I took my fiancé out here for archery for his first time and he had a blast. He even was able to hit the target.I was able to use my own bow and the friendly staff even helped me adjust my sight. I will definitely be going again. Only 15 dollars for an hour. Which is very reasonable.

We vacationed in South Lake Tahoe but picked up a good deal on Groupon for this place. My wife and son had their first experience with a compound bow here. They received a lesson and they were on their way. They enjoyed is so much that I bought them both PSE Stinger compound bows. They go almost every week to the archery range in our hometown. Thanks again to the great staff.

Ive been coming here for over a year and it has never been disappointing. They offer personal trainers, fixing personal bows/arrows, practice in lanes on personal time,Pin shoots every month, offer bows you can practice on, and they sale bows w/ arrows.

I was in Reno visiting and I tried out this shop as something “off the beaten path” to do, and now I am hooked. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and showed me how to shoot and bow and arrow before letting me go off on my own for about an hour. This was a family friendly place and would even be great for a date night for something new to do.If I didn’t live thousands of miles away, I would have walked out with a bow and arrow kit to play with.

Daughter and I were going to Tahoe for a vacation and saw this when searching Groupon. Worked out that they opened for the day right after we landed and they are near airport. We stopped and had an awesome time before drive to Tahoe.. Staff was wonderful! A must stop when in Tahoe and less than 5 min drive from rental cars.

Everyone Ive dealt with here has been knowledgable, theyve helped me improve my archery skills a lot, and introduced me to bee techniques.Mostly, I come here for archery tag though, which is ridiculously fun, its pretty much dodge ball with padded arrows instead of balls.

I have now attended Wasting Arrows Archery twice. The first time was for an intro short lesson & bow/lane rental. This was my very first time shooting a bow (recurve), and was enough to give me a taste for archery. I then returned 2 weeks later to take a private lesson with the owner, Lystra. In the interim between visits, I did a tremendous amount of research on recurve archery, and e-mailed Lystra several times prior to our lesson. He was gracious enough to take the time to answer many questions a complete newbie would have for a new sport; providing pro-tips & purchasing advice to ensure I got the setup that was right for me.When it came time for the lesson, I was pumped to test drive all my new gear, under the tutelage of Lystra. He actually took extra time just to help get my equipment dialed in (a little tricky when you’ve never done it before), and provided excellent support, coaching & encouragement as I spent my first hour with my own recurve bow. The gear felt extremely natural for my body geometry, and was a total pleasure to shoot. This was ensured as a positive experience with Lystra’s fantastic coaching! Awesome tips & lots of laughs made for the perfect learning experience. I am now archery’s newest fan!The facility & staff are top-notch. Clean, well-organized, and laid out thoughtfully to accommodate both showroom & range needs, along with a full service tech desk that can help solve/fix just about any equipment issue one may have (plus an excellent loyalty/points program), Wasting Arrows is the perfect indoor archery experience!Lystra & his fun, friendly, & fantastic staff have earned both a rock solid 5 stars, and a client for life. I cannot wait to go back! Take a trip there, and you’ll feel the same!

I went to summer camp there before it moved. I got a quiver there. Pros: membership program, quick sign in for members, fast bow rentals (return and compound) has lessons. Cons: when school is out, very busy.

This place offers free practice for UNR students on Sundays (or at least they use to, check with them first). The staff was helpful for us new people and gave us just enough information to get started before we got to shooting.

Checked this place out after stumbling on a good groupon. A normal trip will run you about $22 to shoot a recurve or compound bow, six arrows at a time, for an hour. The empassioned staff is very open to giving a few tips and tricks before you shoot and dont hesitate to go the extra mile.
