Rochester Art Center is one of the amazing places in Rochester which depicts Arts, science go together. I love being at this place as a science enthusiast and an art lover, this place will always be a must visit one every week.

I really enjoy the Rochester art center. Ive played quite a few gigs there over the last several years and its a unique and pleasant room. The acoustics are surprisingly good considering all the concrete and glass.

We have gone here multiple times for wedding receptions and have always had a good experience. Never seen the artwork or been through that area so I cannot comment. There are good picture opportunities all around the architecture is very unique and its right along the river so you get a good sunset view and isnt it nice vibrant downtown area.

The free family days that the Rochester Arts Center hosts are fun to attend. The ones we have gone to all involve an art project that all ages can participate in and enjoy. It also gives us the opportunity to check out the art on display and current exhibits. It is an easy way to have the family experience and talk about art.

This looks like a good place to hold event, the view is great. It is a great place for the 40 and up age category. I would hang my work here, but I dont have a degree, nor the great mind that the people that run this place seek. The artists that do show their work are overflowing with sophistication and wisdom. I would like to model my life after their great works. I cant understand the old masters, but the modern artists work displayed in the art center are truly revolutionary, take my word for it. An outstanding non profit.

I recently toured the art center. I found it disappointing due to the exhibit content. The building is beautiful, but found the experience to be unfortunate as I toured the entire three floors alone without employee interaction.

Great potential and new leadership will bring together a new life for this center. A city without appreciation for the arts is dead. Need more memberships. Saw Jack and the Beanstalk here years ago. Was terrific. Great sets good sound...better than the movies...attend a show.

We had our wedding reception here, and although there is some construction around the building, none of the beautiful views were obstructed. The staff at the Art Center made our wedding reception run so smoothly; they were wonderful to work with. The venue itself is gorgeous, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river and a beautiful park. Our guests loved it!

The building itself was beautiful but the exhibits.... was not impressed. Now I know im not a master of the arts but I do know enough that a tea cup filled with string is not that. They literally had some sort of wrench as a display. Thats it. They had styrofoam cups that had been dipped in paint and glitter as a display as well as paint buckets standing and tipped over on the floor. Also a video of a faucet running close up then a close up of the drain. Then back to the faucet, water then turned blood red and it continued. Another video of styrofoam cups bouncing around lol it was almost funny. I thought we were being pranked but those were honestly the two main exhibits. It was amusingly terrible. Not even worth the $5.

Went to the Chris Cloud exhibit. Very entertaining, photographs depicting a day in the life of Mayor Brede. I recommend going. The art center is very modern and inviting and easy to access from the parking ramps and walk over bridges downtown. Very handy in our frigid winters.

We took our Cub Scouts here for the free Art Day program. The kids had a fun time, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The art exhibits themselves were more geared towards adult and seemed a little boring for the kids. I think they could fit about triple the art in the same space if it was used better. Id like to see one of the major areas overhauled to be more a kid and family section.

Beautiful space - could bring in more diversity of exhibits. Turning more into an event spade than a gallery and art center. Hope it doesnt continue that way! Theres a lot of potential.

The art center does a great job of bringing the non-traditional arts to Rochester. The exhibited rotate about every 3 months. They offer classes and events to promote the arts. The one downside is that they do not have space for a collection of pieces.

I attended an event at the Rochester art center the other week and have been mulling over a rating based on my experience with an employee. Now if I were to rate my experience based on the beautiful building alone I would give five stars. I didnt think I was even going to rate it at all until I read that other reviewers had similar issueses. Im writing a letter to the board. When I asked where all the art was I was made to feel like I said something offensive. I was treated quite poorly.
