Surrounded by nicely paved trails. Great for a hike on any day.
Good hike, but way to crowded
Always a wonderful experience here. I’ve been hiking this paved trail for over 8 years & it’s so beautiful.
Nice castle. Not much tree lake. Easy trail. Flat road. We parked in Ryan park. Walk a little to trail. Trail look walk than hiking.
I like shortcut
It is a wonderful Mountain ! You can See fantastic Sunset
Nice hike with a breathtaking view it worth the hike thats for sure
Nice view
Easy hike, nice paved way (I was expecting a dirt trail), only took about 35 mins to reach the top. I highly recommend
Ive always loved coming here. Reminds me of the good times I had a as a child. The times with my mom and when every one was still together. Now everyone is separated but Im at home when I come here
I really like hiking here its mostly pavement but if you go on the sides of the mountain you could get an uphill real endurance workout and theres many ways you can go and you could backtrack or crossover and get double the miles in good for kids to and when you get to the top theres a flag and a cross
We visited on Washingtons Birthday (February 18th) and although there were many avid hikers, families, and people working out, it was an uncomplicated paved trail that gradually eased its way to the top. I thoroughly enjoyed this easy hike for a breathtaking view of Riverside, and surrounding cities.
I absolutely loved the walk, bring lots of water, and wear comfortable work out clothes and shoes
Great views, great walk and always clean
Love it. One of my favorite places to jog or run or for a simple walk.
It’s a hill guys... come on now
Always great to back here for burning my fat belly
Love the cross, for Jesus Christ and the American Flag, for Patriotism!!Too Many People Though!!
Amazing
Good morning!! Walking up the Mount Rubidoux
Parking is off site and the trail is short. Not a hike.
Love that place!! beautiful view,,good for walking, jogging, running or hiking!
Fun even in the rain
LOVE the view up here! Very spiritual.
Trail is good for everyone. Start on the left side for a more incline to the top. The right side inclines more gradual. Beautiful views!
My Beutiful Mt Rubidoux...How do I love thee!!!
Love this little hike! Lots of people always there so it never feels unsafe. There are no lights on the path so keep that in mind when you start the hike. There isn’t much shade either. There is a little refill water station at the beginning of the hill and usually easy parking.
Great little trail! Amazing views all the way up. My second time exploring. Anytime I’m in the area, I’d stop every time! Great to do alone or with friends. Plenty of others heading up and down as well.
Pavement trail to the top. Nice easy, trail friendly loop. Enjoyed the view at the top!
Nice view all around
Great short hike, the trail is pave all the way to the top
Nice walk up
Amazing views on a clear day.We went on a Monday afternoon noon. No crowds. Only a few people. This place has amazing history. I recommend walking to the summit where the giant cross that was dedicated to FatherJunipero Serro is located. The climb to the cross has giant stepping areas. Up top there are rocks to climb on to enjoy the vista. The paths are wheelchair and stroller friendly. Parking is easy at Ryan Bonamino park. You can walk dogs on a leash... trashcans and benches are located throughout the paths.Excellent paths for jogging.
Great easy walk on paved walkway. Easy for all ages and stroller moms. There are awesome points and you will need to be able to walk up steep stone steps to get to the cross. There are a few trees to sit in shade and places to sit on the way up or down. Be careful when going when it’s dark. The place is surrounded by homeless people that live in the distant enough ground. I would recommend parking in the park across the street from the entrance to the mountain.
Great hiking spot with an amazing view!
Was a nice hiking was not that hard but do bring waterAnd we made our round trip by 2 hours ( we had couple resting and took pictures too)
This is a GREAT spot to go walking /hiking! Its pretty populated, even early in the morning (pre-5am). There are multiple trails that you can go on (they are paved, not dirt trails) and really its for all fitness levels. Ive seen babies in strollers, people huffing /puffing to walk up the mountain and I get passed by elderly people running /jogging up and down the mountain. Me, my fiance and my 2 kids go every Saturday morning and it is a great family building experience. Lots of people bring their dogs as well, its a very safe and nice place to go. There is a park at the base, Ryan Bonaminio Park, with bathrooms and plenty of parking spots. Ive been visiting this place for 15 years and it truly is a great place to improve your fitness!
Go after the surrounding mountains get snow. Worth the climb
Great place hike ,beginning to end about 2 hrs.. I didnt see any washroom there .. paved trail good for running
The best place in Southern California!
Easy/medium hike walk nice views clean place good parking space at the park across the street
Great place for a run or walk 2 mile vertical with a view
A wonderful place to walk, run, or just stroll with the family BUT be very careful of dog mines found on every trail...Oh, did I mention the cyclists that come up on you (descent) within inches without warning...Overall a nice place to visit
I went with my parents and little sister for the first time, I believe a year ago, and I had a lot of fun. This is coming from a guy who HATES, I REPEAT, HATES WORKING OUT. When my parents was telling me about this hike, at first I kept saying no because when I thought of hikes, I thought of high mountains and hard terrain (LMAO). But, when my parents took me on this hiking trail, I was super surprised of how easy and fun it was. Its a cute little trail that has a easy trail and a steeper, more difficult trail, for the people who want that challenge. Of course I stayed on the easy trail, but I really liked this trail. Especially when you get to the top. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GOING TO THIS TRAIL IF YOU HAVENT BEEN ALREADY!!
Spectacular!Go for Easter Sunrise.Be there at 5amDress layeredMultiple PastorsBe blessed.Jesus has RISEN
Good trail for exercise, but if you’re looking for somewhere to experience nature you should probably keep looking. Also, I’m not sure why there has to be a GIANT cross at the top....
This is a great way to spend with family, and enjoy spectacular views and exercise all at once. A very manageable walk up paved paths surrounded by green cactus and beautiful yellow flowers in the spring.
Great place for hiking. Many trails and many less beaten paths to the summit. Big place to park right next to the entrance too.
Place with great natural beauty and good view
Fabulous place to be when you are in riverside. I visit it every day when I am around
Such a beautiful view. A nice paved hike up to the mountains where there is a bridge and towers to see. Great for families. Went on Veterans Day this is year and it was breezy and cook which was great because there is not much shade on this trail.
If you want to go for a nice hike you will like this place. I took my dogs with me and we went up to the top. Great view. Nice place to take pictures from. We will be back.
My husband and I really enjoyed this trail. Amazing view and isnt really hard to walk through. This is a gemstone in San bernardino county.
Only 4 stars because there’s no real convenient or clear parking area for visitors. Designed more for area residents for their early morning walks and fitness regiments. However, it’s a lovely park with one free water fountain (that we found, there may be more that we missed), benches to sit and rest as well as paved and unpaved trails to help explore the Mount. Best light is at sunrise and sunset. I love the tower and bridge at the top. Feels very much like something you’d see in Europe. Great views of the area from all the way at the top and a giant flag as well as cross for those who like that sort of thing. Just because there’s not a lot of shade. Wear sunscreen!
A view of spectacular mountains awaits you after you climb to the top. The paved paths are manageable but you will get a workout. Some even ran up and down. Parking is located in sports complex about 500 meters from the entrance. Admission is free, parking plentiful and scenery breathtaking. We went there while we had a break in bad weather in what was otherwise a rainy, weeklong vacation.
The whole family loves climbing/walking/running/hiking Mt Rubidoux! Great atmosphere with the best view at the top!
The spot to watch and be watched, to play a different way every day, to connect to Riverside vantage point 360 .. Whether its a sunrise from the east of Riverside, to the sunsets overlooking west of Rubidoux, try visiting the peak after dark to see the city lights from higher heights ! All in all wonderful. Traffic can become apparent whence different skill levels mix. Cheers!
This place used to be a great hike but now theres way too many people that come here even on buisness days in the middle of the day .. Its gotten so congested with people that its even hard to sometimes find parking overall a great view of the beautiful city of riverside. But now its almost like u have to wait in line to hike this.
Its a nice hike:)
Very good place
Great for hiking, quick runs, and just normal walks. A great place overall.
So beautiful up there. Great views
Easy hike and nice view :)
Great easy hike. Well maintained and paved trail. Great views from the top. Parking is a little tricky. We parked in the park at the base of the hill. Can get busy on weekends.
Amazing hike with a breathtaking view. Perfect, for late night hikes.
Great place to discover nature and get some exercise. Even little kids can hike the paved trails, and enjoy the magnificent views!
Sounds good to me
When we are visiting Riverside...its always been a place where my family has walked up every morning....to pray on the top of the hill.....love it...
Good place for hiking and taking fresh air on the top of the mountain. I will never forget the charming view of Riverside.
Not been there yet but this is where the first Easter Sunrise service took place in 1909.
Great place to take the dogs to hike. I appreciate the paved little road to the top.
Good place to take a hike/walk and get a decent view of Riverside.
Great piece of mind and spiritual connection not to mention exercise.!!!!!
Special meaning. Anyways, this place is a nice walk
Great hiking trail for strollers
Always go at night
I love it even more every day.
Great little trail, you can see all of riverside.
I like this beautiful place..to walk.and run .and relax time..and exercises..and more....
Nice trail, not difficult at all and once you get to the top. It is worth it with a nice view(:
Great route for doing runs and hiking. best to go early for runs, but once you make it to the top you your in for a great view.
Great views... easy hike for the whole family.
Nice hiking spot but you need to pack plenty of water
Its a beatiful relaxing place we love it.
What a lovely unassuming mountain right here down the street from me. Different paths for different levels of skill/desired workout. Or chart your own path. Also, check out the historical sites on the way up. Try to ignore the religious propaganda, or enjoy it. Great view in all directions from the top, aside from a giant steel monstrosity ruining the view. Nice dog park at the base and a lake nearby. Close to downtown and absolutely one of the best things about Riverside.
A very popular trail in and urban area that gives you a faint sniff of wildness without leaving the city.
Awesome cardiovascular workout! Great views
Great Place for family hiking and pet friendly
