There are two fawns that we see often and they allow us to get fairly close without running away. We also discovered a rocky cove where we found a toad and named him Henry! Overall, our experiences here have been very enjoyable!

Very nice shaded picnic area with tables acceptably COVID-19 precautionary distances from each other. We enjoyed a family brunch, and played fetch with the dog.

I really like Blue Jay Point County Park. It would be a five star if there was a swimming beach. Otherwise it has a lot to offer: hiking trails, visitor center, educational gardens, open field for play, picnic shelters, and a private business called Go Ape, a tree top zip line that to my knowledge is the only one in Wake County.

Fantastic place to go for a walk! And to take photos and see birds! As an avid birder I was like oh well thats a cute name and figure I wouldnt see many birds but I did and was very happy. I also saw alot of squirrels and two deer. Deer in North Carolina are oddly unafraid of people or she just didnt mind my taking a selfie with her either way it was awesome I had a nice walk and enjoyed myself.Once you get away from the parking area and the people of course lol

Wonderful park. The center is interesting and informative. Went to look at Go Ape Zipline and Treerunner Park..very fun looking if youre adventurous and not afraid of heights. Go Ape isnt free but based on what I saw and my daughters experience, its worth it. Saw many dogs enjoying quality time with their parents and it was a pleasure. I will be back to investigate this park again since I also enjoy birbs watching and there is a nice population even on a chilly January afternoon. Check it out!

This is a fantastic park tucked away off of Six Fork road. There is a massive playground for children, and multiple ball fields. I also believe there is a lodge available for educational trips.I launch my kayak from the boat Launch about a mile up the road and ride to the little island there at blue jay point. Its a beautiful place to watch the sunrise.

Awesome place for a family day! Hiking trails, bike trails and Go Ape! Zip line for adults and go ape Jr. For kids looked like a blast, but was closed when I was there last. Will definitely be going back to do that. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Besides a sun soaked playground for tykes, not much is happening here. Has a privatized zipline/ropes course that has to be expensive. There has to be some trails somewhere.

Blue jay Piont is a good place with lots of problems. Their educational activities make the trip fun as your able to rent lodge and spend time with your family camping. The problems thou is having trouble keeping track of time. Their dishwashers or other kitchen itms break down, and the beds are extremely unconfortable ss they feel hard like rubber. If you ever go make sure to bring soft sheets on top of there beds cause your not giong to have a good night sleep sleeping on them normal.

Nice park but they need more picnic tables and more playground equipment. Also they need tarps over the equipment. The big playground is so hot all the kids big and small are in the sandpit under the tree.
