Theatre Raleigh is one of the best places in North Carolina to take in the theater whether it be a musical or a play. The staff is first rate and the actors/actresses are terrific. For the price, quality and production, there is not a better event in Raleigh to experience. Get your summer series tickets.

I just saw The Scottsboro Boys, and left in tears. What an amazing performance, and a poignant and brilliant approach to telling such a tragic story. The staff was friendly and helpful, the theater intimate, and the acoustics so robust it seemed the emotions of all in the theater were reverberating off the walls. It was the sound of what was being said, and what is rarely spoken of. I guess maybe Im a theater person now? Thank you, Theatre Raleigh, for that gift, as hard as it was to swallow. I still feel the lump in my throat. But it belongs there.

This is the sixth year in a row we have been attending Theatre Raleighs summer series of shows,. Most are held in the Kennedy Theater, a small black box facility seating less than 150 people, located behind Meymandi Hall. Some shows have been held in other venues, including at the NC Art Museum. We have found the shows to be of a uniformly high quality usually using a mix of professionals and talented local amateurs. The small setting insures a more intimate experience and we think TR represents great value with great shows and performances.

Smaller more intimate theater. Went to go see a showing of Big Fish here. Fantastic set usage and the space was the perfect size.

We went to see Newsies and wow, the best singer believe it or not in my opinion was the guy playing Crutchy. Beautiful voice. Thanks NC Theatre....
