Photos and descriptions from websites didnt do this museum justice. I was under the impression this would be similar to many other auto museums Ive been to and it would be a good hour to hour and a half long pleasant experience and worth the $12 admission.Nope! $12 is a bargain, seriously. This wasnt an hour ordeal. We were there for over 4 hours! This place is huge and brilliantly laid out. 4 different galleries full of cars and cars and cars, with side streets between galleries that have more cars, gas pump styles, mechanic tools, and more. The staff encourage you to take as many pictures as you can, and I took nearly 700 by the time I left. I was a kid in a candy shop here and didnt realize how many photos I took until my phone was nearly dead as we were exiting the museum.I wish I could visit this place again and again if I lived here. This is a great way to spend half of your day, and for $12 admission this is a steal. One of the best experiences Ive had on my vacation so far. I implore you to give this place a shot, even if youre barely interested in automobiles.Google is asking me to add photos to this review, but thats asking a lot so Ill add them separately.

Lane and this museum will take your breath away. You’ll need a dolly or still with wheels to take it all in. Amazing historical cars, each with glorious history. Read the details of few of them at least and you’ll see. Best place in Reno by far. Wish they had more motorcycles though. Best $12 spent.

This place is such a treasure. Was totally not expecting such an extensive collection. We aren’t big car people but still really appreciated the cars and the enthusiasm that the people that work there share. The workers are SO friendly. The man at the front desk was so passionate about the cars and so proud of the museum and kept telling us how happy he was that we were there. Prices maybe a little high ($12 for adults, $6 for children) but they keep all of the cars running for special events and constantly need to perform maintenance on them. Located centrally in Reno, do not miss it!

Wide range of motor vehicles on display. Some very unique and rare. Theres something here for everyone. Unfortunately, I was expecting more. Come to find out part of the collection was recently sold. The museum itself feels date, perhaps its appropriate given the subject matter. All in all, I say go judge for yourself.

It was a bit pricey for the experience, especially since they didnt tell us until afterwards that the theater and a few other features were not working. The cars were really cool, and i like the historical setup. I wish there where more organization into the historical context, and precursor of the horse to the automobile. (Which maybe was part of the theater and other features that i wasnt able to see.)

A fun place to see some old amazing cars. Had way more early 1900s cars than I anticipated. The tour went at a pretty decent pace but its hard to cram in so much history in just over an hour. This is a must see if you are married to a automotive nut or are just a history buff. But actually I loved it as well. Had lots of previously owned cars used in movies or those of well known Hollywood Stars or Celebs. Very well done, excellent exhibit flow and history about period pieces. Seating for short breaks from walking, lots of display photo ops, even costumes to really get the feel of back then. Good value and history lesson.

TAKE THE TOUR. The free tour at 1:30, after the informative and somewhat entertaining film that plays every hour on the hour, leaves walking around the museum and reading placards in the Nevada dust. John spoke at length and in detail about dozens of the car models here, and he expertly narrated the story of automobile development through a compelling narrative that struck me as both well-practiced and interactive.

WOW! This place is amazing. The curators have done a fantastic job of organizing this venue with the very best of automobile history. There are all kinds of vehicles, pictures, written narratives, and historical archives -- all of which come together to tell the rich story of cars and the people and industries that have used them overtime. I was very surprised by what I found here and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place on your visit thru Reno. You will not be disappointed.

This is a must see for the automobile aficionado. Many of the cars on display are extremely rare examples of early designs of the late 1800 s to one-of-a-kind custom built luxury cars from the roaring 20s to the 50s and 60s. Celebrity cars once owned by Elvis, Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr., & Lana Turner are among these selections on display from the late gaming mogul Bill Harrahs collection. Extremely well done displays and excellent lighting. Bookstore offers a wealth of information, classic magazines art and other gifts. Plan to spend at least two hours, take a camera, and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Awesome car musuem. According to their advertising, its amongst the top 5 car collections in the world. Im not what people would call a car enthusiast but nonetheless I was blown away by some of the vehicles they had. I saw at least 4 cars that claimed it was the only one in the world. Decently priced to get in. I believe it was $12 for adults, $6 for youth or seniors.

A truly awesome array of great automobiles, including some that are 1 of 1...the ONLY vehicle of its kind on the planet. Vehicles from the 1800s all the way to the 40s/50s SUPER well represented. The 4th gallery (of 4) had only handful of cars from the 50s/60s so that was surprising. The various street scenes representing different eras were great fun and very well done. You can even take a picture in an old car wearing period correct clothing... Cool! The amazing variety of designs, propulsion systems, and evolving car tech was just awesome to see. Cords, Duesys, Franklins, Fords, race cars, expsrimentals, famous owners and too many more to list... I loved this place. Has to be one of the top auto museums in the US. They aren’t really into cars but once you start reading about the history behind certain models (a car made by one of the members of the Heinz ketchup family, another car from 1937 that got up to 43 MPG, which the museum has the ONLY model ever made!). They also have the Thomas Flyer which drove from New York to Paris, a feat that shocked the whole world at the time.
