Nice, small park. There is a 15 minute movie about Chimborazo, a room with artifacts from the Connie was and a diarama with the hospitals layout. The staff are extremely friendly.

I recently discovered that my great great great uncle died here from disease. I read about the hospital and thought I would go visit it one day. Had to go to Richmond and just happened to pass this and HAD to stop. I plan to come back with my sister and actually see and learn the full history. I look forward to adding to this review. (Government shutdown was in full force so I couldnt go in)

The tour guide was excellent. I saw the pistol of the Company Surgeon that wrote my Greatx3 Grandfather a medical discharge for being worn out as a soldier 31st Virginia Infantry. Nice little museum. Still the site of the worlds largest hospital of all times recorded.

The museum is small but interesting. Learned much about medical care of the civil war .The view from the hill is amazing and you can see for miles. The homes in the neighborhood are well maintained and we enjoyed the drive there.

It’s a nice park with great views. The medical museum is really interesting. It’s packed with stuff and well laid out with lots of information. The people that work there are very nice and know a lot. It gives you an appreciation for what they went through in the Civil War and definitely makes you grateful for modern medicine.

The museum is small, a bit repetitive, and one of the staff is a bit pushy to watch the film. But it is free. Decent amount of interesting things. Good way to spend a few hours on a rainy day

We had a nice visit. We put lunch in cooler and planned a long day. Visited many parks in the week. Took lots of photos and took our sweet time touring. The Rangers were well informed. Answered every question the children had. They did enjoy the Hospital and all the Ranger had to offer. Thanks

Its a small museum and probably wont take you much time, but theres a great film and some nice artifacts on display. I think the best part is the large table diorama of the surrounding land and hospital as it had been in the 1860s. Took away one star because the rangers on duty arent always very welcoming. It depends who is on shift, but sometimes they just sit and stare at you without any greeting or effort to be friendly.

Cute little museum in a lovely park. Its not big - the museum itself takes up one room, but its informative about Civil War medicine and its practitioners. The film they show was of good quality, on par with a lot of other Civil War sites in Virginia. The museum attendant was incredibly well-informed and another, probably too-untapped, source of information. Would recommend dropping by and then taking a walk around the park.

A fascinating and very unusual museum covering a subject rarely touched on elsewhere. The subject of the wounding of soldiers and their subsequent treatment is rarely covered in the historical documentation of the civil war. This museum shows 2hat happened in the South and talks about what happened in the North. A must see.
