What ISNT there to love about this place? The staff are amazing, drinks always strong and vibes always on point. I love the ambiance and general chill vibe of this place. Definitely one of my faves.Be sure to come by on a Tuesday for EDM night. The people watching is *epic* and the music is always different and well curated.

Decent bar with some really good bartenders! I had a drink and I didnt notice that the glass was cracked but my friends did. I dropped that off with the bartender as we were leaving. Other than that, standard bar with a pretty lively crowd.

Excellently located on the party center of Fayetteville Street, this tavern is indeed nice. The drinks options are extensive and the bartender girl was beautiful and prompt. However there were no food served during the Sunday noon time and hence I rated this 4 stars only.

We were a party of four, were seated timely, had a very competent server, Dwight, and the food was surprisingly impressive. The pork belly with grits and this heavenly bourbon gastric was just succulent. The burgers were fresh and well cooked with a homemade pickled onion jelly. The cocktails were sturdy.Well done!

Great place for a cocktail and quiet when attending one of the many downtown Raleigh events. Clean bathrooms. Great bartenders. The only place I know of that serves Raleighs cocktail the Cherry Bounce as it should be served and made (from cherries fermented behind the bar).

Love the atmosphere. Enjoy playing darts and they have a ping pong table. The DJs on the weekends kill it and it’s always a fun place to dance or just chill.

A nice local watering hole with a great story. One of the best places for whiskey. You can play darts and some bar games. There is a dance floor and karaoke some nights. It can be loud, but the barstaff are awesome.

I was there last night with a group of friends for my best friends birthday. We had great service at the bar, and the dj was amazing! We loved the mix of music he played! We danced forever!! All TVs had a different sport & I loved the way the bar had a rustic feel. Hope to go back to watch a game or dance more!!

Great spot! Bartender (Brian) told the whole Isaac Hunters story. Awesome (and I am a Raleigh native). He customized a few drinks for our specific and eclectic taste buds. Higher recommended stop under new management. We will be back!

Lived in Raleigh for two years and a bar like Isaac Hunters is exactly the bar Ive been looking for. I like that you can enjoy yourself on a late Friday night and being able to sit down and hang out with a friendly DJ playing good music, and not crammed into a crappy sweaty bar thats standing room only.Im specifically pleased with the bartender allowing me to switch a drink I didnt like for one that I wanted..Ill be back again soon!

One of the only places open late in Raleigh with a healthy selection of Scotch. Plenty of other drink selections as well. Inside is massive but I love the bar. Its big and goes on for days. Visited here 2 nights in a row.

The building seems nice. Large spacious interior. But the service was poor. The event being held there (Harry Potter bar crawl) was an utter and total rip off. I only mention this as a co-owner of the bar is a co-owner of the bar crawl company. Very poor organization. Very poor experience.

Disgraceful service. Their bouncers are allowed to assault unassuming, compliant patrons.If you like getting thrown to the ground, watching your sister get shoved by bouncers, or having your credit card confiscated by staff without any explanation, this is the bar for you.I visited the bar with my cousins after my one cousin got married. Around 1am, we were preparing to leave, because I was getting sleepy. I was operating on little sleep having worked until 3am the day prior and had driven 9 hours to get to Raleigh.The bouncer noticed I was sleepy and came up to me and said it was time for me to leave. His tone was not demanding or rude at first, and I said I was getting ready to leave and was compliant. I walked with him to the door on my own accord. Once at the entrance I turned to let my sister know I would be outside. I was a step from the front entrance. It was at that point that this (mid 20s, scruffy red haired, wearing a baseball hat) bouncer threw me on the pavement outside the bar and began grinning. I proceeded to ask why the other two bouncers allowed that. They both looked uncomfortable with what happened because they saw that I was being compliant, but still did nothing. When my sister came over, she was pushed outside too, again for no reason.Then finally my cousin came out after they refused to allow him to close his tab and get his credit card back. He had to call and have it cancelled instead.Note, that I wasnt being disorderly, I didnt get in a fight. Im not even arguing with their decision to ask me to leave. They are allowed to do that. I did nothing to warrant physical force, but thats the type of southern hospitality I received at this bar.The bar itself isnt a bad place. I harbor no bad feelings towards the bartenders working there. I do take issue with an ownership that allows staff to physically assault their patrons without any reason. I really wonder what they do when there is a real issue.I attempted to call ownership, but they dont have a working phone. I have emailed them and will wait for a response. If I dont receive one, then at least I know the police department responds and Ill give them a call and they can take a look at the bars security footage. They dont need to take my word for it. They can watch the tape. There were witnesses Ive spoken to. The ball is in your court, Isaac Hunters.UPDATE:I spoke to the owner of Isaac Hunters an he was remorseful about how me and my group were treated and discussed how the bouncers behavior was not in keeping with the bars policies. He told me that hed be following up on the matter with his staff. He was genuine and asked that if I was ever back in Raleigh, to contact him and hed personally ensure that we had a pleasant experience.While I obviously cant give the bar 5 stars due to the service, Ive bumped my review to 3 stars because of the owners response.

Very fun atmosphere, good drinks, and has dart boards. Bar tenders were very friendly and talkative before it got busy.The infused liqueurs were interesting but not very good.

Pretty packed on a busy night. But varied draft choices with a few bartenders working the bar, keeping the drinks flowing fast and smoothly. Other bars could learn alot from this buisness model.

I was there for a private party and beer and wine however they were able to serve being liquor which is what I wanted.

If you want to pay $2 for a “membership fee” to enjoy a few drinks at a bar that smells like straight vomit. Then good news, this bar is for you!!!

Eh kinda dank bar thats a bit dirty and smells like stale beer. Although that is like most fratty bars. Kareoke is nice and a few fun games but otherwise unremarkable.

Did not spend any time at Isaac Hunters. It looks like a very nice bar with comfortable couches.

Terrible. Service is awful- bartenders all have an attitude problem. They made my drinks wrong right in front of me, then charged me to make the correct one. Was nice about it, but still had my card grabbed from me and refused to close my tab for another half hour. Pretty sure thats illegal. I heard it used to be good but from my experience Id rather wait 15 minutes for a drink somewhere else.

This place just reopened a few weeks ago, and I have been a couple times already. It is a great atmosphere for a casual night out with friends, and the bartenders were pretty good too. Check it out if youre in the area.
