Have been customer of cal Neva for 20 yrs. Went today for first time since covid. I was very dissatisfied. It was not busy, coffee had a metallic flavor, employees did not act in a professional manner once away from table, to us they were polite and mannerly. My son ordered a coke the first was straight syrup, the second mostly carbonation as they forgot to bleed the lines before serving, so we ordered sprite. It was mostly carbonation due to aforementioned reasons. Steak and eggs perfect but the English muffin barely warm. And to top it off you raised your prices. With practice they will improve but I dont have the patience.Thank you

By far worst casino I have been in. Worst part is I felt with some of the best dealers I have ever met and nothing bud rude servers that tell you to put a mask on while your taking a drag off your cigarette like they get off on the aspect of control. If it were not for the wonderful dealers I would not be returning .

When I come to Reno we visit at least twice. Food is always good, staff is friendly. Price is good on most items.

Its definitely not a 5 star casino but its retro place to go. People are nice. Has the old 80s feel to it. Local hang out spot. The food is cheap and worth it. The prime rib and fries are bomb. I enjoyed it and will be coming back just for the food lol

Best place for some old fashion casino prices. Not many places like that left. $6.99 steak and eggs $12.99 steak and lobster tail. Just dont go in thinking you getting the same quality as upscale steak house but definitely worth the the price!

Havent been here in 5+ years. Looks alot better and more lively with the new paint and lights inside. Sadly due to covid its slow inside but the dealers are all still very nice and personable. Was great seeing a dealer named Malvika. I havent seen her in over 5 years. Glad to see she still there. Will definitely keep this place on my must stop in and play list....

I had breakfast at Club Cal-Neva. I ordered the breakfast burrito with ham sausage and bacon my meal also came with hash browns. The burrito was good. It tasted similar to an omelet. I had orange juice as my beverage. The orange juice tasted fresh and had no pulp which I appreciated. Unfortunately, Club Cal-Neva does not offer non-generic beverages such as Coca-Cola.I am hopeful things will improve.

Great service and we even won a little money!We stayed at the El Dorado but left to gamble because the drink service was so bad. I tip more than average too and still had poor service at the El Dorado.Give Club Cal-Neva a try. Its a little older looking inside but not bad.

We tried a new sandwich called the popper. It was really good. And as always the prime rib was juicy and delicious. Thanks again for a great meal. Oh and they are really enforce the safety of the vivid-19.

Always a great time there, take wet antibacterial wipes, a bit rundown in restrooms. Dont stay too late, still a bad area during early hours, even inside the casino area!!

A locals hidden treasure! I used to go for an egg McNeva after clubbing in the early morning hours... now I just crave it as my breakfast randomly. Treat yourself to the experience, maybe try your hand at roulette!

We did not gamble or do anything else here other than have the $5.99 steak and eggs and an amazing order of huevos rancheros... Definitely worth a trip

It may have that old, musty look but the food is decent for a decent price, the staff is friendly and efficient and yes, even though it may look like it may be grimy, they keep it quite clean. Its gotten better over the years. Had the chorizo scramble this time. Really good and less than Dennys.

I have to say, I love the environment vs the big box casinos that are so impersonable. Very friendly staff from service to bosses. I notify them that I was in town from Chicago and they even supplied me with a set of house dice as a momento so kudos to the underdogs!

It is pretty sad to see a once thriving city to go get away and gamble, see a show, or enjoy a very fair priced buffet has become a thing of the past. I dont know how these big buildings and properties can maintain their businesses with so few visitors and little support along with this current Covid pandemic? That being said, we have had nothing but great service from every property weve visited. Especially the table dealers at Club Cal Neva. Thank you all.

I like to visit the Club Cal Neva for its great prices; cant beat that. Also services are good. I noticed emphasis on keeping areas and machines cleaned after use.

We had breakfast at the top deck restaurant..out waitress was super nice . Nona I think was her name ..the food was decently priced and big portions . Couldve used a little salt but still good nonetheless.

They dont have good promotions for the gamblers. But they do have good food at the cafe.

Food was pretty good and at a pretty reasonable price. Environment was not that great at all and neighborhood seemed a little sketchy on a Sunday night.

The bartenders are friendly, the drinks are CHEAP, kareeoke nights (when they happened pre COVID, and eventually will again) are really fun. Personally a big fan of the grill downstairs,good food good prices.

Parking garage is a dumpster. Absolutely filthy with trash everyone. Disgusting!!!! How can you attract customers when nobody cleans up that filth.

They need better security patroling outfront. There was a lady across the street about 57 -58 short straight blonde hair. Was wearing pinkish leggings, Gray stripe shirt. She was yelling about Drinking motor oil sticking their tongue out at people and being really harassing. The people who were in her vacinity felt intimidating. These things have happened in the past and those that have a grudge with me. Shouls F off.

It was alrite the food was so so they had new cooks in the kitxhen so their was no seasoning on anything steaks could of been cooked better but it was edible nothing went back to the kitchen

Very disappointed in Cal Neva I told them look I should have been paid on this. One and only play after I stuck a 20 bill and this didnt pay one red cent. I know I should have been paid on this spin. I smell something fishy and I still feel u should be compensated for the time that I have to show and prove how I should be a winner these people rely on computers that they dont want to believe the truth that they mess up to.

Its a nice casino in the downtown area of Reno. Staff here are nice and the environment is clean and well kept. Had a quick bit too at their little snack bar area. Cheap and good.

How does one rate the Cal Neva? It is one of the oldest, if not THE oldest, casinos still operating in Reno. Its an icon. Its not glitzy, glammy, and all dolled up. Its down, dirty, and gritty, like that one friend you have, whose maybe not okay for all audiences but who will never let you down. When life was normal, there was only two places to get some quick grub late at night for a price you could still afford, and Cal Neva is definitely one of them. Ive been an occasional patron of theirs since 1979. I dont go often, but I do go, proudly, if nothing else for the nostalgia, for good memories I have there, and for the familiar faces that have worked so long at the keno upstairs and top deck restaurant..I think that how long some people have worked there says a lot about their culture. Its not fake and fancied up, its just one place that really is the old school heart of Reno. 5 stars for it just being itself!

Their steak and lobster for $12.99 is a great deal. This is our go to when we want to eat.

Very nice staff. At 1st I thought it was not a winning place, then my luck really changed. Food of prime rib was great at $6.99. I won $23 on Keno so meal was free. Nice time. I like hanging out with the locals, get away from too much glitz.

Club Cal Neva for me kinda keeps some of that old Reno feel. Drinks are cheap, the machines and tables are fun and you can still get a decent, cheap bite to eat.

Not the upscale resort youll find visiting the MGM or the GSR but the liquor gets you buzzin and the diner prices are killer. Where else can you find a prime rib steak and fries for $5.99?

Everyone is so friendly everyone sanitizes to keep everyone safe.

Club Cal Neva is a landmark locals casino with three floors of restaurants, bars and lots of gaming options!The main floor has table games in both buildings such as Blackjack, Craps and roulette I believe. Lower denomination bets are accepted.Top Deck restaurant is probably gamers favorite, but Snackbars and a higher end restaurant is above floor in Center St bldg. Plenty of free parking available in two multilevel garages.

Has pretty good food deals. Like their breakfast but service can be a bit slow.Good arcade with cheap games for the kiddos and pinball lovers. Some pinball games are 3 games for a dollar. (Arcade is tricky to find)

The service at top deck was excellent the casino was nice.

Best bang for the buck restaurant in all of Reno. You can now feed your entire family without needing to pawn your wedding ring first. Dont expect to be wined and dined in luxury appointments. Just great food, fast service , and very friendly staff.

Came here for dinner...had a great time with my friend. I has the western burger...he got steak and shrimp.The waitress was very friendly. Food was really good for the price.His steak and shrimp plus a side salad came with it...forgot to get pics of it... 8.99...my burger and fries only 6.99..Nom nom.I would recommend eating here if in reno.
