Part of downtown Portlands extended living room. A nice place for a peaceful and joyful rally, or observing humanity on a sunny day.

When us women needed a public place to unite in solidarity, against ...some aspect of Patriarchy or another, I dont recall...The Plaza was very well maintained, the landscaping staff is to be commended.

This. Small grassy plaza is conveniently located across from the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Court House. This plaza gives you a good stop off or cool down place if you have business at either of these buildings. There is a Starbucks across the road and a couple of eateries making this plaza a nice outdoor area to eat and drink your latte. This plaza lacks sitting areas. You’re got the grass and rock walls.

This is where we come to rally, to protest, to grieve & to celebrate. Community space at its best. It has certainly gotten a work out in the past few years.

Great big cool modern art sculpture/fountain. One of downtown Portlands most attractive minor attractions. Sometimes the less desirable elements try to congregate there but it usually is well-patrolled.

Part plaza and part park, this little oasis is a great place to sit and chill for a while. The design of the plaza itself is pleasing to the eye and there is an amazing amount of beautiful landscaping packed into the small area. Nice place!

TS plaza is owned by the Federal Government, meaning federal laws apply. If u are going to use any kind of weed, go to the city parks or face arrest. They also dont like people that look no business like, youll be detained and questioned.

A lot of Portland Public events are held here. But in the winter its extremely dangerous because all the grass (around the brick bowl in the center) becomes sheer mud, just like ice. Had a really bad fall there, almost resulting in a concussion. Do not recommend this place.

Pros: speakers circle makes it a lively location for protests, Chinese limestone pillars make for an interesting counterpart.Con: this park is infested with rodents. Visible holes/ rat dens meet ineffective and prominent traps. Terry Schrunk the man was a notoriously corrupt mayor who was lucky to escape federal prosecution.

This park is across the street from city hall and has a speaking area so it is often where protests develop. Its a nice park to sit and eat lunch in when it isnt full.
