The food was 10/10. Great flavors and very reasonable prices for what you’re getting. We came for Sunday brunch and had a reservation. Host was very kind and was clearly doing all he could to help. Our server was very very slow. She was kind but it took almost 15 minutes for her to come to our table after we were seated and took a pretty long amount of time for the checks. She was still nice though. Would definitely come back.

We love trying restaurants and getting out of our box. This was in a very cool older building in downtown Raleigh that had that awesome rustic charm that we never knew was there. The staff were friendly, the Bloody Mary was just the right amount of spicy and the food was so good we ate every bite on our plates! The dessert of the day sounded so good we had to get one to share. All in all it was a very nice experience that made us want to go back again.

We have been to Capital Club 16 for dinner on several occasions and we have never been disappointed.Today we decided to go for Sunday Brunch and oh how glad we did. Every offering on the brunch menu sounded delicious. We wanted to taste it all.My wife had the Pan seared Salmon. It was Baked salmon, pepper jack grits, roasted tomatoes, sunny side up egg with creamed spinachI had the Fried egg Florentine. A couple of Sunny side up egg, potato cakes, roasted tomato, mushrooms, fresh greens with a side of Schiller sausage. I Finished my brunch off with a cup of counter culture coffee.The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Bernard, our server was very nice and made our time at Capital Club 16 just perfect.

Love the building, theres better food in Raleigh. I ordered the daily special which sounded really odd but they pulled it together fairly well. It was a sandwich with ham, meatballs, prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, tomato and liverwurst spread. My first thought was the meatballs were overpowering but the more I ate the better it got. The fries were cooked well but had a seasoning that I personally didnt care for. I ordered a side salad as well. The lady looked at me weird when I did and never asked me about a dressing. I just went with it as sometimes in places like this they just make what they want to make. It ended up being a small cup stuffed full of greens with a few pieces of fruit on top. I ate the fruit. Im not fond of gnawing on plain greens so that was a waste of my money, 3.50 worth to be exact.The wine was good. A Sauvignon Blanc Ive never had called Strauss.Service. Eh. No one seemed happy at all. Now granted it was busy but everyone seemed like they were clocked in and just working. As I was finishing a guy walked over, adjusted the seat next to me and genuinely asked how my meal was. He was different. Seemed like he actually cared. He seemed like he may have been a manager or owner. He talked to a lot of people.Overall, it was good but I have a list of places that are not miss for Raleigh and this one wont be on it. I do believe Id come back for a cocktail though. Cool bar, awesome atmosphere.

This was my first time at the Capital Club 16 and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant is beautiful and presents itself very well. The menu and food presentation match/exceed the restaurant’s beauty. I had the quail while my counterpart had the chicken salad. They have a dish for every palate. Go and experience this place.

The staff is super courteous and accommodating. The food was ultra tasty. I had the sparrow which is a sandwhich with mixed cheeses, apples and onions. It was a super mild medley that paired well with the mixed greens and fruits. Their vinagarette was super tasty. The location is small and you may have to park in a lot. I parked two blocks away and ate on a Friday afternoon at 2 pm so it was not super busy. The presentation was nice and my food came out quickly. #LadyBiznessapproved to the MAX!

What an excellent find. Had Sunday brunch. The food was really excellent. We had the German faire. I had the pork schnitzel and it was delicious. My wife had the German platter which included white sausage. Great too. They sell Hofbrau lager on tap! The Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Our server Glynnis was very helpful and friendly. Very attentive. Oh yeah, the chocolate cake with banana sauce was outrageous.Good coffee too!

Closest thing youll find to Germany downtown. No better place to watch the soccer game than on one 26 inch TV. Wouldve liked the mustard to be more authentic, like the decor, which was superb. 4 stars.

We recently moved from Raleigh and this is where I want to eat when we come back in town. Food is fresh and varied, service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is great. They have menu items that theyve had for years but are always mixing it up.

Great unique American dining experience. Unpretentious, fresh food, with great cocktails. More importantly, we had a good dining experience because of the waitstaff who were attentive and descriptive of the menu.

First time here and me and my GF loved it. The atmosphere was great even tho it is a bit noisey in there. The staff we interacted with were very nice and our waiter had a good balance of taking care of us as well as leaving us to enjoy our meal. The food was excellent. We had the shanny fries as an appetizer and then she got the rahmschnitzel I got the shnitzle sandwich.

Great authentic German food in the Capital City. Friendly staff and owners. We just stumbled upon it and were welcomed like family. Our waiter was on point. Some of the best service I have ever had.

For whatever reason, the Capitol Club 16 is actually a small restaurant featuring German dishes and beverages. Not exclusively, but predominantly. Its all good though and so is the service.

Great Sunday (or any day) place in downtown Raleigh to dine. Diverse menu sure to please any palate....enjoyed a coffee stout with brunch greens salad. Perfect! Service (thank you Arthur) was top notch!

For dinner I had the mac and cheese amd added a bratwurst and for breakfast I split the sausage gravy and biscuit and the french toast with a friend. Mac and chesse was great and with the bratwurst was a great meal for dinner. The breakfast meal, sausage and gravy was excellent and the french toast the portion was very large but very yummy. I will be back here soon.

This is a good place for food and beer. I love the fact they have authentic German beer on tap ️ they also have good brunch and spicy blood Marys. The food was really good and nice and fresh! Will definitely be coming back here to try other things on the menu!

We had the burger and salad with fresh fruit for lunch. It was delicious. The burger was topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions, provolone cheese, and a sunny side up egg on top. We asked for it keto style without a bun. We would definitely go back.

Great atmosphere and it was easy to find. Took my boyfriend here on a date. Reasonable prices for downtown sandwiches. Food was top notch. The staff was surprisingly attentive and amazing. Didnt feel like we had just one server, felt like the whole team took care of us. Thanks guys, keep it up.

Dont order the brisket. There are so many other restaurants around town with much better, and cheaper brisket. This meat was gray, no bark on the edges, the meat was tough, chewy and dry. The restaurant on the whole has a terrible atmosphere, its very loud and unless youre only there with one person you wont be able to hear your party. Sitting on the street would be quieter. The fries were the only redeeming quality. Just order those and then get your meat somewhere else, ANYWHERE else.

Perfect lunch spot right in the heart of downtown. Their staples are great and the specials are excellent. Small bar and beer selection, but this is really the place to go if you need a reasonable, quick lunch downtown and dont want to skimp on quality. Mostly classic sandwiches with a twist - Ive tried most of the menu and theres nothing I wouldnt recommend. The salads are also generous and very well done. Wait staff is great too!

The Soup was amazing, and my wife and I had the Rahmschitznel to split, which was plenty for us both, and was absolutely amazing as well. Had a round of drinks for our party of 5 with appetizers and the bill was under 150!

If you like old school food then this is for you. Sausages and meats that are amazing. The brunch on Sundays is a downtown favorite so be prepared to wait a few for a table. The bloody Marys are good, but the round of mimosas is the best way to go when with a group, 11 mimosas for the price of 4 basically. So commit and go with what makes financial sense! No matter what you get, its all good. Thick cut bacon, fresh fruits and always well prepared food.

Great food, great service, and for late diners like myself, there is usually a table available on weekend nights! German/Americana fare and some of the best french fries Ive ever had. Dont overlook the specials menu: its not your run-of-the-mill spoilage prevention plan. They have some great seasonal dishes, as well as some creative one-offs. Cant go wrong with Cap 16!

Stopped by for lunch. The food was excellent and prepared fairly quickly. However, it was extremely loud. The room just seems to reverberate all noise. Other than that, the place was good.

This place has amazing high quality food. We went here for date night and received exceptional service. The wine and cocktails were outstanding. I had schnitzel and it was very tasty. Ask for a plate of bread and butter while youre here to munch on. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Brunch seems like it would be great too.

Great little restaurant in Downtown Raleigh serving European inspired dishes. Try the Schnitzel Sandwich, really good. If you like mac and cheese get their Skillet Mac & Cheese but add bratwurst. The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere, beautiful decor, and great staff. This is one of the hip and trendy places to visit downtown. Definitely not one to miss.

Inconsistent quality of food. Had to ask to remake my potatoes. Was great second time. My waiter was no good. He was not attentive and not following with the status. Hopefully it is not the case most of the time. Great German bratwurst.

I would love to comment on their food, but I didnt get that far. I came in, I saw the sign that said please wait here to be seated, so I waited. I took my sunglasses off and put them in my bag. I watched three members of staff have a chat behind the bar. I watched one of them go to clean off a table, and the other trail them like a puppy continuing their conversation. I waited a little longer. I watched them come back to the bar. I attempted to make eye contact. I said um...hello? Because maybe they were busy and they just hadnt noticed me. They looked at me and then carried on what they were doing. Perhaps they just didnt register that I was there. But after a couple of minutes, I gave up, left, and went elsewhere.

This is a favorite date night spot for my husband and I. The staff is also the best as casual attentive and professional hosts.

Im kind of picky when it comes to food and most places will fall short from time to time but I have never had a less than stellar experience here.Its always in my top 3!

To get the last star is hard for them, because theyd need more room in the building. I sometimes show up to eat and see no seating and walk away.Obviously, its a place to be at when theres room. The meat and cheese plate with pair of beers and a friend is a great time.

Came here for brunch after church on Sunday soon as they opened. Wonderful service and the manager checked on us several times. We ordered the French Toast and Farmers Breakfast Eggs. Both were excellent and I cannot wait to come back again! I must admit I do wish they would renovate a little bit or at least get new padding on the outdated/ dirty chairs, but I suppose thats what makes them unique.

Ive been eating here for years, but only for lunch. The staff are friendly. Its good food, but its leisurely. The sandwiches are eclectic and fun with a twist. USome day Ill make it for dinner. Its small, so be prepared for a possible wait depending on when you arrive, but worth it.

I dont eat out as often as I used to, but Capital Club 16 is always one of my top choices if I am going to go out. The food is great and can offer something a little different than most restaurants. Game Week is always a favorite time to revisit.

The food was wonderful. Average price for lunch is about $11. They highly suggest you make a reservation for lunch however they have first come first serve at the bar and a few tables outside. It was pretty loud inside but worth the tasty sandwich.

The restaurant itself is nice, the service is underwhelming. We had brunch and the waitress (some clearly unhappy blonde girl) was like a walking zombie; hence the service was not up to par. Very unfriendly, and the food isnt good enough to warrant an excuse of poor customer service. Overall, there are much nicer places with much better staffing choices. Definitely not going back.
