Always love visiting there. Picked up my 5 K shirt and medal today! Very fun virtual run!
Small little museum interesting artifacts from different time periods. Its not big but its great to kill time and see what awesome artifacts are just waiting to be looked at. The do have bells from 1300s all the way up to the present along the shop walls and some pretty cool sculpture. They have a gift shop as well which the ladies who run it are nice and very informative. I highly recommend whoever wants to come to the museum to check it out. Lots of Asian artifacts by the way and a few of the missions original artifacts that belong to the site as well
Friendly staff, some great exhibits and great price.
Gorgeous. Great to stay or just come in and look around! They offer guided tours and do holiday lights.
Well, have been a local to Riverside for the last 20 years and yes I know this area like the back of my hand and absolutely love it; this particular Mission Inn Museum shop has the neatest gifts and curiosities: I mostly stop here for the honey and always lose track of time browsing and dreaming of another era...
This was a great tour with ONE EXCEPTION... Its lame you cant take pictures. Youve paid to see parts of the Mission Inn so you should be able to take a photograph. Otherwise its a great tour. Wear comfortable shoes, you will do some walking. The docents are very knowledgeable and youll learn quite a bit.
Its not so big and its free. it presents the art work of the city Riverside, the historical buildings models and pictures. it takes you about 15 min to see all the art works. you can reserve a tour at the front desk. its around 10 dollars for 1.5 hours. around this museum, there are some coffee shop and old stuff shops you can spend your day there.
Beautiful museum, I love the architecture and our tour guide was super friendly and made our tour fun.
Amazing! great place to visit. So much history
It was a nice experience. We took the guided tour and it was informative. The interior is pretty well-decorated and the intricate artwork is worth a view. A great one-time visit. We love going here as the bar inside is always something to experience. It can get a bit crowded during peek time but worth going as the bartenders are always great and have a lot of info of the area.
We love going here as the bar inside is always something to experience. It can get a bit crowded during peek time but worth going as the bartenders are always great and have a lot of info of the area. The Mexican restaurant is nice during the spring and summer months as it is a nice outdoor restaurant with a great atmosphere! The spa is perfect for a relaxing time to get that facial done. Everything about the Mission Inn hotel / Museum and all around it. It is a perfect time to enjoy the history, relaxing and eating experience of the surrounding area. It is a ten through and through!!
What a beautiful site to explore.
This is an amazing place to come visit. The museum is very informative and the guided tour is a must but if you are lucky enough to be around Riverside during Christmas time, the mission is a dazzling spectacular light extravaganza. A must see for any fan of lights and decorations.
The guided tour was awesome. I’d highly recommend.
The food would be much better if the tap water was filtered. I can even taste the tap flavor on the chicken. I love this place. Please buy a reverse osmosis water filtration system or a charcoal filter changed regularly.
The history of Riverside is stored and displayed here for all. Take the tour and learn the good (and bad) of those who came before us. For a little dirt ask what happened to Riversides China town.
Nice museum yo visit but very small.
Mission Inn is a great place to relax and take in some history. The renovations in the area are enhancing the experience of the Inn.
Great place to visit. So much history
Very sweet little museum with very kind ladies working here. My children and I enjoyed our visit, the history, the statue if the Roman goddess Pomona, and I walked out with a new book on the history of California citrus. A very special little place to stop by for a visit if you are in Riverside.
Excellent service.
Just amazing place to see and take pictures. Went on the 75 minute tour. I thought I had seen it the first time I toured....nope! There is more. Had lunch downstairs and loved my triple decker BLAT.
It was the be there and one of the dice ya was very helpful! There is so much to look at and you can join a tour.
Nice gift shop and small gallery. The tour is well worth it to see hidden parts of the inn
History tour was very interesting. Original owner was quite a character.
Beautiful place go check it out
Very small setting with few artifacts but you cant go wrong seeing original pieces of history. The staff was amazing. They gave us a great welcome and were full of information. They were great with my 6 year old.
Awesome history. Highly recommend taking a guided tour.
Very informative. Set up of photos and info was easily understood and navigated. They have an old item on display monthly, what is it?, fill out card with your guess of what the item is and win $50 gift card. Unique items in gift shop pertaining to Riverside and area citrus history.
There wasnt lots of info in this tiny museum. I was ki d of frustrated that the only way to really learn was to take a tour. Cant really calm this a museum in my opinion.
Very informative about the citys history
Mission Inn is a Riverside treasure, having enjoyed the adventure of exploring this iconic and historic site for 40 years. Each time is a tour filled with wonderment; you will want to spend a few hours walking up and down this maze-like architectural achievement, and definitely want to stay at this fairly priced hotel and enjoy its amenities
“A must see for Christmas ”My first time here and as a born New Yorker this place was truly amazing. Great for family and kid friendly. Anyone would be happy to see the inn and its beautiful set up
Very informative, I had always gone by rumors when describing The Mission Inn to others. Now I can inform them on the truth. I recommend it to those who love history like myself. Or if you want to seek more information on your favorite place to visit.
Really worth the trip to see and experience this historic landmark... Had a drink at the bar (best mohetos), and visited the museum... It is a taste of an era gone by and you should come and experience it.
Has interesting rotating exhibits. The tour of the hotel was very enjoyable and worth the price.
Place was ok , a lot of history.
Its a Riverside Icon. Ex USA presidents have stayed there. Building is a historical monument, many pictures .
Some rooms are a bit musty. Great place to visit for the day. Beautiful gardens. The lights at Christmas are spectacular, although the area can get a bit crowded at night.
Great family event. Lots to see and do.
It was nice but I thought it was going to be bigger
This place is so gorgeous & the architecture is so insane. & so many things to do nearby.
Was not able to take the tour i paid for considering i had a very active 1 year old who was not interested in the half hour lecture before actually starting the tour. However, beautiful scenery, awesome and understanding staff, great shopping areas, and not too expensive!
Employees are very friendly and they will tell you a lot of stories so chat with them :)
Not much to the mission inn museum and you have to pay for a tour
Mission Inn is awesome, the tour is worth it, the museum itself, could be more. But, it is a hotel, even though there is a lot of history.
Absolutely Beautiful!!
There was an elderly man working. He wasnt friendly and follows closely.
Pretty cool, has a little shop thats way over priced but what else do you expect lol! The museum is cool, shows you a lot of historical pictures and people who have visited!
Nice set up for the Festival of Lights
Riverside is a great place to visit during the holidays. Mission Inn is beautifully decorated.
Very beautiful historic hotel
I liked looking at all the cool stuff there but when I got to the insect or the reptile room dude was totally rude and just plain disrespectful when I asked him any questions about the displays that didnt have names on them so I did bring that to his attention and his excuse was that I should mind my own business .... Needless to say I.wont ever go there again ... In fact its been around a year since I last went
Sign up for the Mission tour and browse here and learn a bit about the history of this amazing landmark
Fascinating architecture and artwork combined with the knowledge of the docent made the tour worth doing.
It is a nice place to visit and stay.
Love this place.. cant wait to go back again...
Go and takes your its worth knowing our towns history.
Wonderful Spa Service
Quaint and small but tells a very complete story of the area and the Mission Inn.

What a wonderful history! So glad it was never destroyed.
So knowledgeable what a great learning experience in Riverside!
Great historical place! Interesting to visit!
Really expensive looking place, but great place to tour as well.
Says free.. then they want $13. Per person to get ..not cool
Its nice to place to visit
Wasn’t really a museum (in my opinion)It was more of a gallery with a collection of some artifacts. Didn’t do the tour so I cannot comment on that.
Fun. Wonderful historic hotel.
Interesting
Went there to pay for an advertising spot.
