Great place to go if you want a somewhat quick hike to the falls. I bring my dog here almost every day. Not a good place to let them off leash though unless they are extremely well behaved. Because there arent a lot of off the beaten path spots. There is a trail to the falls if you park on the park side and walk a little ways back up the road to get in, the trail is on your left and youll walk under the bridge. Probably a half mile or so round trip.

Easy hike in with a slight elevation change, little inclide coming back out. Great little spots to stop and gaze, or find your spot to set up and enjoy! Fun rock-jumping area at the Falls, with various heights to choose from. Water was COLD and the levels were a little low. Great little hike for the family with littles who are ready for a little challenge. Not long, but a bit slippery and tricky in a few spots.

Very unique and lovely waterfall. There are green bushes and vegetation growing between the water chutes. Note: The start of the trail is not marked. There is a dirt parking area on the left side of the entry road just before you get to the main parking area. There are 3 dirt paths across from this dirt parking area that lead down to the path that takes you to the falls.

Good for kids to splash around but very muddy. Lots of muck in the water. Too much yuck in the water for me to want to go deeper than my knees. There are also a lot of people so there were barking dogs and little parking. The bathrooms were clean. Nice for a quick picnic but not a great swimming hole for adults.

Beautiful falls. Its about a mile hike to get to the falls. Only went to the falls last weekend but there is a longer trail that leaves from this state park at 8 miles or so round trip. Lots of places to fish and swim or rock climb. The river is lined with lava rock. There are flushable toilets here. As well as camp hosts. plenty of parking.

For one thing, u dont have to pay to get in or pay to park... Theres easy access to the water and the park is kept very clean.. It usually gets crowded as the day goes on so u do want to get there early..

Clone Falls is a photographers dream. A great escape for a quick cool down. State park on the left of the highway has several swimming areas some are kid friendly and some are not. (Too swift or real rocky) Or you can park alongside the highway and hike down the right taking you under the bridge. This area is usually ADULTS ONLY. The actual Falls are also this way. It really doesnt matter what side you take this trip will definitely be 2 thumbs up for you.

Oregon State Parks does a fantastic job in maintaining our state parks. There hasnt been one state park I havent been pleased with yet. This is a hidden one, just outside of Redmond. Quiet and clean. Perfect for a quick stop on the way outside of town. Fishing is also top-notch in the spring!

Stopped here for a quick walk to the falls. As we parked, there were a number of other cars doing the same, but there were a number of vehicles parked , for what seemed, other reasons. We parked near the entrance, by the bathrooms. That is my suggestion as that has more traffic. We walked alongside the river to the falls and captured some beautiful pictures. One thing I did notice was that many people like to stay right next to the falls, go a little further downstream and other beautiful pictures can be had.

Beautiful low key park. Kept clean, both the public bathrooms and general presentation of the entire park. The swimming area is super low in late July, not ideal for older kids and teens but perfect for little ones in life jackets. *There is not a life guard nor life jackets available on site. The falls part of Cline Falls is a little misleading as the actual falls is not located in the general area of the park. It is only about 15-20 minutes away from the parking lot though, so not a bad walk/hike for most. There appears to be trails that lead you along the river, though we found ourselves knee deep in mud too many times to proceed with our adventure!

My partner and I like to run to this spot and jump into the river on Thanksgiving. In the summer, when the water is low because of controlled canal flows, the falls are exposed, there are smooth river rocks for lounging.

Review №56

This is a pretty nice area. There’s a variety of places to look at the River, but unfortunately the advertised Cline Falls are not actually in the scenic viewpoint area. My friends and I discovered that after 20 minutes or so of searching around. The actual Cline Falls is in a relatively undeveloped area across the highway. We parked on the shoulder of the highway and had to take a dirt path down. Lots of old abandoned roads and cement pieces. Not a well kept area, and no directions to the falls or information about them. The only redeeming quality is that the falls are quite unique and awesome to climb around.

Nice state park right on Deschutes River. Bathrooms to change into swim suits, clothes & flushing toilet. Picnic areas & some shallow areas for little ones. You also can float for a short distance. Heads up, theyre are water snakes thst swim close to the banks but they are harmless. Small state park compared to others but still a great place to go & close to home.

Cline Falls viewing area is a small area. It doesnt really have many designated parking areas, so you just pull over and park along the side of the road. It does offer quite a few picnic benches. Ive seen kids fishing and getting in the water here. It is pretty and serene sitting by the river.
