Nice area to spend time with family and friends

Its a nice place to go when we have a nice evening to listen to usually good music. They have picnic tables if you want to sit in the shade under a canopy. Most people bring their own chairs to sit in but they do have some benches around outside also. Theres a playground there for the kids. Its just a nice evening to get together with friends and family and enjoy some good music on a summer night.

Nice park, has a playground, tennis court, and a basketball court

4 stars for convenience. However, it would be 5 stars if it werent for the conditions of the field. Its decent, except when it gets wet. There are patches of dirt on the field, some big and some small, and if you get caught on one of those patches you can sure bet you will slip. I think something should be done to improve the conditions of the field, at least so that the kids who play there wont play with that risk factor of getting injured. Overall, fields are decent, but I think renovation is required. Just my opinion.

Nice field, could use a few more portable rest rooms. At least the ones they did have there were pretty clean.

I have irritable bowels and they flare up sometimes. I go here and walk around and try not to think of my irritable bowels. My doctor says I might have to get on meds sometime if it doesnt improve. I already suffer from explosive diarrhea when I get nervous. I spent many a night in this parks toilet thinking about my irritable bowels.

A beautiful park by Wappingers Creek where all the Town of Poughkeepsie Soccer kids have played for years.

New pavilion, playground and basketball court. Plus the police let us keep playing past sunset since we werent causing any trouble :)

Nice for picnics, tennis or kids playground, but used to be good for fishing. They have mostly blocked the creek and destroyed any fishing potential. Was great when I was a kid

Great place for soccer games

Well lets be honest, I didnt go to Greenvale park for the park. Behind the park is Wappingers Creek and thats where I went because I went fishing. For those that are interested the creek is a very relaxing area though the fish are not that big. The creek has both trout and bluegills as well as crayfish and from what I saw a really big turtle. The creek has trails shadowing it though in some areas you may need to bushwack.
