Just moved from here from the Hilton Head Island area. This course is amazing. The rolling hills. The leaves were falling. The greens were fast. Walked in to check in and was met by two very nice gentlemen. They talked to us like they had known us for years. Directed us to our golf cart after a run down of the course, location of the driving range and pin placement. Top notch operations.I will be joining at the beginning of next year.Great job guys.

For a high handicapper like myself, this course is very challenging. Fairways are narrow, bunkers are a bit hard, and houses are very close on some holes which is stressful. But overall, the course is decently maintained, staff is polite and friendly, and the clubhouse is nice (although currently undergoing updates and construction). The driving range is nice as well, although the practice green could use some attention.Overall, Im more than satisfied and will be returning regularly. $25 rounds on Tuesday is a heck of a deal.

Pretty average course but I did a round in 2 hours so that was nice. Greens were in decent shape but other parts of the course could use some work.

Played the course on a Monday morning in May.Pros: course layout is interesting, varied and challenging; most greens roll well and true; price is fair; good mix of water, bunkers, and trees/wetlands serve as hazards, keeping you on your toes; friendly staff across the board, from the groundskeepers to the club shop managerCons: Some greens, esp on the front 9, are distressed; some holes, esp on the front 9, narrow drastically at places you cannot see from the tee box, which makes it hard to select the right club unless you have played the course several timesIn sum, a nice course, generally challenging but fair, and fairly priced, and one that I would play again should my travels take me back to Savannah.

The Lost plantation golf club name suits it...ie...LOST. Friendly enough people however the decor is very old. Hours of operation are unknown. Its hit-and-miss with the food. Gentleman that runs it does what he can with what he has. Since going public seems more of a burden and expense to operate. City of Rincon should do more.

Nice course layout convenient location. Very unorganized. Just moved to the rincon area from Atlanta I like to play every week. I usually play by myself. Ive been to this course every weekend for the last month. I usually try to tee off around 10 or 11, usually not too busy around this time. Ive never seen the course packed out. The last couple times I played I was behind a group of 4 people from hole 6 till 18 not once did they offer to let me play through them. I get to hole 9 as Im waiting for the 4 people infront of me I get passed by 2 people that skipped 9 so now when I go to hole 10 i have to wait on the foursome that stopped at nine to talk about their scores and what not but i also have to wait on the 2 people that are just skipping around the course. I got tired of people not letting a single play through, to me its common golf courtesy. Seeing the course doesnt get too busy in the mornings, tee times were wide open 4 spots at 730 and 4 spots open at 740, I decide to get there at 730 right when they open so I can get my golf out of the way and carry on with my Saturday. As I walk in the pro shop I see they have a tournament. First tee time says 8 or 830. I thought perfect Ill just shoot off an hour in front of them, no issue. I get in the pro shop theres a foursome checking in. Theyre being told they arent supposed to have tee times booked because of the tournament but since they already booked I guess they told them to go ahead and tee off on 10. After theyre taken care of, and offered coupons and such for the inconvenience.,I asked the lady in the pro shop so I guess yall dont have any tee times she just says nope not this morning but when I question online theres 4 slot tee times every 10 minutes starting at 730 she just tells me they prefer people to call and book. Why offer online booking if you want people to call. I asked well when can I tee off or should I just try to go somewhere else. She replies with yeah no tee times this morning. So with the incompetence in being able to answer my question as Im still interested in coming back later no big deal I wasnt able to tee off an hour before the tournament as a single which they would have never caught up to me, and I wasnt offered any discount when I came back like the foursome infront of me which actually got to tee off this morning. Just doesnt seem like the course Id like to put my money into every week. Maybe Ill give them a few more chances. I guess I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time who knows but Ive never had an interaction quite like this morning on a golf course. Also 40$ is a bit high for a course with weeds on the greens.

Nice course, I have played 2 times since April 2016. The greens are in need of some work, however Lost Plantation is on this and they are improving. Most houses are on the back nine, even with the occasional errant shots I have not come close to hitting one. Course turf is in good shape as well as the bunkers. Great value for the $$.

Course is great! Do not buy a home here unless youre willing to buy flood insurance. Do not trust Lamar Smith homes if youre interested in building a home here. They will not take care of you once you move in. My lot floods and they will not fix it!
