Place is great because of its model. AS 220 has been around for a long time now founded by one individual and run by a lot of hard-working people. The venue is great and all they do

I love this hipster/artsy bar. They got amazing vegan buffalo Mac&Cheese with fried cauliflower def my favorite in Rhode Island. Roasted chickpeas with garlic, basil, and paprika it’s a must every time I go. Cool spot to get food. They also do special events in their side room. I’ve been to the poetry slam that they host once a month.Check out my vegan blog on insta @vegan.gardens

The food is fresh, freshly cooked and seasoned with love; and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is cozy and serene. Its not a fancy or elegant establish, quite simple, but the chatter and laughter and non stop music thats piped in from many genres makes you feel really good, exciting my taste buds and instilling thoughts like I can enjoy eating and chilling here for hours. After paying my check and walking out the door, I found myself looking back and planning my next visit.

AS220 is a spacious hole in the wall bar that has a formal and comfortable scene with great service, the people are very nice, professional, and respectful. The place can fill up quick so find your seats. With the outside dinning area it makes a good way to enjoy the weather good or mild, and experience the unique life that revolves around downtown Providence.

Food was excellent and original. Large enough servings to satisfy, but small enough a shared appetizer is reasonable. Draft selection could use a more basic choice, but was varied enough I found something I liked!

This place was okay. Extra point cause I fear the social backlash if I dont show love for the arts. I mean I am sure it is fine, to be honest, I didnt even go inside. Not that I dont love art or whatever, I just showed up late for the performance and didnt want to wait for the intermission. Instead I got some bubble tea.

So my friend and I went to the crab, and first thing was confusion if we sat ourself or wait. No host, 3 waitstaff here, bartender and bar back there. No one jumped or announced themselves for almost 3 minutes. We were given a rolled trashbag, no silverware or drinks. We waited another 5 minutes almost for another waitress to ask. We I dont drink alcohol, and I dont like tea. Thats all that was on the menu, I had to ask if they had fountain drinks. My friend knew what she wanted and I said I would like the chicken fingers and onion rings, and that is my meal. My friend then asked the waitress if they had drawn butter, she didnt know, then asked about fresh melted butter, yes. I asked if the rings were beer battered or breaded, she didnt know that either. I was given the wrong information, I was given my meal as the appetizer, along with her fries, so I waited until her food came out to start eating. The wings were the cheap 3.99 for 10 at price right quality, the onion rings were like the breaded ones were stripped off and battered, very distinct taste of not dipped and soaked in buttermilk. No quantities on the menu, just prices, and very pricey for 5 normal, tiny, thin chicken tenders, not even tossed, just slathered. The best part of my meal was the BBQ sauce. I finished my drink, tried flagging and calling our waitress over, almost like she was trying to avoid me that time, I say that because she had walked around the bar, and for 5 tables in the whole restaurant, there wasnt that much action. My friend had to ask for the claw crackers, I needed a fork, and there was no shell pick. Very lousy, will not return. Too expensive for my kids meal. Want a refund

Eclectic place but room for improvement. Attended a tech event and the bar didnt offer soda. Would have been really uncomfortable for an alcoholic attending the event, and what does the DD drink all night? Wine served in half plastic dixie cups. Video Projector mounted on the ceiling kept shaking when people upstairs were walking around. Not enough chairs for the number of attendees, and no attempt to rectify.

The food is great here and caters to a lot of different kind of diets/food restrictions. The menu is seasonal, which is exciting, and I believe much (if not all) of the ingredients are local. Its a good place to bring a few friends, but it can be dark and/or loud so probably not the best place for all.

Never has the connection between, what can only be described as goddlyness and flavorful sensation, been so closely intertwined to an establishment.
