Recently had my first experience here and I will definitely be coming back. Ive spent time in various clubs in Las Vegas & Los Angeles and the feel is different in each. Sanctuary was a pleasant surprise. Even with the pandemic in full swing Sanctuarys staff & patrons were warm and welcoming. I can not say enough about the staff. They answered questions, served drinks, constantly cleaning and disinfecting. All while being friendly and helpful and keeping things fun. There are even themed nights to keep things exciting and new. Im not sure if its due to the pandemic but there were none of the snobs or cliques that can make a club like this hard for new people to be comfortable or feel welcomed. There was a heavy mix of differing age groups and body types with none of the rejection you can see at some clubs. Instead, everyone was happy to be there and just happy to be able to socialize. Even while wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. The club and staff really go above and beyond to keep everyone as safe as possible and to minimalize any risk possible.All in all, I will be going back. I cant wait to see how things are when everything is in full swing and more interaction is possible. Maybe this way it was easier to dip my toes in without it being overwhelming.

This place is wonderful for my experience it was a very nice place very clean the workers of that place treat you with tremendous politeness.

Ive been coming here since they first opened, over 3 years ago. Sometimes as a single male, sometimes as a couple, and sometimes as part of a group. It doesnt matter. I get charged the same door fee as everyone else, without a yearly membership fee. I also get treated the same every time, by both the staff, and guests. No judgements. I love all the different theme nights as well.Covid became a concern, and they closed for awhile. Did an enormous amount of work on the club to make it a safe place to be during these times.I have been to the club several times since it reopened. The Covid protocols are awesome, and Ive always felt safe & comfortable! Ill be back this Friday, Oct. 9th to sing Karaoke!!!

The only thing I hate about this club, the idea that if you want to join a play,stay out of the room and wait to called. I have been to so many parties and wait to be called, I have never seen people stopping to play and walk outside the room to invite people. I think, people come to these places expecting to be seen and observed. Let people be in the room and wait to be in the room,give people a chance to ask,and if who they ask doesnt want,then a NO will be appreciated. Or you should close all curtains for people playing,otherwise why do I come to an open club and stand as a statue or spectator without saying anything?

Reasonably welcoming and friendly. I attended a partner dance class. It was educational and fun. There were a handful of creepy guys aggressively negging, but that isn’t the fault of the business. I’d prefer a few “creeps” than a business that polices what people say.

I’v had lots of fun. Except for my experience last Saturday I was reprimanded by the night manager for only taking the sheet off the bed An not remaking it my mistake I thought I was supposed to clean up after myself not be reprimanded by someone in the middle of the club! embarrassing I’ll be checking out other places.

Well priced, welcoming and friendly. No putting on airs, just real people doing their thing...free of judgement. It has ambiance and a good overall vibe.

My fiance and I really do love this place, however were very recently disappointed in the behaviour of the owner. We made plans to be there on new years eve for their Fancy night and were very excited. Mind you we came here many many weekends prior with no issues and had loved it. Well this particular night there was supposed to be a very strict dress code and a much higher door fee....we were very okay with this until we got there and realized that most everyone decided not to follow the dress code like we had and our fancy new years evening was not like it was supposed to be. I didnt intend to be rude so I went and spoke with the girl at the door and told her that this was not what we signed up for and that we wanted our door fee refunded so we could use it to get into a better party. She was great and apologetic about everything, but told me she would have to get the owner so I agreed to wait seeing as I had previously interacted with the owner I figured everything would go fine.....well the owners husband was the one who came out, and was very angry. Raised his voice and talked so disrespectful towards myself about wanting a simple refund due to the dress code not being enforced. Demanded I walk around and show him all the people who werent in dress code and when I refused acted insulted and basically threw the money in my direction. It really put a bad taste in my mouth towards this place considering we had loved coming up to this point ...we havent been back since then and dont know if we will. It was the best sex club we have been to around here and that is why I will still give it 5 stars. Maybe just avoid the male owner if you have issues his wife is much more pleasing to deal with!

Great atmosphere. This is a sex club/ bar. The decor is tastefully done. The patrons are very respectful and follow the guidelines. And they even have a karaoke night! The drinks are slightly overpriced, but not too far off the average downtown costs.

Fantastic club! Nicest people in town, very inclusive and great at throwing parties.

The events here are always a treat! Most recently I took a partner dance class which brought even more connection to one of my relationships. Bonus points for having a blast!

Sorry no photos were allowed at the club the night we went. My wife and I attended the 11th annual summerween party at Sanctuary first week in July. The club is very well run and the staff were friendly and professional. There are a variety of different types of guests at a this club and we were visitors for this party. We try to attend as many Sanctuary sponsored parties as possible. Brad/Tammy and crew are seasoned event hosts as well as front personalities to a fun lifestyle club. We were impressed at how clean and well run the facility was. One of the most impressive facts about parties at Sanctuary is the caliber of the regular guests. The rules are followed and enforced with no drunk punks spoiling the evening. The private room is cleaned as it is used and the spanking room is well regulated. The Sanctuary owners also throw parties at other venues which are epic to say the least. The Sanctuary decor is tasteful as comfortable with a full service bar and great dance floor but no food that I could see or at least I didn’t see a menu. My wife and I are way out on the outskirts of this lifestyle, even considered vanilla, but we truly enjoy the people that attend this club.

This place has the best events and hottest people. This is sadly the only club where my consent has been violated multiple times, but it was kinda handled. Drinks are more expensive than other clubs, but cover is lower for men. Make sure your shoes arent on the bed and your belongings are neatly together while youre playing if you dont want staff chastising you while youre playing. I watched an S&M scene get really out of hand that wasnt stopped, so Id avoid booze, bondage and beatings from anyone you dont know well.

I freaking love it here, but I dont like having to scream just to carry on a conversation right next to someone else while comfortable on a couch - Music was a bit loud at the time I was there.Everything else was fantastic though, great atmosphere!

Wondering around Portland and found this gem. Great staff, great people and 1 of the best BDSM nights i have ever been to.

Best night club ive been to so far in the entire city 90% of the people are approachable, 95% are kind, has specialized nights like game night, low cover fee, clean, and classy.

Great venue, they always have some type of event each week. I have always felt welcome, respected and comfortable here. Thanks k you for opening such an accepting space for all.

They were mean to me said something about a dress code that was not on the website the only thing I saw on the website was dress to impress, attire which will impress and which does not impress nothing about being mandatory.I dont take meds instead of assuming all autistic people take meds address the dress code problem

The dress code is very confusion, saw someone wearing jeans I thought jeans were unacceptable.If you can make your dress code more clear I will more than certainly change my opinion.

My partner and I went to Sanctuary tonight for the Halloween game night. I had a costume that involved having cutouts of words taped all over a slip (Freudian slip). My partner went to the bathroom and a man approached me. He asked me how to join the game of jenga that I was watching, and I said that he just needed to sit down wherever. He asked if he could sit down next to me and i said yes. After a moment he asked what my costume was and I told him I was a Freudian Slip. The word that was taped to my right bre ast came off and he grabbed it and pressed it back on to my bre ast area without asking me. I felt very uncomfortable after that and stopped talking to him.After my boyfriend came back, he encouraged me to talk to the staff so i told a woman who was working there who was very concerned with the situation i described. She went to get the owner. When the owner came, I explained the situation and he asked if he had pressed the piece of paper into my bre ast or had just placed it, and demonstrated by lightly pressing on my breast where the paper was. I told him that it was my breast area and that what he, the owner, just did, also made me uncomfortable. Instead of apologizing he said he’d talk to the guy and walked off.I told my boyfriend I wanted to leave right away. I was very upset. As someone who has experienced se xual viole nce at many points in my life, I had hoped Sanctuary would be exactly what it was named: a Sanctuary for my se xuality. It touts consent, and yet the owner doesn’t practice it or apologize when boundaries are crossed. I would not recommend this place.While I do not think the owner was purposefully being se xual or aggressive with me, it bothered me that he touched me on my bre ast without asking. It also bothered me that it mattered how hard the guy pressed. He did it without asking. That’s what matters.My partner and I go probably every 6 months. We aren’t regulars by any means. But we will not be going back. I would not recommend going if you have considered. Classy, sex positive place to meet and play with like minded people. The owners obviiusly know what they are doing as far as safety and atmosphere.

Definitely our go to club when feeling frisky.I feel like I should start a review by giving a word to people that would be absolutely new going and are nervous (we definitely were!). There is no reason to be! It certainly can be a little overwhelming to walk in and see half naked people being bound by ropes to the ceiling (on occasion), but there is absolutely no pressure.Sanctuarys name is very fitting, for us at least. Its a laid back place to meet new people and have a amazingly sexy time doing so.I think when you review a place you really need to compare it to somewhere else, for us that would be Privata. Why we (a couple) like Sanctuary more is the atmosphere is ALOT more laid back (less formal) and the cost of going (door fees, Privata has membership fees Sanctuary does now), is more fair. The one thing we both like more about Privata is they play music we like more (Hip hop, 80s, dance music ... Not techno ish). Anyways, LOVE SANCTUARY.
