recently visited their Art in Bloom exhibit which I thought was fantastic! I would definitely recommend!

This is a very clean and pleasant gallery which had friendly staff. Covid-19 complaint personnel and a welcome air conditioned break from the outdoor activities in the summer heat. We thoroughly enjoyed most of the art, and had fun sharing our displeasure with the rest. Just when we thought we were done, we realized there was a basement with even more art! We didnt find the music too loud or distracting on our visit as others have commented, and even found the selection enjoyable.Side note: we did not visit the interactive portion of the museum which seemed more appropriate for small children.

The Rockford Art Museum is put together very well and is kept exceptionally clean and temperature controlled. With few exceptions they focus on more modern art. I am not a huge fan of modern art, but I respect how they present their exhibits and I always find a piece or two that I really like. Admission is reasonably priced and it is a nice way to spend an afternoon if you are seeking a bit of culture.

They change up the display every season. What an interesting place. The basement is full of taxidermy birds.

Absolutely love this place! Ive been going to the Rockford Art Museum since I was in grade school. The museum offers a great collection, interesting exhibits and a number of events throughout the year. If youre in Rockford and looking for fun place to visit, you have to checkout the Rockford Art Museum.

Viewing was okay but not what I expected. Ive been to better art museums. Walls arent as full as Id like to see.

Loved that they had donation days and that we were able to share the art with my sisters kids

I saw a great art show here on 11/17/18, that was beautifully laid out. The staff person was friendly. I would have given it 5 stars, but the music was just too intrusive. I have a hard time imagining that the sounds playing were what the various artists intended to go with their works. The music wasnt challenging, or too wild, it was just too loud to ignore.

Excellent location to view Rockford Art. Gorgeous space with great lighting and design. The limited space is compensated for by the quality of art and reasonable admission.

Pleasant surroundings, great art. Would have been nice to walk to a place like Nicholas Conservatory....or some place like it. A restaurant. A space just to sit and talk with a friend.

It is the center of town and easy to get to.

Being directly across the hall from the discovery center makes it a very intriguing place to peek at. We hadnt had a chance to stop in yet but we found a chance with a pop up restaurant series they are hosting once a month this spring! We went on Abreos night and really enjoyed ourselves! We will definitely be stopping in to look at the Art and see other feautured entertainment.

Im only giving as much as two stars because of the young kids Art Exhibit that they have every year. Otherwise, their main exhibits have been trash in my opinion for many years now.

Love their openings and that they have started airing movies. I like that they also have the artists there for openings. Dont forget to go downstairs!
